Mac & Cheese

Highly recommend spending an afternoon or evening sitting at the bar at wine on high and enjoying a glass of the wine. It was a busy day but the service was great, and the wine was delicious. The margarita wasn't the best but it was wine bar so I understand. If you are hungry, the Mac and cheese is absolutely delicious!!! I will be back for it.

This wine location was alright. I am a monthly Cooper's Hawk wine member and you will get very different vibes between the two. I do not enjoy very much going to the Short North with all of the safety issues anymore, and as you know parking is never easy here as a young, single girl. It was very cute inside, although small and very loud. The wine event was fun, but probably will not be back much. I really enjoy a much more quieter environment. There was points throughout the night where customers were just absolutely screaming over each other and my throat hurt when I got home from yelling so much all night for my friends to hear me.

What a lovely spot! Have walked by this place dozens of times but didn't realize it was a full service bar that serves food from next door at Hubbard. Loved our stop in on a rainy Friday night. In addition to the retail shop, they have wine flights, full glass pours and cocktails. It is not the biggest selection of retail but they have some nice bottles that we've tried from the west coast. Really friendly service from the bartender who surprised me with her favorite dry red right now which was a cotes du rhone. It was so good that I had a couple more glasses and took a bottle home. It was a good value at $22 for the bottle. This was the stop before dinner so we didn't entrees but did get the olives and the fries... both were great choices and the perfect appetizer. The fries are so good... potato-ey yet crispy. I'll definitely be back. This is a great place to drink even in the day. The space is so open and airy and bright with the tall windows. They have a great happy hour (that we unfortunately missed by a few minutes) but on weekdays until 6 pm there are $6 house wine pours, $7 select cocktails, and $2 off food! Good deal! When I went there was also a local flower business set up right at the front door (Flower Day-ze). Hope she comes back... loved picking the flowers for her to arrange a bouquet while drinking wine. Great combo.

Super cute hidden gem in CBUS! We came here for their event with Penn & Beech for their "lights & flights" Collab! All the wine we tried was delicious and the 2 guys working were very friendly and held conversations with everyone at the bar! Will definitely come back here and grab a bottle of wine for at home!

Kind of disappointed tonight an hour prior to close and it was bottles only to go. Nice looking place friendly folks working there - well appointed decor but if your hours are listed as close at 11pm that's 11pm in my book.

Chic atmosphere and attentive staff! A nice wine selection (affordable to moderate bottles), as well as craft cocktails for non-wine drinkers! I hosted a birthday party in the loft space, which was clean, had a balanced mix of tables/chairs plus standing room, and allowed for personalized decor. The team assisting me in planning the event was very responsive and organized. Hubbard Grille catered, and the food was delicious - lots of options for appetizers and small bites. Wine of High feels much more sophisticated than most of the other bars on High Street. Looking forward to my next visit!

I love this place! Great location, service, food, and vibes! I feel like there aren't a ton of good wine bars in Columbus so definitely very happy w this one!

A wine bar in Columbus what a great idea. Tell you what this was the place to visit for us during the Arnold Classic, while all the bars were slammed this place was a nice break. A few pairings of wine with some wonderfully delicious chocolates, mmmmm, mmmmm yummy.

I stopped into Wine in High and met the sweetest guy Conner. Immediately when I walked in he noticed me and welcomed me into the store. He followed with asking if I was looking for anything in particular which I said no because it was my first time in. I was stopping by while waiting my family to finish up dinner across the street. He gave me a warm welcome as we chatted about wine, my visiting Ohio and some great options as I began looking at the beautiful bottles. I then noticed a bottle that had a white glass rose on the top and pink bubbly inside. The bottle itself intrigued me because it looked like a bottle of perfume. I asked if it was a good flavor, as I'm more of a dry wine girl. He said it was not dry but certainly sweeter. I looked around more but of course my heart was set in the Rose bottle. So that's what I went with as my birthday gift to myself. The store was filled with a variety of wine and champagne and I love the champagne wall inside. You can also sit at the bar and enjoy great conversations with Conner or watch a little TV while you enjoy your beverage.

Extremely stuffy and over rated. Wine flight of three glasses (probably 1 oz each) was $15.00. Complete bullshit.

