My husband looked on Angie's list for a window company, and this place called us. We didn't know they were coming for a consultation, so someone was sitting in my driveway when I pulled up. I asked if we could help them, the guy daid yeah we had an appointment scheduled at 9. (It was almost 10 when I got home.) Then he asked if we wanted to reschedule, but he had to call his company first. While he was talking to my husband, he said if we didnt want to do everything now, there was no point, and its a waste of his time to even come back to show us what they offer. Holy Crap! we had replacement windows installed January 2024. (very rushed and sloppy install job). Now, August 2025, there is a window frame leaking water around the glass. (not the first time this issue has happened) Called customer service and they want $150 to come out to look at problem. They won't schedule service rep to come out until you pay the fee. Lifetime warranty?! Think it over people BEFORE you sign up with these guys. read more

It started out where an inexperienced sales person came out to quote the project. It turns out after I put the order in, the salesperson added tempered glass to the order even though we talked about it and I said I didn't want it. I only found out that the windows were tempered is when the installers asked why I went with tempered, it wasn't needed. Still dealing with Hartford for some sort of refund for this. The Install was ok, however, they didn't clean the windows when done and there are still marks on the outside and the silicon glue drippings on the windows. There are gaps where the corners meet outside, which should be caulked. No one showed me how to take out the slider windows so I can clean them. Some of the flex screens do not fit properly. Some of the windows are hard to open and close when trying to clean the outside, was told this was normal. They sent out a person to fix the outside corners, but failed to bring a ladder for the second floor. He tried to fix it by hanging out the windows but said he couldn't do it. So I waited about a month and they were coming out again, I took the day off of work, they were a no show and when I called the central scheduling office was aware they needed to cancel, but they didn't call me to let me know ( wasted a personal day). Waiting about a month later and they did come out, but with no ladder and the guy said he was going to hang out the windows, the same windows he tried before and said he couldn't do it. I wouldn't let him in. I then waited about a month and half and they are coming out in a week or so, not sure if they will have a ladder or not. I have now wasted 3 personal days. They are only going to "fix" the windows that show a large gap, and I think they should fill all the corners. The installers didn't clean up the outside area, there was a ton of white shaving - ( looked like shredded cheese, Ha HA). The windows were installed in July 2024 and still waiting for the job to be completed and its April 2025. They do not return calls. The person I first dealt with regarding the uncharge on my account said that Window Nation would fix the issue and refund the difference and give me something for my troubles. This person had moved to a different position in the company and didn't let the new guy know nor, returned any of my calls, texts and emails regarding the issue. Still haven't been refunded or credited for my troubles. I did all my windows with them, 17 of them, and it was at least to me a very large investment and I wish I could turn back the clocks and go with another company for all the problems I am having. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They were awful!!! They dropped a slider door and still installed it with scratches, replaced my front door that wouldn't lock, replaced a fire door that wouldn't shut per NFPA code and the windows - a whole other story. They were too lazy to put drop clothes under the windows and got some solution all over my siding that won't come off. So they came to fix my siding months later and now I have sliding hanging off my house. - LITERALLY. You can't make this shit up! THEY SUCK!!!!! I'd give them a minus 1000! read more

First I want to note that the salesperson, Joe N, was great and I have no complaints about him. After the install, he made sure to call me to follow up and see how everything went and help expedite a response for an issue that needed to be fixed. As for the install itself, we decided to do our house in two sections so this was for the first 14 windows. The installers were quick and kept to themselves. The main person seemed to be on his cell phone anytime I looked outside but the other two were great. After they were done, I pointed out to screens that needed to be replaced due to one being bowed and one having a large hole in it. They made note, submitted the order, and I received an email shortly thereafter. When they left, I noticed a decent amount of scrap metal and wood around the outside of the house (metal may be wrong, but whatever they use to cap the outside sills). With two small children and a dog, this was troubling to see and we had to clean up the mess they made. We also noticed scratched up paint on the inside window seals that will need to be touched up. But the biggest issue is the kitchen window they replaced. There is a large gap along the top of the window beginning halfway through and getting larger until it hits the left edge. There is also some weird block in the middle of the window. When the tech came to fix the screens, they told me that they had never seen anything like that before and it shouldn't be there. Great. Needless to say, he had no idea how to fix that and one of the screens he brought to fix the one with the hole was the wrong size, so that still isn't fixed. So now about 6 weeks post install, I still have one window that needs a new screen and one window that was, presumably, installed incorrectly and the date I've been given is 1/4/24... Needless to say, we are not thrilled with this incredibly expensive purchase so far and I'm hoping that there isn't a larger issue with all of the windows because if one is installed incorrectly, what is to say the others aren't as well. I guess only time will tell. Update: We decided to not move forward with the rest of the project and instead are installing the remaining windows with another company. If only we'd known about them prior, we would have had a better experience with our windows and would have saved money! UPDATE: we found out that EVERY SINGLE window that was installed was not capped correctly and was not sealed properly. Now we have to wait AGAIN for a crew to come out and actually complete the install correctly. Hopefully there's no major water damage by the windows because of the improper installation. I wish that I had come here and read these reviews before I let a salesperson come to my house . The experience was terrible he came out to do a quote and proceeded to talk and talk for the longest period of time and made it pretty clear that he was not going to leave my house without getting a sale that is not a quote that is high pressure sales and it should be illegal. I signed a contract for two windows just to get them off of my with the intention of canceling the order . When I called the next day to cancel the order the represented up on the phone was very rude and I did mention that their pitch is way too long and then it's disrespectful of people's time . I had to call their head office in Wallingford Connecticut in order to get them to cancel my order and hopefully somebody will call me back within 48 hours because it took them no time to process a check . 2 hours to talk about Windows but 15 minutes to process a check appalling. I would rather have Jehovah's Witnesses come to my house then this company ever again . read more

