On March 13, 2021 we met with Alex Ball regarding a quote for new windows.  At that time we put $4564.00 on our Mastercard, and $3651.00 on GreenSky. With the remainder being charged on the Green Sky account upon 1) job completion 2) full inspection with customer 3)formal customer approval 100% satisfaction.. per contract language.  We were told that it was approximately 8 to 16 weeks per contract.  This was approximate not guaranteed.  We understood this and signed the contract. They came for the final measurement and we signed that contract also.  It stated that the grids were to be white inside and out.  We also have an email we sent to make sure it was in fact changed on all paperwork.  We also got a return email from Alex Ball stating that this was taken care of.  I even called and spoke with Ray Muldrew, who was the Sales Manager who also told me it was noted. (see attached email) To our surprise we got a call at the end of April from a scheduler stating he had great news for us and our windows were on the manifest and would be delivered in May to them and he set up installation for May 24, 2021.  He gave me all particulars regarding what we needed to have moved and all blinds and window coverings down and then said we would get a letter of completion after we were 100% satisfied.  It would be then that GreenSky would be charged the balance. We hadn't heard anything more so the Friday prior to May 24, 2021 we called to make sure they would be here on Monday.  The receptionist said she saw nothing on the schedule and took a message.  We later got a call back from Andrew Korecz stating he wasn't sure who had called us but in fact the windows were not done.  He stated that the hope was they would be in at the end of May.  So we looked at June and since we were going to be gone the week of the 13th, we tentatively scheduled it for the week of June 21. He gave me his direct phone number for any further questions. Upon returning from our vacation I called left him a message and he called back stating once again windows were not done. It was shortly after that I got the statement from GreenSky and on April 17, 2021 the balance due upon completion was charged to our account.  I called Andrew and he said he would look into it.  After I didn't hear back I called again and was told he was out on a family situation.  It was then that I spoke with Justin. He stated that since we had 12 month no interest or payments, he would just have GreenSky start the program on the day the windows were installed.  I called GreenSky, and they told us that that was not a possibility.  We called Justin back and demanded that he take care of this.  He said he would. It was also during this time that we looked at their reviews with the BBB and they had many complaints starting in April 2021. We also had an encounter with another customer who shared their experience with Window Select. His story was similar but his products had been installed with even more problems after installation. We contacted GreenSky regarding returning our money and opened a complaint.  Also Bryan called Window Select and asked some questions and the receptionist gladly shared that Climate Solutions was the company who manufactured the windows but starting July 1, 2021 they would no longer be using them.  But Northeast Building Products would be manufacturing their windows going forward. Bryan then called Climate Solutions and spoke with Aaron.  He was able to confirm that our windows were done and had been since 6/7/2021.  He also confirmed that they were sitting in the warehouse at Climate Solutions.  After a few conversations with Aaron he explained that we needed to first go back to Window Select and ask the questions.  He further stated that if we got no where he would get us in touch with his superior who could help us. We called Justin had another conversation and once again he said that the windows were not done and that their manufacturer was behind due to Covid.   So we reached out to Aaron and he referred us to Eric Shaughnessy, Director of Operations at Climate Control.  He concurred with Aaron that yes our windows were done and that they were sitting in their warehouse waiting for payment from Window Select.   He also stated that we were not the only ones who had called them, and our order for windows were one of many that were there waiting for payment. We asked him  if he could send us pictures of the windows.  He did send us three pictures. (see attached) My name, Lynne Scharpf is on the label and the date of 5/20/2021 is also labeled on it. We also noticed when looking at the pictures that the windows were incorrectly order and the grids were not white as discussed in previous emails and also on the final measure contract. After waiting months and months for someone to come install replacement windows and fix number other issues the team today opens the bay window, that costs thousands of dollars, to find that it WAS NEVER INSULATED, SCREWED IN, and installed the windows the wrong way. These were installed October 2020. We called several times about issues with freezing condensation to be told its because the windows are working. Clearly that wasn't true because the crew out today that took them down found MOLD. Not just a little amount here and there, the entire frame around each window. Called the office, Andrew could have cared less. And Justin as always is out of office so we can't speak to him. I can guarantee if this was in their house they'd want it taken care of also, with doing something more than just bleaching it. I have never purchased Window before so I was a little hesitant in the whole process and feeling like I would get ripped off. I got estimated from about 6 companies and Windows Select worked with me to get the price down to a level I was comfortable with. The Sales guy (Nick H) who came out was amazing and very courteous. The crew that came out did great work and the lead guy (Wish I could remember his name) informed me of the whole process along the way. He even brought up issues of where measurements were off and offered to resize the windows or just fill in the gaps (Which is the route we went). Whatever he is getting paid is not enough. They did an amazing job from start to finish and I have recommended them to everyone I know. read more

