Austin was a great guide to me and my friends while we rode, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone was safe, had fun, and were well equipped and comfortable during the entire trail. From start to finish, this was our best experience by far for horseback riding over the decades. A sentiment shared by my wife, daughter & twin grandsons. The trail was gorgeous, serene & varied. The guides (Austin & Jack) were knowledgeable, attentive & genuinely cared for the horses and riders. The value, in today's pricey economy, was great. read more

Austin was amazing during our ride, he taught us everything we needed to know. Showed us some natural ginseng growing on the trail. And overall it was great relaxing experience all thanks to Austin. read more

Natchez Trace Horseback Riding Tour was hands down one of the best tours I've ever experienced. Austin was an amazing guide--him and his wife made sure we felt comfortable and gave clear directions throughout the ride. You can tell they really care about what they do. We had so much fun, and getting to trot and canter made the experience even more exciting. The horses were well-trained, and the whole ride felt safe and enjoyable from start to finish. We had the best time with Austin. He was very incredible and easy to talk to! A private two hour long trail ride/lesson at our own pace. We were so pleased with the disposition of the horses and the aesthetic of the grounds! You get to ride through a beautiful stream and gorgeous trees. We would definitely recommend it to you, our yelp friends. Our horses were Star, Bandit and Ranger and they were all so gentle and took us for a great ride read more

Natchez Trace Stables - We had a wonderful experience on our trail ride, thank you!!! - Horseback Riding Near Me - Primm Springs, Tennessee

I have been to these stables for trail rides for a couple of years and have always enjoyed them. No matter time of year (dress appropriately of course) it is beautiful and you get to see so much of the gorgeous nature in Tennessee. The horses are all gentle and well trained, but they are animals with minds of their own so kee that in mind. The tour guides are attentive and make sure you understand what is needed to guide your horse and have a good time. I always come here when going trail riding with my local friends or people from out of town. read more

Hands down one of the best experiences of my life!!! I think back on it fondly and will never forget it :') (my profile picture isn't from here but obvi I'm a horse gal now lmao) The trails are out of this world! A huge slice of paradise right there in front of you. Definitely get the tour with The Cajun Cowboy! He'll make your experience unforgettable. It was my first time riding a horse and I was nervous but they gave me a sweet gentle horse, Sweet Pea, and the ride was amazing!!!! A milllllllllion times worth the drive from Nashville!!!!!!! Great for groups, def pick here if you're looking to ride horses! I think about coming back from the opposite coast just to experience it again :') read more

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Natchez Trace Stables! My boyfriend and I did the 2-hour group trail ride, and it was truly unforgettable. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish--peaceful, beautiful, and exactly what you hope for on a trail ride. Our guides, Brandy and Dustin, were fantastic--friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe while still having fun. The horses were all well cared for, well behaved, and perfectly matched to the riders. I rode Rose, who was a little feisty in the best way--and I absolutely loved her personality! She made the ride even more fun and memorable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Natchez Trace Stables to anyone looking for an amazing trail ride! read more

We did a private ride with Austin yesterday. The scenery on trails is the most beautiful I've ever seen. We saw bald eagles and other wildlife. Did a few easy river crossings. So so beautiful and serene. The horses are very high quality horses. They'll run, if you want to. We've ridden here before, but this was the first time we've done a private rather than a group ride. It's double the price, but still pretty reasonable. Highly recommend!! read more

