I am writing this review to hopefully keep others from making the same mistakes I did…read more Hiring Taylored To You Services, and it's owner, Darren Taylor, has got to be one of the worst decisions I have ever made. I paid a great deal to him and his company for services that were either never completed or were installed improperly...see photos. I now have had to hire other contractors to undo and redo or complete his unfinished work. That also means I am paying twice for the same services that I had already hired Mr. Taylor and company to do. Do yourself a huge favor and take a look at what the other 1 star reviewers have had to say about this contractor and his company...in my opinion...they are spot on in describing the work or actually...in my case...the lack thereof that he provides. Save yourself the echo of empty funds in your savings account and the frustration of ever seeing your hard earned money go usefully towards beautifying your home. We had a shower completely redone by Kim and it was cracked and failing nine months after it was completed. I got no response from the subcontractor who did the work. Our bathroom took over 9 months and it still was not finished so we changed contractors, which is why I contacted the sub. (Delays were not covid related - no one was showing up to finish the work!) I also contacted Kim with photos of the problem and told her I was having it repaired. I asked if her insurance could reimburse me for the thousands of dollars I wasted working with her. She said she would check my file. That was one month ago. Do not work with this person.

Ferris Blinds and Shutters installed sunblock shades on our screened porch with a western exposure…read more The shades were the perfect solution to block the sun from both our porch and family room in the late afternoon where the sun exposure made using our porch impossible and our family room unusable for a few hours each days in both summer and winter. Steve Ferris was such a pleasure to work with. He came to our home and measured for, ordered and installed the shades. The wait time between ordering and installation was very reasonable. After installation we were totally satisfied. Everything worked perfectly and looked fantastic. Fast forward a few years and the fabric covering the cassettes where the blinds were stored in the rolled up position started to peel (the fabric coverings started coming off a few of the shades). I looked up Steve's number and called him. He immediately arranged to come to my house and assess the problem. He called a few weeks later and said the Hunter Douglas would replace ALof the shades, not just the cassettes. This week Steve competed installation of all my new replacement shades for the entire porch at no charge. That is great customer service. He treated me like my replacement job was just as important as the original. We could not have been more satisfied.
