I am there practically every day as they have declined quite a bit. My dad is 88 and my mom 84 both with health issues. Four days after my dad passed away in 2023, they helped my mom be completely moved back to an independent living apartment. MY PARENTS WERE MARRIED 70 YEARS AND NEVER HAD TO SPEND ONE DAY APART AT WINDSOR PARK. When my dad transferred to Johnson Center skilled nursing after a hospitalization, my mom could walk there from their apartment, under the same roof. Since my dad has been gone, my mom is still participating in activities with friends she has had since 2018. Socialization and continuity have been key for her well-being. She is moving through the grieving process and building a new way of life as a widow amongst her peers, many of whom have had similar life experiences. This beautiful place has been a blessing to our family.

In addition, we had a Dr call with regards to moms medication, and when we called back, they said there was no one there with that name! If you want to be treated like dog shit, use this place. I live next to their property and our association board meetings are held at Belmont Village. So I see a lot between having them as neighbors and being inside their facility on a regular basis. When you walk in the front door you enter a large lobby with a large grand and player piano in it. You are greeted by a full time staff person located at the front entrance. The staff is professional and very friendly. The restaurant is located at the rear of the lobby. It is very eloquent and serves up great looking meals. The residents always look happy and well cared for. The grounds and facility are well maintained and the interior is immaculate. Outside there are flower gardens, gazebo and a walking path. My mother was cared for in a facility like this for many years so I know what to compare to. This one is above the rest in my opinion. If the need every arose in the future for myself, I would be excited to live there as well.

The staff (cnas) care 100% and I wish their management saw their value. They are the heart of this facility. However decisions made at the office level are short sided. Overall activities went down over the year we were there. Staff turnover was higher. Communication with staff was non existent putting it on my mother to instruct their staff what they could or couldn't do. (Putting undo stress on her.) What they put my mom and me through at the end was awful. Again not the CNAs but the office. They evicted us with one month notice. I had to come daily to get my mother up and ready for the day. The CNAs were told not to and also were not even informed of our notice.

We were struck immediately by how Franciscan Court had what can only be described as a warm/family feel to it. It was evident that the people living there were happy and very well taken care of. From the time our mother moved in until she passed away last month she received excellent and loving care from everyone who worked there. All of our interactions with the staff was a positive one and it was evident that our mother was receiving the kind of care we had always hoped for her to have. I would strongly encourage anyone who is looking for a place where they can rest assured that their loved one is receiving quality care in a safe and positive environment to consider Franciscan Court.

That level of personal attention has made a difference in her comfort and happiness. Sunrise is clean and welcoming without feeling clinical. You are always greeted with a smile. It's reassuring to know that my mother is actively engaged. The meals are well-prepared and diverse. It feels much more like a restaurant experience than a cafeteria. We've seen an improvement in my mother's overall well-being since she moved in. She's more active, and social. I would recommend this retirement community to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine care.

If your loved one has dementia please consider somewhere else that specializes in memory care.

Volunteers can sign up for as much as they want to do, or opt out for that month; the online portal makes signing up very simplistic nowadays. The staff and fellow volunteers are very friendly and range in age from teenagers to retired adults.
