Just had 16 windows installed by this company and it was a good experience all around. Low pressure sales visit, ability to structure the deal with more or less options, full cost breakdown. Installer Leon was great to work with, and he really puts effort and pride into the work he does. Solid install. Every one I spoke to during the process was professional and easy to work with. Definitely put them on your quote list if you're in the market. read more

I had all the windows in my house replaced. After getting different quotes from other companies this one was the best pricing and had the best reviews. They were always very responsive and accommodating with anything I needed. The install went great, and we are very happy with our new windows! Thank you Greg, Lenny, and Leon for all your help! read more

Action Windows & Siding - Windows Installation Near Me - West Hartford, Connecticut

The owner spent extra time describing different options for my condo windows. His installer showed up on time and finished quicker than I expected. My new windows look and work great! Thank you guys! read more

Kris B.Manchester, CT. 11/29/2021 The installer we had was a jerk. He blamed us for a window that did not close properly because it was installed crooked. It would not lock and there was a breeze flowing through. When the locks were SHOVED into place on one side, the window still popped up, and it wasn't air tight. He gaslights his customers and NEVER admits HE made a mistake. He had to go out to his car to get a tool to fix it, twice, but then went on to tell ME, I close the window too hard, and the glass will break, as why he installed the window CROOKED? He blamed us for HIM NOT caulking, claiming "your house is old?" WHAT IS THAT? They made him come back after he said: "I get paid $65.00/per window, I don't get paid to caulk." Zack made him come back and caulk, so he used, unpaintable caulk to prove my assessment of him. (a jerk) I even sanded it and the paint doesn't take. The windows themselves are fine. Disagreeable installer is the downfall of this business. He cannot admit fault, which makes him a narcissist. They claim, "that just his personality." Keep his mannerless behind off my property. He should NEVER BLAME THE CUSTOMER for his short comings. I'll never call them again and we were going to put in (2) more basement windows, that will now go to another business. read more

Terrible Say they come and waited all day then they call they will come next day . They postponed the following day also . They give you a time they will come and never show up . Not reliable would not use them ! Surprised they are in business .. Would not use them if you value people who keep there word . Note there is the same complaint in Better business review .. I wonder how often they do this to innocent customers ?? read more

A great experience! Everyone we worked with from the salesman and installers to the support staff in the office were professional.

We are very happy with our new Okna windows. After a lot of research on different window makers I called Okna and they recommended Action Windows. Zack visited, explained everything in detail, pros and cons, and we were happy with a fair estimate. The crew that did the work was courteous, professional and finished in a timely manner. They were great to deal with! The windows look great and we get plenty of compliments. I would gladly recommend Action Windows to anyone. Do some research on the different types of windows and then give them a call. read more

I have been using Action Windows company since 1997. Hands down the best and precise workmanship service and installation company. They did always go an extra mile. It is almost 20 years and my front windows, doors are in the perfect shape. Strongly recommend. read more

Called them over for a QUOTE on 2 basement windows and two garage windows. $1,700. Yes we talked about a basement window price on the phone but garage required measurement. Sales manager expected an on the spot sale. Felt it was steep. My prerogative. Dissatisfied. I didn't sign a contract. A quote is just that. No need to guilt the customer. C ya! read more

Everybody that I worked with from the salesman (Zack) to the crew that installed my windows was all very professional and polite. They kept us well informed on installation and gave us plenty of time to be ready. We had our whole house completely done including putting a Bow window in the front. Once the job was completed the crew made sure that everything was clean. They left no mess of any kind. I was nervous about doing my whole house but I am glad that I did. We had a great experience and would definitely recommend Action Windows & Siding to others. read more

We can not encourage you enough to use Action windows for your job. I wish I could rate them higher than one ( A ). I have had good and bad contractors over the years so I have dealt with it all. Action EXCEEDS expectations of contractors. We actually had to wait nearly 6 months after the estimate to place the order and when we finally were able to call them back, Zack had all the paperwork and still remembered everything we wanted. He didn't even need to come back out and everything was ordered 100 % exactly as we discussed 6 months earlier. Fast, courteous, clean, affordable, conscientious and attentive to our desires. From the salesman giving the estimate to the last man on cleanup after the install, it was a pleasure working with Action Windows and all their staff. I look forward to working with them in the future. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!! A +++++ read more

My husband and I recently purchased a townhouse in downtown Hartford that needed major renovation. By the time we finished with all the mess, expense, and craziness of all that work the last thing we wanted to do was replace our windows, but it had to be done. We had 4 window companies look at the job, but it was clear that Action was the right choice. They have done many windows in our historic building and understood the importance of maintaining the integrity of the property. They worked with us on price and payment options and made the entire process as quick, clean, and painless as possible. I am not sure what happened with the few people who have posted negative reviews about them, but from my experience there is nothing you could want from a window company - fair price, responsiveness, friendly service, professional installation - that they do not deliver. read more

Update to July 10th. They got in touch with me after I posted my review, and promptly made an appointment to measure the panes of glass which needed replacement. Zack came out and measured, after which he told us it would be about 3 weeks to have the glass made to order. He came back out this morning at the time he said he would, and did a good job installing the replacement panes. They were very pleasant and professional. We are happy with how this was resolved. read more

Update, 08/01/16....Just wanted to provide an update for anyone researching new windows. Everything has been great. After nearly one year, through heat, cold, storms these windows and the slider have been Great! Windows operate perfectly and have performed excellently. So easy to clean and use,... workmanship has been as great as expected through heat, cold and storms. No problems. Still highly recommend Action Windows to all consumers..... From last year..... We have a smaller scale, two-story condo. We had been researching for several months; had demonstrations and estimates. We just added nine double hung windows, one larger 3-casement and one smaller 2-casement window and a patio sliding door a month ago. Windows by OKNA, installed by ACTION WINDOWS. We could not be more satisfied. Haven't had to replace windows for years, so we were in strange waters. Finally decided on the windows and ordered them. Then you think, 'okay, the windows are only as good as the installation.' I was never disappointed with Action Windows at all, from start to finish. The installers were neat, thorough, performed quality work in re-framing the windows, the interior and exterior trim, and even the caulking was done with care, precision and detail. Never a doubt or worry now after watching this crew work. The windows have been GREAT! I was so tired and frustrated with our old windows. I don't think being this happy over new windows is necessarily a "Guy Thing" but I am truly very happy and have total piece of mind. We could have gone cheaper,...but so glad I didn't. It isn't worth the nightmare having poor quality material or workmanship. The price was reasonable, well worth it and we have a good warranty. I highly recommend this business,... happy to write this review,...for YOUR benefit as much as theirs. And the reason I hit five stars is because they didn't offer Six! read more