Stay away from this business. We did set up to order for 5 windows. We reconsidered and had till midnight the following thursday to get the form to them. They have right there n that for that we could return it to the Appleton store. My husband called them and told them that we were going to cancel. he asked if we could email the form. Was told yes. So he did then was told he had to bring it there And they were open till 4. So he went before work. They were conveniently closed. They had also charged our credit card In the meantime. He called again and was then told he had to bring it to Milwaukee. That's 2 hrs and the paper stated Appleton. Wow. Finally the boss left a message for my husband that it was cancelled and the clinker is they get to keep our money for 10 days and we get the interest charge on our card as a penalty. I'm actually nervous to place this review for fear of retribution from the owner, Justin Kiswardy, and the company itself. Justin had indicated in a phone call that having these complaints could hinder our "relationship" in the future if something should go awry with the windows. The short version is that it took almost a year to get the installation, we have incorrect sashes on 4 windows, we were promised things that weren't delivered, we were lied to & misled, threatened with collections, had days of missing work and ended up with two different loans and interest payments. The long version is below: On March 30, 2021, we signed a contract with WS. On April 15th, they did a final measurement of the windows and discovered that they would need to reduce the size of the windows by 1-2 inches. I didn't agree for two of the windows because they're already small. The employee doing the measurements wrote on the agreement that the order would be placed on hold. I didn't receive communication, so called a couple weeks later and was told by Ray, the Sales Manager, that I would be doing a disservice to the company because they'll now be out the funds since the original windows had already been ordered, regardless of the request to place them on hold. Unless I called the company myself, we received no communication from them. I left numerous messages and when called back, they told me "it would be another month" for the windows to be in. By August/September of 2021, I really started to get concerned and spoke with the owner. They had originally said that they would be installed by the end of July. He apologized, said he understood the concern and would send me Packer tickets for my trouble. I never received the tickets so I put a review on Google. That got the owner's attention so he called the next day and offered to reduce the window price by $600, only if I removed my review. So, I removed it. The window installation was not completed until February 2, 2022, almost a year later. The installers had to come twice, both times they showed up at times we didn't discuss and I had to miss work the last time. The wrong sashes were also installed, which we're just dealing with because of the trouble to try to get them switched, although they did take off about $250 from the price because of their error. After the installation was complete, we signed a completion certificate and heard nothing from the company until Ray called February 16th and said we needed to call the company back to avoid any collections on our order. What.The.Heck?!? When I called him back, he said he really didn't know what was happening with our purchase and just had a note on his desk to call us. We financed an initial amount with Greensky (whom the company worked with and offered) and the remaining balance was to be added to the Greensky loan when finished. Upon completion, we signed documents to have Greensky buy the balance. Justin called me 3/4/2022 and said they made a mistake, they don't work with Greensky anymore and we'd have to use a different financial, Service Finance, to buy the remainder or it would become a cash deal. We had until 3/9/2022 to get it done or the balance would be due. So now, we're paying two loans, two interest rates for a job that took almost 8 months longer than they promised. This company is not trustworthy, not kind, professional or worth the trouble. I have never wanted to back out of a deal with a company more than Window Select and I am sincerely concerned should something break on a window in the future. Stay far away from this company ! We ordered replacement windows July 2020. It has been a nightmare. To summarize it is now a year and a half later and all we are left with is damaged woodwork, the second patio door that was ordered wrong and we are unable to use due to the opening door wrongly placed. Sloppy installation. I feel they have significantly decreased the value of our home. The owner Justin just tries to sweet talk with promises never kept and phone calls not returned. I