My friends and I sat on top of a small hill overlooking the farm for about 20 minutes and just enjoyed the fall colors, green fields, the brook and pond. It is a gorgeous farm. The two owners have advanced degrees in agriculture.

December 5th was the last Gardiner Art Walk for this year. It was a balmy 8° outside, the coldest…read morenight so far. But the smell of homemade meatballs lured me into the gallery! Yes. Meatballs. Alan Claude studio always has fabulous food for art walk night, tonight was meatballs and tiramisu. Delish!!!! I looked through the 8x10 prints to find some winter scenes to bring home. But did get a little overwhelmed by the amount people sharing the gallery and shop space and had to duck out. But! He always runs a really good sale for the 8x10s, where you can pick three for one set price. So I've made my list, I'm checking it twice and I'm sending my Santa back to pick them up. Nobody how busy the gallery is, Alan himself ALWAYS makes a point to greet every single person that steps in the door. He's also happy to take photos and sign art!

Great fair and fairgrounds in Pittston in July. Not the biggest fair in Maine, but one of the…read morenicest. It is referred to as the friendliest fair in Maine. Lots of rides, museums, strawberry activities for the kids, tons of fair food, games, activities and so much more. We watched the pig scramble on the first day as well as the oxen pull. Really fun. It was raining part of the day, but the pulling arena in covered, so no problem. I had a great fried dough and fresh French fries. Awesome. There could be more rides and food, but it is a small town fair. I have been to almost every fair in Maine sometime in my life and I love fairs.

We were warmly welcomed, and graciously thanked for attending. It was like going home to family, not a stiff cold theater at all! The inside has been extensively renovated and is BEAUTIFUL! When you purchase a drink at the bar, it comes in a reusable, lidded cup. Please save this!!! You save $1 on drinks the next time you come! I loved learning the history of this historic building. Can't wait to be back for another event.
