This is a pub for bikers, lovers of rock music and generally those who like a good night out but will not be dressing up. The staff are great though and there is a good atmosphere and it it the type of place you will certainly meet a lot of local characters. I like it for the odd pint and they are know for doing real ales. They do lunch which is cheap and cheerful but by no means gourmet. one thing to watch is that the men's toilet has a shall we say unique smell to it. It's advisable to get in and out quickly whilst holding your breath! Still, it is a unique pub, with great bar staff and you can see the appeal of going there for a few beers. Around TT time ( see http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isle_of_Man_TT ) it gets very busy and you will often find many german, English and Americans happily drinking beer and discussing bikes and racing.
P.s. If you try and play pop music on the jukebox, it's will probably be turned off and on so unless you like rock or non pop music save your pennies for the Puggy. (a British slot machine often found in pubs) read more