My two sisters were visiting from Southern California, and I decided to take them horseback riding while they were here. I called in advance to inquire about costs, timing, and general information, and they were very informative and helpful, and I was able to book two weeks in advance. I booked a reservation for the 10 am ride, and our tour guide was Courtney. I was right behind the tour guide, and I was able to ask her a variety of questions about the stables and horse maintenance; she was super knowledgeable and fun! The place and ride were beautiful. I definitely recommend sunscreen if you have a day ride, and bring some water, because it does get super hot. I loved my horse, Sugar, who was super experienced and sweet (obviously), and I felt comfortable with having little riding experience, as the guides gave directions as they helped me mount. The only downside was the directions to the stables. I was instructed to use the directions on the website ONLY, but these directions didn't offer estimations of even a general idea for timing, and even after leaving an hour and a half in advance, I was still late due to getting lost with the directions provided. For future reference, the GPS app WAZE led me exactly where I needed to go once I found the address, and I would have used that in the first place if I wasn't following the stable's recommendation. It was a little frustrating because I was anxious and stressed all morning, thinking I was going to miss the opportunity and the timing, because I had no idea how far of a drive it was. I'm really glad it all worked out, but a recommendation is to maybe provide an estimation of time to get to the stables from a central location (i.e, from the Capitol Building in Nashville, it's (blank) time; from Cool Springs mall, it's (blank) estimation). My sisters and I had a great time, and I'll be coming back again! I even considered inquiring about whether they offer any graduation photo packages, as I graduate this fall. Overall, we had a great time! read more

I scheduled to come here to celebrate my friends birthday since she had never gone horseback riding. I must say the ladies and gentlemen here made this experience worthwhile. My friend was definitely a little nervous once she got on and contemplated on not doing it, but after much reassurance and motivation, she did it! I rode Paco, he was an outstanding horse. I was informed he was a rescue, but he listened well and made me feel at ease while riding him. My friends rode Tanner and Bandit. Tanner was a little slow and stubborn at times on the trail, but a great lead horse. Bandit was a great horse as well. Every horse here are well trained to accommodate your experienced and inexperienced riders. Due to our late arrival, we had a guide to stay back and ensure we got going to catch up with the rest of the group. Brooke was amazing. She has been helping here for 4 1/2 years and she's very knowledgeable of horses in general and the operation of Natchez Stables. There was a gentleman here by the name of Derek I believe who was so sweet and kind. He stood with my horse and I as we waited for my friends to mount on. If you're in the area or traveling to Nashville and want to enjoy a therapeutic ride, this is your place. It is about an hour from Nashville, so I suggest leaving early in case you get turned around. The directions on the website are the most accurate to follow. It'll save you some time from getting turned around. It's $60 per rider for 2 hours. Pretty fair pricing. We said we were going to make this a monthly event now. It's a great for mental clarity and peace! read more

My family and I were visiting Nashville and wanted to go horseback riding nearby! I found the Natchez Trace Stables and was absolutely blown away by how special this place was! The farm was charming with the most adorable decor! They had the friendliest farm animals that we could pet which of course made me so happy! Our guide, Austin, took us on a private tour throughout the gently rolling hills of Tennessee during the fall which was absolutely spectacular! He brought us to beautiful creekside locations for stunning photo ops while sharing information about the local flora and fauna found there! He was the absolute best, and I will most definitely be requesting him the next time I am in Nashville! Thank you for the best horseback riding experience of my life, Austin! read more

Overall memorable experience here at Natchez Trace Stables. We went on a group tour, plenty of beginners in tow, and the tour guides were wonderfully patient and knowledgeable. The horses here are well taken care of and their personalities are fun to get to know. You can tell the guides deeply care for the horses because they strategically place riders on the horse best suited for their experience and comfort level. The landscape is stunning, truly beautiful natural surroundings including a creek bed and rolling hills and meadows. Amazing to get to pick up speed too, this is not always offered at other stables. Highly recommend you get Cam to guide you around. read more

Every birthday I let the birthday kid pick something fun they would like to do just me and the birthday kid so we get that one-on-one time! Rae picked a trail ride thru the springs. I searched high and low for this place that goes thru the water! I'm so glad we pick Natchez Trace Stables! The trail guide Kaitlynn was amazing ! Took us for a 2hr ride and we even got to lope across the long stretch of pasture. Not many places do that anymore! Just not a boring trail ride! Highly recommend them! Thanks for Nell for volunteering on our trip she was great too! All the people there were very welcoming ! read more

It was so peaceful and we were able to go at the pace we wanted to. Our reservation was at 11:00 am and we showed up around 10:35. We were on our horses and riding by 10:45, everything was ready to go. Our ride lasted about 2 hours. Such sweet horses. Our guide was great too!
