We did a private ride with Austin yesterday. The scenery on trails is the most beautiful I've ever seen. We saw bald eagles and other wildlife. Did a few easy river crossings. So so beautiful and serene. The horses are very high quality horses. They'll run, if you want to. We've ridden here before, but this was the first time we've done a private rather than a group ride. I have been to these stables for trail rides for a couple of years and have always enjoyed them. No matter time of year (dress appropriately of course) it is beautiful and you get to see so much of the gorgeous nature in Tennessee. The horses are all gentle and well trained, but they are animals with minds of their own so kee that in mind. The tour guides are attentive and make sure you understand what is needed to guide your horse and have a good time. My two sisters were visiting from Southern California, and I decided to take them horseback riding while they were here. I called in advance to inquire about costs, timing, and general information, and they were very informative and helpful, and I was able to book two weeks in advance. I booked a reservation for the 10 am ride, and our tour guide was Courtney. I was right behind the tour guide, and I was able to ask her a variety of questions about the stables and horse maintenance; she was super knowledgeable and fun! The place and ride were beautiful. I definitely recommend sunscreen if you have a day ride, and bring some water, because it does get super hot. I loved my horse, Sugar, who was super experienced and sweet (obviously), and I felt comfortable with having little riding experience, as the guides gave directions as they helped me mount. The only downside was the directions to the stables. I was instructed to use the directions on the website ONLY, but these directions didn't offer estimations of even a general idea for timing, and even after leaving an hour and a half in advance, I was still late due to getting lost with the directions provided. For future reference, the GPS app WAZE led me exactly where I needed to go once I found the address, and I would have used that in the first place if I wasn't following the stable's recommendation. It was a little frustrating because I was anxious and stressed all morning, thinking I was going to miss the opportunity and the timing, because I had no idea how far of a drive it was. I'm really glad it all worked out, but a recommendation is to maybe provide an estimation of time to get to the stables from a central location (i.e, from the Capitol Building in Nashville, it's (blank) time; from Cool Springs mall, it's (blank) estimation). My sisters and I had a great time, and I'll be coming back again! I even considered inquiring about whether they offer any graduation photo packages, as I graduate this fall. I scheduled to come here to celebrate my friends birthday since she had never gone horseback riding. I must say the ladies and gentlemen here made this experience worthwhile. My friend was definitely a little nervous once she got on and contemplated on not doing it, but after much reassurance and motivation, she did it! I rode Paco, he was an outstanding horse. I was informed he was a rescue, but he listened well and made me feel at ease while riding him. My friends rode Tanner and Bandit. Tanner was a little slow and stubborn at times on the trail, but a great lead horse. Bandit was a great horse as well. Every horse here are well trained to accommodate your experienced and inexperienced riders. Due to our late arrival, we had a guide to stay back and ensure we got going to catch up with the rest of the group. Brooke was amazing. She has been helping here for 4 1/2 years and she's very knowledgeable of horses in general and the operation of Natchez Stables. There was a gentleman here by the name of Derek I believe who was so sweet and kind. He stood with my horse and I as we waited for my friends to mount on. If you're in the area or traveling to Nashville and want to enjoy a therapeutic ride, this is your place. It is about an hour from Nashville, so I suggest leaving early in case you get turned around. The directions on the website are the most accurate to follow. It'll save you some time from getting turned around. It's $60 per rider for 2 hours. Pretty fair pricing. We said we were going to make this a monthly event now. It's a great for mental clarity and peace! read more

The farm was charming with the most adorable decor! They had the friendliest farm animals that we could pet which of course made me so happy! Our guide, Austin, took us on a private tour throughout the gently rolling hills of Tennessee during the fall which was absolutely spectacular! He brought us to beautiful creekside locations for stunning photo ops while sharing information about the local flora and fauna found there! The horses here are well taken care of and their personalities are fun to get to know. You can tell the guides deeply care for the horses because they strategically place riders on the horse best suited for their experience and comfort level. It was so peaceful and we were able to go at the pace we wanted to. Our reservation was at 11:00 am and we showed up around 10:35. We were on our horses and riding by 10:45, everything was ready to go. Our ride lasted about 2 hours. Such sweet horses. Our guide was great too! My favorite part was being able to go through the river and riding through all the different parts of terrain. Definitely will be visiting again! read more

Honestly, I can't even explain how pleased we were with our experience here. My boyfriend and I came here and we were just amazed with everything that we got out of it. First of all, they have more than horses!!!! They have a miniature donkey, multiple adorable and playful dogs, alpacas, a baby cow (my favorite), goats, pigs, and donkeys, and all the animals are incredibly sweet and social. I almost petted them all and like keep in mind this is not an experience you get at the zoo for example, these are amazing animals that are loved and greatly taken care of and it shows, so they are approachable and sweet. I would recommend getting there an hour earlier just to see the rest of the animals! As for our ride, we had the best guide! His name was Josh (attached a pic so y'all know who and in case I got his name wrong bc I suck at names so I'm never sure), he was very helpful and kind! This experience can be challenging and even scary for some people so having a caring guide is awesome! The trail is breathtaking I mean it's beautiful, peaceful, and you feel so in contact with nature. The horses are super calm, I saw this one person's review who said that the horses didn't have a personality??? Well I had bandit, and bandit had a personality just like the other horses, so idk what the other person was taking about Also price is great, $50 for 2 hours are you kidding me? With the view and all that you get out of it it's amazing! I highly recommend this place, if it's a drive for you, make the drive, you won't regret it. P.s. we were in a very small group due to weather, we had 6 people in our group and I heard it can get to 20+ people during season, so my experience might be a bit different from other people's, but I mean you will still get the view, the experience, and the great animals, do it! read more

Moved to Nashville about 6 months ago and finally decided to try horseback riding with friends. Called to make reservations and the person couldn't have been nicer. Have instruction on how to find the stables and routes to avoid. Once there it was overall a great experience. I rode Woody who was oh so sweet! The grounds were beautiful and the staff was fantastic and friendly. So many dogs running around I wanted to just play with them instead of the horses. I'd say my only slight negative aspect is the wait period while getting everyone ready to ride. I and my friends were the first ones put on horses so we were sitting on the horses for a long time before were did anything or went anywhere. As horses are animals, they started to get restless and were moving around quite a bit, knocking into each other and getting aggravated which made us nervous as there were no helmets and we didn't know what these giant animals would do when aggravated. It would have been nice if they had one member of staff or who lives at the stables waiting with us for the 30 minutes to help ease the horses and keep things smooth. They know the horses so well and we hadn't been on one in 20+ years and can only do so much. Overall, wonderful experience. Thank you! read more
