I received a circular in the mail and seen the place I've been dying to get into was open. I told the hubs we were going and even brought the bestie and fellow drinker with us. I even downloaded the app and set up my account so I wouldn't have to fuss with it while I was in the store. I love how each aisle clearly is labeled so whatever you're looking for should be easy to find. They have everything in this place from cigars to mixers to chocolate for perfect wine pairings. I was so impressed with the little minis section. I have never seen so many available bottles and love that you can try a spirit you may not be too sure of before purchasing a big bottle. They also have a free wine chiller which I'd never even heard of! This was definitely my first trip of many as there are so many wines I still want to try and with the pricing set just right, everyone needs to give this place a go!

First Visit, Great Service, and a Blue Raspberry Surprise!…read more Our first visit to Grumpy's Brewing got off to an entertaining start. As we walked in, they were playing the new show Carrie. Our family had literally just started watching it the evening before, so imagine our excitement! Then I quickly realized they were already on episode 8. "Oh no! Cover your eyes, spoiler alert!" I exclaimed. Without missing a beat, the bartender switched the channel to a football game for us. Now THAT is customer service! My husband and I decided to try a flight, which included Tropic Thunder, a West Coast IPA; Rise of the Silverback, a stout; and two seltzers, P.O.G. and I See Blue, the blue raspberry flavor. They also had two slushie on the menu: S.O.L., a lemonade option, and a kid-friendly Bubble Gum flavor. If those aren't your thing, there's a variety of sodas to choose from, too. Plenty of options for different tastes. The Flight I See Blue: The unexpected star of the show! I'm not usually a seltzer person because I find them a little too light and watered down in flavor. This one, however, was delicious. Think a melted Otter Pop, which I absolutely love even as an Adult. Sweet, nostalgic, and just plain fun. P.O.G.: This one wasn't nearly as sweet as the blue raspberry, and honestly, its color made me think it should have been called the Great Purple People Eater! I regret not tasting this one first because the bold blue raspberry flavor completely overpowered it afterward. Next time, I'll be a little ore strategic with my tasting order. Tropic Thunder: I'm not typically an IPA fan, but I get plenty of exposure to them since they're my husband's favorite. This one was a pleasant surprise. It had a lovely bouquet of citrus flavors and a light feel on the palate. I would actually order this one on my own, which is saying something! We also learned that Grumpy's makes its own pizzas using an in-house pizze machine, with each pizza made to order. We didn't get a chance to try one this visit, but that's definitely on our list for next time. Between the variety of drinks, the nostalgic blue raspberry seltzer, and a bartender who saved us from t.v. spoilers, our first visit was a success! Grumpy's offers more than just beer, so even if you're not a big beer drinker, there are options worth exploring.
