A little hidden gem! A high quality wine bar in the cuts of Berkeley?! Who would have thunk it?! This place is absolutely adorable! I came here two days before Christmas last year and practically had the entire place all to myself. The ambience is literally amazing! I was instantly attracted to their glowing bar and wine cellar. I'm kind of a nerd when it comes to wine. Whenever I go anywhere that has a wine list or a wine cellar, I usually study it pretty closely. For all of my fellow wine nerds out there, this place is like a mini heaven. For the size of this spot, their wine selection is pretty damn stellar. They've got French Champagne, Magnum reds, dessert wines, big name varietals, and even some international wines in there too. I had just come back from a a trip to Canada and tried Canadian ice wine for the first time. Then lo and behold; they had one of the exact ice wines that I had tried right on the shelf. Incredible! I mean, what Bay Area wine bar is carrying this type of wine? I was shocked. Aside from their extensive wine bottle collection, they also have a fabulous wine by the glass menu. My super sweet sommelier Nubia suggested that I try their Beaujolais and Barbera red wines based off my palate. Both were scrumptious and definitely right up my alley when it comes to reds. She was so knowledgeable and it was fun to pick her brain a little bit. I sat by the window which had a nice street view, but they also have some comfy seats near their fireplace. They have a small bites menu for light snacks and caviar, cheese, and charcuterie plates for something a little heavier. I nibbled on some olives while I was there. They have weekly happy hour specials which I have yet to partake in, but it's nice to know that they cater to the happy hour crowd as well. I really enjoyed my experience at Wine So Cru and I'm excited to explore more of their wines.

We moved from white to red as the night progressed, I enjoyed this one.

Lovely business. Great place to hang out with friends after work and share some really good wine. This woman owned business is fantastic. Cozy places to hang out and have a drink. They also have charcuterie, olives and nuts. The owner makes excellent recommendations. Also by the glass happy hour from 4:30-6:00.

Met up with friends after work for their happy hour ($2 off wines by the glass). The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They checked in on us regularly, and made an extra effort to ensure we had all we needed before happy hour ended! Convenient location right off 580 with plenty of street parking available.

The ambiance in this place was exceptional. Will definitely be coming again. The waitress was very knowledgeable and kind. They also continuously checked on us to make sure we were ok. Also had a great selection of wines. The caviar was fresh and delicious too. I can't wait to come back!

    Welcome drinks! These were DELICIOUS!

Went here after a boozy brunch with some friends a few months ago. We were greeted with hand sanitizer and a phone sanitizer station, which was pretty cool. We were provided a wine cocktail as a welcome drink, which was SO GOOD! Then we each tried the sparkling wine flight. We had a great time and felt very fancy doing it. Will definitely be back!

First, these are the nicest people in the wine business. Warm and gracious and extremely knowledgable about the wine and vineyards. When we first qwnt to Noria, it was mostly superb Pinots and Chardonnay. Since, they've added a wonderful Gewürztraminer and a bomb Sauvignon Blanc as well. These are finely crafted wines from some of the best vineyards in Sonoma and beyond (no, they don't have rows of vines in Berkeley) and the bang for the buck is off the charts. I'm mostly a red drinker and only enjoy Pinots occasionally and Noria was my go-to. The addition of more white wines (and rosé) combined with my move to a warmer climate have made Noria indespensible for me. Absolutely check them out. Do yourself a favor and start at Noria, go across the street to Broc Cellars and then Donkey and Goat for a perfect wine tasting day right in Berkeley.

From its modest façade, you'd never guess the incredible wine that awaits within. Stepping inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that harmoniously blends Japanese elegance with classic winery charm. The selection of wines is nothing short of impressive, offering a diverse range that caters to both red and white wine lovers. Each wine I sampled showcased unique flavors and a refined balance that spoke volumes! The barrel room and outdoor seating area made the winery cozy and comfortable! Definitely will be returning to try out more of their wines

And what a nice surprise it was to have Roses on Adeline hitting the mark on all 3. We've been to Roses on Adeline twice now, once as a walk in and the second time with reservations. Endive, super sweet purple snap peas (which I've never seen before??? and now want to grow in my garden because they were like the best peas I've had in a while!!!), radishes, and some carrots. I've been a patron of Vintage for years, and what's not to like? The location is gorgeous (a former pumping plant thats been transformed into a cozy, intimate space with a garden out front that changes with the seasons). And the shop is nestled right in the heart of Berkeley's Gourmet District with Peets, Saul's Deli, Cheeseboard Coop and Pizza, Andronico's, and Chez Panisse as next door neighbors. Inside you will find wines by color, grape, and region. It's not an enormous collection, but a lot of thought and experience has gone into presenting customers with something new and surprising. If I can't find myself making an easy decision, the staff have always been patient and helpful in finding the right bottle for my needs. Vintage also offers several different wine clubs for people who like a monthly or bimonthly grab bag of adult grape juice (including the occasional bubbles!). This is the wine store I wish I had as a neighborhood shop. For now, it's a well deserved destination (along with Kermit Lynch Wine Shop) that has yet to disappoint. Give it a try!