ordered 5 windows in September 2021 and was told installation would be in February 2022. I didn't receive a call the entire month of February. I was the one who finally placed a call the second week of March. I was told in the call that I may not get Windows now until July 2022. I asked if I could speak with a manager, and was told they might call me back in 3 to 5 business days. No way to run a business when I have to be the one to call and ask when windows will be installed. Also, customer service wasn't very friendly. Was suppose to get a door finally got the door wrong size after tearing apart my exesting door had to rig it back together and it leaked all last winter and this summer and kept on being promised it was coming in and they wanted to put a pretty wreath on the door for me, ha what a joke. Avoid Window Select. They are unprofessional, not on time, and generally incompetent. Here's a timeline. On 9/3/20, Window Select came to my house and showed me the type of upstairs bathroom window I would have installed to replace an existing one. I was told that due to Covid, their suppliers were backed up and it would take 8-12 weeks to get the window. Fast forward to February 2021, when Window Select cancels on two different install dates. I had to call them on both occasions to find out they were canceling. On 3/2/21 they finally installed the window, but with a badly bent frame on the screen. Don't worry, I was told. They would order a new one and it would be installed very soon. In May 2021, a young man came to install the screen. Except he didn't know he was installing a framed screen and not just replacing a torn screen material on an existing frame. He went back to the shop and returned with the wrong framed screen, something bigger than the entire window (I only have a screen on the bottom half), and he had no ladder. He then proceeded to interrogate me about who installed the window. How many people were involved in the install? What did they look like? I cut this line of questioning off, telling him his shop should surely have all that information. How was I to remember, and why should I have to? It is now 7/15/21, and I am still waiting for my damaged screen to be replaced. It is over 4 months since the window installation, and over 10 months since I ordered the window! They bribed me once to take down a bad review here. I took the money and did my part. But here I am many months later. A damaged screen was installed, and it has yet to be replaced. We met with Windows Select in September to replace 5 windows in the house. The windows were installed in mid-December 2020. We had them installed on a Friday and the two installers were unable to finish the job and told us they would come back on Saturday, yet they didn't show up on Saturday instead they came on Sunday without any notification. The installation: The first problem came when they showed up with the wrong window. We ordered a window with 2 double hungs instead of two individual windows. When we contacted Window's Select they conveniently told us that the individual who came out to measure the windows recommended two individual windows instead, which was news to us. No one bothered to inform us of that. In addition, the salesman told us that the rotted wood would be replaced upon installation. That did not happen either, the installers just wrapped right over the rotten wood, which we have on video. The owner of Window's Select offered to refund us $325 due to the miscommunication from the salesman and told us it was the salesman's commission he was refunding us. At that point we thought things were settled. Until we had that cold snap in January/February. Every single new window had condensation and frost on each window, not to mention that each room where a window was installed was 5 to 10 degrees colder than the rest of the house. The 50 year windows that were not replaced were 100% frost and condensation free. I took several pictures of each of the windows and sills with the frost and condensation and sent them to the owner, Justin via email. We emailed back and forth and I sent him several messages letting him know exactly when he would be able to get in touch with me (he never called within those times). He attempted to reach me twice and eventually stopped trying. I sent him a follow up email letting him know I'd be contacting the BBB and still no contact. His follow up to the better business bureau complaint was that the problem was not his windows but instead the amount of moisture we have in our house and told us to CALL HIM, instead of reaching out to us. If the problem was a moisture issue, all of our windows would have had issues. By the way, we purchased their top of the line windows with the gas inside for better insulation etc. We have 14 additional windows to replace and I will NEVER do business with this company again nor will I ever give them a recommendation. They have done NOTHING to resolve our issues and the $5,000 we spent was a complete waste of money and a disappointment. I would definitely look elsewhere for new windows. read more