3/26/23 Paul Cangialosi, sales agent, from Window Nation came out to our house to give us his spiel about windows and doors. Boy, is he a good salesman, as he had us eating out of the palm of his hand. He told us so many lies it makes my head spin that we believed him. His boss, Sales Manager, David Goldman, spun the lies as well. But, we agreed to have our windows and doors replaced. Front door, back slider, all 17 windows in our home. 4/10/23 William Zack (a/k/a Bill) came out to TAKE PICTURES and measure all windows and doors. 6/7/23 Windows and doors installed. Was told by Paul Cangialosi that the installers had OVER 10 years experience. They guys who came to install had 6 years experience. They arrived at 7:30am and were done by 12:30pm. As I inspected the windows and doors after they left, I found major problems. Gouges in at least 7 windows, silicone all over the windows, most windows don't close and open properly, different screws in most window - not matching and some were drywall screws, the front door didn't close properly and light could be seen when closed, the back slider is ugly, large lock that doesn't work, there is no foot lock as promised, again different screws on back slider. There are only 2 windows in my house now that have a 2 inch sill. All of our windows prior to the installation had a 2 inch sill around each and every window in my house. Now only 2 do and they are in the living room, where it is noticeable that they are different and installed incorrectly. Also, those 2 windows have cracks in all 4 sills surrounding the window. So, what did I do? I sent an email, which pictures, to Paul Cangialosi, who forwarded it off to the install department. 6/9/23 the Branch Manager, Mathew Quirk, came out to inspect the windows and doors. He admitted it was a "rush job" and "shotty" work. He said he would have someone come out and fix some issues. The guys who showed up cleaned the silicone off the windows, and added white (non-paintable) silicone to the cracks in the corners of the 2 windows with the 2 inch sills. As for the other issues, Mathew Quirk said he would send William Zack out on Monday to check them out. Mathew Quirk also said that a woman named Amy Fitzpatrick would be reaching out to us about getting us compensation back because of these issues. 6/12/23 William Zack came and adjusted several windows and said they needed to order other things for us. 6/22/23 Finally received a call from Amy Fitzpatrick and she asked me to send pictures of the problems. I did that and asked why only 2 windows in the entire house had a 2 inch sill when they all used to. 6/23/23 The response I received from William Zack was that the "front wall is 2x4 where the back was is a 2x6". That response is absolutely ridiculous as if that was the case, all the back windows would have been the same. SILENCE 7/10/23 After sending various emails, I called to speak to Amy Fitzpatrick. She told me William Quirk said he would give us a measly amount for our troubles. I responded that I was looking for more and once again silence. 7/11/23 I sent Branch Manager, Mathew Quirk, an email stating that we would accept what I think is a fair amount for our troubles and I, once again, have been met with silence. Having Window Nation come out to your house to quote window replacement is like sitting for a time share presentation! the sales pitch is way to long, the rep was at our house for over 3.5 hours. The quote started at $45,000. However by time the rep deducted "everything possible" which included calling his boss, and them both throwing in "their family discount" the price came down to $15,500! That's quite a reduction. of course this "deal" was only good for that day, but naturally said "He" would personally guarantee that price for a "few" days. Needless to say, Window Nation is not getting our business. Furthermore, we spoke to a friend of ours who i unbeknownst to us had a rep come to their house to give them a quote, surprise.....same discounts and sales tactics. i would not recommend this company! If there were negative stars, I would pick them. The customer service is non existant. It takes forever to hear back from someone and they always blame the lack of response on someone else. If ZERO were a rating option, that's what I'd put here. ZERO customer service!! A bunch of incompetent morons working there! Had our windows installed in March, 2022. Upon completion of installation, inspected each window and noticed two defects- one on a screen in dining room and one of the windows in my office. Pointed out to installer, noted on his survey, he took pictures as did I. He told me someone would be contacting me. No one ever did so I wrote an email to the "customer service" department. Went back and forth with emails for a couple of weeks! They asked for photos of the window and screen in question which I sent. Finally got an appointment for someone to come out and have a look. The appointment was for April 14 AFTER 3pm. Around 11:40am, I hear my ring doorbell was rung over my phone. I am at work. I answered and there was a gentleman there from window Nation. I told him we were not home and that the appointment was for AFTER 3pm!! He looks at the papers on his clipboard and says there is nothing there that says after 3pm. So he walks away as I am explaining that my wife and I are both at work! Asked if he could return later and he just left me talking to myself! I called the "service" number and explain what had just occurred. They tell me someone would come later. Then about 1:56pm, another gentleman comes, BUT WE ARE STILL NOT HOME!! I called a second time that day, now it's just after 5pm. They tell me no one else would be out that day and that they would contact me. 11 days later after no contact being initiated by them, I write an email stating all the issues I am having to resolve what I believe to be a simple issue. Someone called me a day later but I did not see the call coming in. They did NOT leave a voicemail. I see the missed call and today I call back to see what is going on. Right now I am waiting for someone to call me back! Way too much work to be put on a customer!! I have had an obscene amount of contact with them and STILL have the problem I first told them about over a month ago!! DO NOT BUY FROM WINDOW NATION!! read more