Soooo much fun!!!…read more As my first year in Ohio, this was a great experience for me!! Not being familiar with any of the local wineries, this was a great way to introduce me to them and find out which ones I want to actually go visit. I LOVE wine... remember, you need several servings of fruit a day... grapes are a fruit... wine is made from grapes!!! Therefore, wine is good for you!!! As for the location at the North Market... what a great combination!! After tasting 20+ wines, one does need a bit of a snack to go with all those grapes... Can't wait to go again next year!! I love wine and I love the North Market so this seemed like the best combo possible, right? Not so much. There was just now enough room between stands to stand, socialize, drink wine, and then move on. Had the event been held in the massive parking lot owned by the North Market, I easily would've given it 5 stars. Honestly the wine and merchants there were AWESOME but you just couldn't enjoy anything you were drinking unless you totally left the vendor areas between every single sample. Perks that totally made it worth going: 1) Great vendors-- I especially loved the Wisconsin hard cider booth. Bangin' sangria! And honestly you can never go wrong with Ohio wines! 2) There was a free photobooth sponsored by Crave 3) Entry came with a $5 coupon for the North Market...which basically gives you an excuse to get Jeni's ice cream. And any excuse to get Jeni's is a great excuse. All in all, yes if I was ever in Columbus the weekend of the wine fest, I'd go again. But the wine fest sponsored by Giant Eagle in Cleveland is much better.

Our first impression was that the location was good, parking was great, and seating was OK, but cramped. We were seated at a table for 6 and ended with with 2 couples that came together - very nice people. The service was good - keeping my drink full and clearing our places promptly after we finished each course. I knew ahead of time that drinks were a la carte - but I did not know that gratuity for the meal/presentation was separate. My husband and I agree that all should be included in the upfront cost so you don't feel nickel-and-dimed to death. The meal was fine. My husband hated the salad - but I as a more ecletic eater enjoyed it. It was mixed greens with sliced fruit and a light vinagrette dressing. We both liked the main course (stuffed pepper for me and chicken for him). Dessert was rated good by him and OK by me (where can you really go wrong with brownie and vanilla ice cream. A French Vanilla would have raised it to GREAT, but it was OK - good). The storyline was a bit difficult to follow - since audience members could not necessarily be heard in their acting parts and were sometimes confusing in what they said. It might have helped to either select better "actors" or to include more of the storyline in print in the binders. The length was about right. I wouldn't have wanted another "scene" or "act." I really liked the fact that you could get involved and participate as much or as little as you wanted. We chose to watch and not get up and ask questions or interrogate the principal players. The couples at our table milled about somewhat by the end of the play. The mystery was definitely solvable. I won't give the "who dunnit" away - but as soon as it was explained to us who did it and why, I rolled my eyes and smacked my head - I should have picked up on the clues. Would I go again? Yes - IF - we went with another 2 couples that we enjoy socializing with. I know we'd have a much better time and be more engaged. As to the liquor license - as a non-drinker, I'm happy that they don't serve alcoholic beverages. I do think that this type of entertainment is not family-friendly and would not appreciate having children in the audience. We did not have any kids in our seating and would not have thought that it would have been appropriate for a younger crowd.

For our visit, they were showing the silent version of The Phantom of the Opera with a live orchestra. This was our first visit to this theater so we got there early to look around. There is a convenient parking garage located directly behind the theater and if you remember to ask, they will validate your parking ticket for $2.00 (we did not remember to do this so we paid $11.50 for three hours!!). They were showing this film on Halloween night, which was also a Friday night, so the University District was hopping! It was fun to walk around and see all of the costumes and various parties going on before heading into see our movie. Since this was a special showing it cost us around $55.00 for our tickets, but we ordered them in advance and were able to pick the seats we wanted. They allowed everyone inside the theater 15 minutes early, so there was quite a long line waiting once we were near the theater door. We saw others carrying soda and popcorn, but couldn't figure out where the concessions stand was! We were barely able to figure out where to find the bathrooms, so we gave up on the popcorn once the door opened for the movie. Once the door was opened, we went in and found our seats. Very comfy seats!!! We sat in the fifth row, so the screen was higher than our seats, but oh so cozy. The show was fantastic, the live orchestra did a smashing job! Very enjoyable visit!!

The bar area is spacious and open anytime. The theater itself was on the smaller side but still plenty roomy, with very comfortable chairs.