Feel like we're living in a vacation home! Our hideously rotted 20-year old windows were replaced May 31, 2022 with 31 new windows and 2 patio doors. We did our homework and Window Select was our choice. Yes a wait like everything in this world these days so patience needed, but super impressed by "family" at Window Select! We are loving our windows that were installed in less than two days with crew working nonstop 12 hours first day; wrapped up exterior next morning! I ordered 4 new windows from this company July 23rd of 2021 and was told they would be installed before winter of 2021. My husband called 2 times and we were put off on install both times it is now June 8th 2022 when I called today to cancel the order due to them not fulfilling their end of the contract. I was told it would still cost me $1300 to cancel the order . I am beyond frustrated with this company, I am going to the BBB this is black mail. Hello, I want everyone to know that we have been waiting 11 months for our windows. We have been waiting and calling for windows. They told us we would have them installed multiple times over multiple months. Justin who is the owner finally got back to us and apologized for the inconvenience. He said his best installers (LES)were going to install my windows in February. He gave me actual install dates when they were coming. They never showed. I took off work for 2 times for scheduled times and had my mother in law come another time. He said his employees called in or blamed the weather. Once the weather changed to 50's he stopped responding to my text and phone calls!!! He has not responded in 3 weeks to any text messages or phone call. I called his front office and they said they don't know what I am talking about my windows haven't even been recieved to the warehouse. OMG. HE WAS LYING TO ME FOR MONTHS. Having me take of work. It's been over a year since we ordered our windows and paid our deposit. Still no windows. They will not refund us, stating they used the deposit money to purchase our windows. When we asked for proof that our deposit was used to purchase windows for our project, they sent a blank form. No payment date. No payment amounts. If anything, that proves they took our money and never ordered our windows at all. The company is now completely non-responsive. We have not heard from them in about over 4 months despite calling multiple times. I do not recommend using this company! I ordered windows for our entire home with the company back in June of 2021. We still have no windows and doubt that we ever will. I am out almost $6,000 since signing the contract. The company can not even write a check for $330 without it bouncing. This was a check written to me to cover a payment that I made, the check was retuned as NSF. At this point I am in the process of getting back every dollar I have spent, which I am not confident will happen. Very unfortunate that there are companies like this out there. Ordered windows May 11, 2021. Put down deposit. Financed the remaining total. Was told by Sales Rep, Windows will be installed in September. I called in Sept. Was told pushed back to Oct. Okay. Called in Oct. Pushed back until Nov 21. Bill was paid IN FULL!. Called in Nov. told Windows would be installed in February 2022. Called in Feb, was told at that time I was six on the list and windows should be in end of March. Received a call on 3/9/2022. Voice mail said Windows would be installed in May 2022. I was okay with the first few delays. Now I am upset. Called and ask to talk to General Manager - told another manager would call me back in 1-3 business days. Not acceptable Called three times on 3/10 demanding to talk to Ray (GM) flatly denied any communication with him. Was transferred to Stephanie Herbst - customer service manager. Really started complaining about the LACK of response and customer service. She said she would put my window order on Priority and I should have them in 5-7 weeks. She couldn't answer why "suddenly with my complaints" they were going to put my order on "priority" - I want a phone call from Ray, the GM I think my $10,000 plus gives me the right to talk to him. I want a credit for waiting this long for the windows. I get the supply chain delay, but NEVER has anyone really answered my questions. I have heard more customers say they are getting the same "story" from Windows Select. One customer told me to check BBB - I am sorry I every trusted this company. I wish I would have done more research. $10,000 may be a small drop in the bucket for this company - but it is a lot of money to me. I am tired of the lack of transparency and the run around excuses. I was told by Stephanie today that "upper management" decides the priority of sending the orders into the manufacturer. This was the worst experience with a home improvement contractor I've ever had. Stay away from this place. I went with them because the price was much lower than comparable vinyl windows. It was a disaster from the start. The sales person (no joke) hit my car leaving my house. Then during installation, the wood trim around my window openings was covered despite the fact that I was explicitly told there would be nothing changed about the trim. Since the color was wrong, the trim had to be re-wrapped. After months of back and forth, I finally selected a color only to have the installers show up with the wrong one. Even the installers (who are subcontracted) joked with me that they hate getting jobs from this place because they are so awful to work with. read more

