One thing which is quite cool about this place is that it's surrounded by independent shops to the front and a giant Wilko to the back meaning you can leave your car in one place and then just walk between the stores if you want to grab everything and cover all bases. As usual it specialises in Manx produce from local butchers and cheese makers - plus all the fruit and vege is from the local Robinsons who stock a great range. Beer selection is ok - go for Okells if you're looking for the good stuff!

This is the biggest branch on the island and very central - very popular with bikers in TT week too. I also like the fact that they stock one of the biggest range of local Okells beers on the island and have a lot more bottled selection than the pubs which is great. Not a bad place to shop at all!

Very popular in TT with it being just around the corner from the bus station

What was quite telling is that when we finally did find it, the restaurant was full and we had to book to come back an hour later for lunch. Nice option, combining comfort food with fresh, presumably local, ingredients. I started with broccoli stilton soup. The broccoli came through and it had a nice consistency though I could not really taste the stilton. For my main, I had chicken kiev. Large piece of chicken and the garlic butter definitely had enough garlic. Came with good fresh vegetables and nice chips. My son seemed to enjoy the chocolate cake. While the service wasn't fast, it was very pleasant. We plan on going again.

It is not a very big place, just one room with a few tables and 3 small tables outside on a small walkway. We went to this place twice during our stay on the Isle of Man and both times we had delicous tea with a gorgeous piece of cake. Everything here is homemade and you can taste it. The staff is really friendly and does everything to make you feel right at home and even has time for a little chat about the place and the food they prepare here.
