When we arrived in the parking lot it was empty and when we got out of the car a woman on the second floor walkway of the Inn asked us if we were there to check in to a room. When we told her we were there to visit the winery she said she did not think they were open. The OPEN sign was lit so we decided to check it out since we were there and we were really glad we did. We were greeted by a woman who was also working at the Motel desk and was very pleasant and came over immediately to serve us. We tried a couple of the wines which were good and settled on the Raspberry wine which was not sweet and actually a bit on the tart side. We paired this with a small meat and cheese charcuterie which was a generous portion and was delicious. The wine was fantastic as well. There is a room in the back of the building that overlooks the grounds but there is also a deck and gazebo that is a short walk down a sidewalk which is where we decided to drink our bottle of wine. The day was beautiful and there are trees for shade and the view overlooks the grounds which are peaceful. If you are lucky you will also see some horses to the side of the property. We are really glad we stopped here because the wine was good and the grounds are nice and quiet. We would recommend a stop here but do check your expectations at the entrance.

Happy hour is from 4-7pm, and there are always great drink specials. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun evening out, wine drinker or not!

We purchased food from the local food truck in the parking lot. Nothing special but a nice option when you're hungry. I was happy to see they had lots of fruit-based wines. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the ones I chose except for one. The others were too sweet and syrupy for my taste. The live music was really good and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio watching the alpacas. I'd come back to give this one another shot if just for the scenery alone.

If you can't tell from all of the photos in the reviews, the landscape is absolutely stunning. They also have alpacas on the property which are fun to watch. The main portion of the winery is in a renovated barn. The inside is just as stunning as the outside. I may be partial since yellow is my favorite color, but the outside of the bar is gorgeous as well! Our service was wonderful. The two women working the bar were friendly, very helpful, and quick. The wine is also delicious. I always recommend getting a wine flight so you can taste a variety. Yellow Butterfly does a great job with their fruit wines! Their only downfall is their food menu. They often have a food truck, but it's not always what you are typically looking to eat with wine (there was a bbq truck when we were there.) Aside from this, they have bags of pretzels and other small snack to purchase. We wished we could have had a charcuterie board or at least some cheese and crackers with our wine. All in all, the Yellow Butterfly is a must!