We were informed upon purchase that I would probably take up to 8 months due to Covid. Starting in September, I did receive phone calls from the company stating our order was delayed. Then in October I got a call that the door was done and should be installed by the end of the month. Next phone a few weeks later I was told the door was not done and they are still waiting for a arrival date. January 2022, I got a phone call stating the manufacturer had completed the door and they were just waiting for the arrival. February 2022, another call saying the door hasn't arrived. Racine, WI DO NOT ORDER WINDOWS THROUGH WINDOW SELECT!!!!!! I waited until the job was finally completed before posting this. Didn't want retaliation. Signed agreement 2/26/21 Measurements 3/12/21 Install scheduled 5/6/21. Rescheduled 5/11/21. Manager reviews halted install 5/12/21 Service tech 5/19/21 for 2 locks & foldout Re-wrap/Re-install all 5/25/21 Re-measure 6/10/21 a window Replace remeasured window installed 11/10/21 The main installer (John I believe, white unmarked truck) is employed through Window Select but they can subcontract any additional helpers they want (which was his son). They do not need to follow a standard install and are allowed to install as they see fit. During the install, the workmanship didn't seem right so I posted pictures on FB. Thankfully friends reached out to me within minutes and pointed out how wrong the install was. I approached the main guy... I asked if he was completed with windows 1,2,3 etc and he said yes. I asked if he felt it was a good solid install, took him to a few windows and asked if he saw anything wrong with it, he said no. He said for me to point out what I thought was wrong and he would fix it. My response was if I needed to point it out, he shouldn't be doing it. So I wanted him to stop and call his Manager. The install Manager (Andrew) wanted me to allow this guy to fix his work, so he could learn from his mistakes... even though he was an installer who had been there for a long time. Manager told me that the installer would come back and fix it "once he calmed down" since he was upset that I asked him to stop and leave. Um no. I told the manager he needed to come and look at it in person as the pictures did not do it justice. He was shocked. Surprised the install was so bad, that the installer has never had any complaints. (Which was a lie cuz AFTER I signed up with this company, another person had the same issue but I didn't know about it yet). So. Another team had to come out and remove all the wrapping and redo it. We also had 1 window that wouldn't fold out and one window that wasn't measured right and wouldn't lock. So a service team and a remeasure team ALSO had to come back. We FINALLY just had the last window sash replaced (since it was measured wrong). Also, they kept referring me to speak to Andy (who no longer worked there). And since There was both and Andy and an Andrew that worked there, it wasn't clear who to call. The re-install team Rick and Socks were GREAT and should've been the ones installing to begin with. They seemed to be really busy re-doing and fixing a bunch of installs. I waited along time to get my new windows, I did research, I investigated the type of windows and install, a known company who doesn't use subcontractors (but they do in a sneaky way). I was so sad, angry, disappointed and disgusted with this experience. Please don't use them. Tell everyone you know not to use them. The companies structure of who you talk to for which part of install, measure, re-measure, new order, service, scheduling, replacement order etc etc was rediculous. The fact I had to ask for someone to update me each month so I knew my re-ordered window wasn't forgotten was rediculous. They just wanted me to wait in silence for over 6 months. Had someone come out in September, ordered windows and a patio door, was told I would get a call in December the week after Christmas for install first couple of weeks in January. Third week of January came and no phone call, nothing. I called and asked to talk to a manager and was told there isn't one to talk to. I was then told that the windows are back ordered and they won't be installed till March at the latest, May. Asked them to call for an update at the end of February. No call then so I called in the beginning of March and was told June/July. It is now the end of March and I called to say we are canceling our order and I want my money refunded. I was then told I need to talk to a manager and I have been told many time asking for one that there is one to talk to. Now that I want my money back and to cancel there's suddenly a manger available. I was also told that there will be penalties for canceling. This company is a scam and only wants to take your money and screw you over!!! Don't waste your time or money!!! Stay away and warn everyone you can! read more

I regret going with Window Select for my replacement windows. First of all it took a long time for my windows to come in and when they finally arrived the order was mislabeled so they had no idea where my windows were. During this entire process I had to continually reach out for status updates on my order. Communication was nonexistent on their part. On the day of installation some of the windows were missing so it couldn't all get done because the contractors had to go back to the warehouse to find the missing windows. Some of the screens have small holes in them, which I brought up to the individuals at Window Select, of course nothing has been done about it. I also had an alteration done to one of the windows in my kitchen which required the installation of siding to patch the exterior. I was guaranteed that this would be taken care of by Window Select. My window installation occurred in October and I am still waiting on the siding. Communication regarding the siding is completely one-sided with me asking about it and receiving no answer from Justin the owner of Window Select. I just want my small section of siding that was promised to me so that I don't have bare insulation hanging out on the side of my house. read more
