Deceptive pricing. I will never go back…read more Over the years I have stopped in occasionally at Valli Produce. There has always been an unusual odor. I never have identified why, but most grocery stores don't stink like this one. Today I stopped in to get a few days groceries. As usual, I pick several extra items because of SALE tags. My wife and I both have the old Valli Produce card from years ago, so I type in my phone number on the keypad and confirm with cashier that it was accepted. She tells me that I would "ONLY GET THE SALE PRICES IF I HAVE THE APP!" I mentioned the sale price is the only reason I selected many items. She asked her manager if she could help by scanning her own app and the manager said they no longer do that for customers. Today this grocery store went from might stop at to never will again. There are plenty of more honest stores nearby.

I ordered them with pink frosting. When we got the cupcakes we were surprised by how jarring the pink was. Almost red in color. Unfortunately, the frosting had WAY too much food coloring in it. It was pretty embarrassing and we had a lot leftover because people were tossing them after a bite or two. I spent $40 on these cupcakes (I purchased the Minnie toppers somewhere else), and everyone was talking about them being the worst cupcake they ever had. They could definitely have made the frosting a lighter pink. Some people even thought the frosting was red. It was just total overkill on food coloring. Then they talked in Spanish like we didn't know what they were saying. Never going there again. Please send her back to customer service training. No one should ever speak like that to customers.
