The wine tasting is the best bang for your buck you're gonna get. $20 for 5 pours? Sign me up! Bill does very fair pours, and he makes sure you know the story. Each bottle uses a different logo from their family history, and every picture has a unique story. It's always nice to hear how they pay tribute to their roots! Adds an extra depth fo the already flavorful wine! This is where I tried a Dry Muscat, and a Montepulciano for the first time. Have never even heard of these wines in my life! But now they're my favorites! Don't be afraid to ask them any questions, they're very knowledgable and eager to teach. I'd say I learned most of my current wine knowledge from this family!

While the weather itself obviously isn't the venue's fault, it didn't feel like they were fully prepared for rainy conditions. The family ended up providing the tents to keep guests covered during the ceremony, and without speakers it was very difficult to hear anything that was being said. There was a small covered area available for shelter, but it wasn't enough to accommodate all of the guests. Overall, it's a charming venue, but it may be worth reconsidering or planning carefully if booking during a rainy season.

My favorite was the loaded tater tots with their yummy chili. Next time the smash burger. Another customer ordered it and it looked amazing. The owners were very kind, warm and friendly. It was a summer picnic type of atmosphere. Upon checking in we received A glass of Sparkling Blanc de Rose' by Blanc de Bleu. The bubbles were so refreshing on a warm Bakersfield evening. We were served Two still French Rose's, Vin de Provence AIX from Provence and Cape Bleue Rose' by Jean Luv Colombo of France. Next was a Spanish white wine Abarino by Lagan D Cervera. Then going back to South of France to slip into something red with Syrah Grenache by Cote' Mas. We finished with a Red Blend of Monastrel, Cabernet Sauvignon & Syrah by Juan Gil. I don't drink wine so I know nothing. Then she also let me sample their sparkling almond wine, now that was absolutely delicious!!! I got a bottle to share with my mom and husband. We liked it so much that my mom went back and got a case . The outside of the winery is beautiful with views of the Bear Valley springs and Tehachapi mountains. The inside of the winery has a cabin feel, lots of tables to sit at and a bar. There is even an outside area to sit at and enjoy the view. I will definitely come back and do a more thorough tasting with my mom.

The owner Ilda Vaja is so passionate about it she calls it a very expensive hobby. And I can't imagine what it takes to plant, care for, produce and bottle the wine every year. She was the sole managing person here this particular Friday and man was it such a fun conversation we had. We learned a lot about Tehachapi and how she started it and it is just heart warming to hear the story. She's also the first one to plant and produce a very good Malbec. The tasting consisted of a rosé, Cabernet, Merlot and Malbec. She served this with cheese, crackers and local chocolates! The ranch also has AirBNB rooms so be sure to check out her website for availability. Women owned, local and full of love. You can taste that in the product. During this weekend trip, I also visited 2 other wineries but I can tell you hands down, this was an absolutely memorable stop. I highly recommend stopping by here if you're passing by. I promise you the wine is great, the views and the person behind this winery are phenomenal. We ended up taking home 5 wines. During the week make an appointment. But weekends you can just stop by.

We both enjoyed them. The winery was hosting a comedy show and dinner that night, they had only 2 empty tables and a few tickets left, so we snatched them up with a table. Awesome comedy show with 4 comedians including the owner of The Well comedy club in Bakersfield. I was able to meet the owner of the winery, Mike, who was so nice and accommodating. He has great staff who are ready to suggest wines, and serve you. This place is a hidden gem that does it all right there!
