We had gone to another shop and when we came to this store we were immediately impressed with their tie and tuxedo selection. We were able to try on tuxes and find the styles that we wanted. Ed was able to spend a lot of time with us. We chose the style we wanted and decided on having each of our groomsmen wear a different tie color. The only difficulty came when our groomsmen waited until the last minute to get measured for their tuxedos, but blame should go to our wedding party and not the shop. My sister wanted to be dressed like everyone else in the wedding in a tuxedo and they were able fulfill her request without any issues. Most people cannot say that they have a two year relationship with their tuxedo rental company but that's what happened to us. We first went into their store in early March 2020. After the pandemic hit we were forced to delay our wedding twice. Ed and everyone at Gentlemen's Quarters Formalwear were easy to work and communicate with. Phones, voicemails, and emails were answered timely. Both times we had to postpone our wedding, our arrangements and deposits were honored and shifted to our new date. Everything turned out the way we originally wanted. I highly recommend Gentlemen's Quarters Formalwear for weddings, proms, or any other important event.

My husband said the process was much smoother than Men's Wearhouse, and it worked especially well for our out-of-town groomsmen. My husband looked absolutely dashing on the wedding day.

Bottom Line: Joe Bank (or at least it's now corporate ownership) seems to have made a real effort…read moreto turn things around from the wreckage of COVID and multiple acquisitions--at least at this location and maybe that has to do with the manager. I used to shop Joe Bank's haberdashery a lot pre-COVID before COVID nearly destroyed the business; however, it looks like guys, at least some, are buying business and business casual wear again (cargo shorts just not cutting it). I stopped going for a long, long time. The merchandise had really gone down hill compared to former quality (See my review for the Deer Park store.) I was pleasantly surprised at the now value for the money as the product seems to have taken a step up. Sure some things are up there in price and sourcing is more concentrated off-shore but there was a nice range of price points from casual to Tux--and with plenty of accessories including shoes. I picked up a couple of great additions to the wardrobe at a nice value. So, for this location and this visit, four stars. If Joe keeps this up, I just might make it a regular stop again.

There was a great sale ($250) on a blue suit. It was a light blue and bright. I asked if it was the brightest blue they carried in-store or on-line and was told yes so I bought it. When I got home it was the same blue as a suit I bought on line last summer a shade below the brightest suit that I was looking to replace! Disappointing.

Richard's done it again…read more What a dynamo. Friendly, funny without being any kind of show biz "on," he's just a born stylist and retailer. I'm not really a, "shopper," I am more of a, "buyer;" but Richard had my 15 year-old and I in and out in less than :20-mins. with exactly what the kid needs for this upcoming dance-- and the price was right for a lightweight all-wool silk-lined Italian suit. We would've spent 50% more at Men's Wearhouse and between twice and 150% more at Brooks Brothers or J.Crew. The place was packed as usual--just chock-full of cool stuff. Another great experience. Just happened to notice the fantastic deco design of his window logo. Gracias, Ricardo.

My fiance came looking for maybe a tie or pocket square to match my dark purple wedding dress, but also wanted to check out the Oxfords and suits. He ended up leaving with a perfect vintage suit that will only need minimal tailoring, a pocket square, a tie, as well as a casual shirt, all for less than the cost of renting a suit somewhere. Plus, gotta love supporting a shop like this -- in business 11 years and clearly going strong; there were 5 or 6 people shopping in there at the same time! And Richard was hopping from one to the next effortlessly. In addition to clothes, there are other vintage finds such as paintings/photos, cocktail accoutrements, and matchbooks. Richard himself works most days but said Sundays he has an assistant so that he can check out estate sales himself. He obviously takes pride in finding wonderful and unique pieces for his shop, and said that everything gets dry cleaned before selling (so it doesn't have the musty smell of some vintage shops). My fiance appreciated the thoughtful layout of the shop. It is obvious that we will be back to check out more fabulous finds!
