Only discovered the Terminus about 6 weeks ago despite working less than a mile away and have…read morealready been back three times. Typical but good pub food with a great breadth of options. Really like the American style starters, particularly the mozzarella fried cheese sticks, which are plentiful (though I would prefer a pasta sauce to the sweet chili sauce it comes with). Also like the grill options, both the lamb chops and the gammon steak (which they serve with both pineapple and a fried egg, so you don't have to choose). The chips that come with it are nice and crispy, to my liking. You may also want to try the Santa Sandwich if it is still on the menu (served only around Christmas), which is effectively Christmas dinner in a baguette. Turkey, stuffing, bacon wrapped sausage in a baguette with gravy, cranberry sauce and nice crispy roast potatoes on the side. Very carb-heavy but an interesting option you need to try once. Overall, been happy with everything I have had. Make sure

Came here for lunch. Its an ok typical pub in the isle of man. Located at the far end of the…read morepromenade so be ready to walk, take the horse tram or drive. Good selection of beers. Food was pretty average. The large fish was absolutely massive and pretty tasty. Shame that the mushy peas were bland (salt please?) and they only give you that metallic tasting tartar sauce out of packets. Why can't they make a quick and easy homemade tartar sauce? Tried my friends curry and again was completely under seasoned and basically tasted of nothing more than bland tomatoes. My friends other friends had steak pie. Which they seemed to enjoy but it looked average to me. Its a nice spot to visit for beers. The service is good and its a great spot for a nice walk afterwards. The food is ok and is simply average pub grub. (albeit under seasoned.)

Ok, so we may have gone at the wrong time of day to see the beautiful scenery. Let's just say it…read morewas super dark and we couldn't tell where we were driving and sort of thought we were driving towards a cliff that we would soon plummet off in the dark. Not kidding. BUT behold the end of the road the glowing lights of Wasdale Head! It was very busy in the restaurant so we first sat at the bar (the only 2 stools) and chatted with the staff. Everyone was sooo nice to us and I loved it. After a few pints we decided to get some food. You order at the counter and they bring your meals to the table. We picked the seat by the fire and I enjoyed the chickpea chili and of course the onion rings and loved the spice and warmth during the cold night. I would LOVE to return during the day because I heard the view was amazing so I will just have to make a trip back.

I loved the unusual design of big wooden booths, it helps stop a lot of disorganised chair moving too. We were obviously starving and watched in quiet agony as half the table's food arrived and was consumed before ours did. This was Bank Holiday Sunday though, so it was mega busy. When the food did come it was enormous and I couldn't finish it. I have never seen so much scampi and giant pieces too! Excellent. Fish and chips was also very well received, I thought the fish seemed like good quality. Meanwhile there was an ale on tap which both bartender & bf said was really excellent. I enjoyed a very tasty Virgin Mary, it's not often you get someone spicing it perfectly. For somewhere that could be lazy as it's the only game in town, Ritson's is especially impressive in its commitment to decent food and ale. Well worth a visit after your walk. Also btw if you are contemplating climbing down the scree as a shortcut to above-mentioned pub bear in mind it will be one of the most gruelling and exhilarating hours of your life, and you stand a reasonable chance of serious injury.
