We got an estimate of $162, the workers showed up and said the job was going to be $665 to complete the job because it requires a specific type of glass. The repair guy left and told us to call the office if we didn't like it. We did and spoke to the GM, who backed his guy. I called the window doctor from a referral from the neighborhood app. Stacy, who schedules, gives the estimates, ect, is great. So pleasant to speak with and is so personable, I wish all companies had someone like her! Lorenzo, the repair man, was equally friendly! This company is a rip off. Beware of their contract. Had 2 representatives come to my home and they proceeded to tell me all 10 windows needed to be fixed. Signed a contract and then decided to cancel a couple hours later the same day because I felt their costs was extremely high. Called the office several times and left messages that I wanted to cancel. Finally received a call from someone who told me I was obligated to pay for parts because of the cancelation policy in the contract. In very small print it states if you cancel within 24 hrs that you are obligated to pay for parts. This cancelation policy was never pointed out to me prior to signing the contract. read more

A young man from window Doctor came out to our house to give us a quote for 3 broken windows. His quote was $225 per window. We agreed and he said they would call to set up an appointment. They just called and stated he wasn't authorized to give us a quote and it would be $1900 instead. The owner got on the phone with my husband and was rude and stayed firm with the $1900. I received a call from the owner Marsha, telling me that my company owed them $65 for a service call. However, I never called them nor utilized their services. So as I'm trying explain this to her, she hangs up on me and tells me they will file a lien. So Apparently my tenant did use them and paid them. So Marsha calls me back says "I didn't realize it was for 'so and so'. A lien won't be necessary and then hangs up again. No apology. She's completely rude and totally out of line. I really appreciate what Window Doctor did for me. Long story short, my fiance and I purchased a new home. In our contract, the seller agreed to fix the window in one of the spare bedrooms. I never realized that the specific window I am mentioning, 2 different companies did work on it. The first company did the bottom portion of the window where the track is. When we did our final walk-through, it was still all messed up. It wouldn't lock and even when it was "locked", I could still pick the window up and down. It was completely off the track. I asked the seller to provide me receipts with all the work she did prior to us moving in just in case we had to follow up with anything. She only gave me Window Doctor's receipt. Not the other company. Window Doctor did the top portion of the window. When they went there, they advised her what she should do and she declined it and authorized them to do just the glass on the top part. I assumed they did the whole thing. They explained that she declined the work they recommended. She hired some garbage company to do the bottom and did a terrible job. I informed the selling agent what was wrong and he had Window Doctor come out. Brandon (one of the installers) came to the house and told me in person what they told her to do and she declined it. Even though she did not pay for the work, Brandon and Window Doctor still did it for me anyway and only charged me the fee for him coming out which was $65. That was very nice of them. Now my window works perfectly. They were very kind for doing that. If I need any work done in the future, I will be calling them and giving them my business because of the nice gesture they did for me. read more

Window and sliding door specialists knew exactly what to do and fixed what 5 different specialists couldn't. They'd get 5 stars if they'd call before coming; their receptionist needs a little more skill. Marcie, the owner manager, is very cooperative. They worked hard, got the new tracks and handles installed on the sliding glass doors, and even came back a second time to get the weatherstripping right on the non-sliding doors. Buyer Beware, we used them to replace our seals around the common area windows of our association. They chipped one our windows in our Gym, then insisted on a credit card payment. When we tried to hold back the 2nd payment we were overruled and lost. Now that the chip has turned into many cracks and the cost to replace is $2k. Very overpriced for their services. Received a quote of $380 to repair a small window frame. They came out with two workers spent 5 minutes, and they caulked four little strips of aluminum to the existing frame that were 2 in by 10 in and the were there for only 10 minutes. Called the office to discuss they reason for the high price and they told me they pay their workers $100 an hour. Buyer beware! read more

Do NOT use this company. It took 6 months to get one window installed in my condo. First they lost my paperwork after they sent someone to look at the job. Rather than admit they lost it, they kept jerking me around. Finally, they admitted it and sent someone out again. It took 3 months to order and receive the window and then it came in with the wrong glass. I had to wait another month for the right glass to come in. After the window was finally installed, my blinds did not work after they left and they wanted no part of coming back to look at them and see if they could get them to work again. I am on the board of my huge condo complex and I will be removing them from the recommended vendors to use. They were a nightmare. read more

I first came into contact with Window Doctor when my kitchen window was leaking... I called them and they assured me someone would be at my home by 2:00pm... At 1:55pm I received a call that the tech was at my home...He inspected my window and found the leak quickly... The tech explained why the window was leaking and what he was going to do to stop the leak...As of today there has not been any leaks...I was very impressed with Window Doctors customer service..So much so that I inquired about installing Hurricane windows and doors... Window Doctor came in with the best price so I decided to go with them...It was the best decision I could have made, they did exactly what they said they were going to do.... These guys were great and very skilled at what they do. We had 2 small window screens replaced and 2 sliding glass door screens. The sliders are 4' x 8' and the windows are roughly 2' x 3'...true dimension is a little less. I replaced the lock on one of the screen doors and for the life of me couldn't get the lock to engage properly with the lock clasp. I showed it to them and they were happy to make it work for no extra charge. This was a great help! Total cost was $200 which comes out to about $2.70 a sq. ft. They were quick, efficient and professional. I would highly recommend. They were here about 45 minutes start to finish. read more

I called at the beginning of February and they said their first available appt was March 2nd which was a month away. I went ahead and booked it and then a week later they called and said they needed to reschedule for March 16th because an employee was injured. Then on February 28th they called and said they could make the original appt time because they had a cancellation which I thought was very strange.....then 2 men showed up and looked at my window and said they didn't have my Springs on the truck and would need to order them and the first available appt for them to come back was March 16th which was two and a half weeks away and strangely the exact day they had tried to move my original appt to.....they told me I would have to pay $100 to hold my appt slot on the 16th. It sounded so shady I called their office who told me that's what everyone does and nobody was holding a gun to my head to use them. So I told the woman she was right nobody was holding a gun to my head and I wouldn't be using their company. Worst customer service I've ever had and the $100 to hold an appt spot? Seriously? Super shady. Unless you have months to spare and want to pay to hold an appt slot I wouldn't call them. I've warned everyone off on Facebook as well. read more

Scheduled them to come to my house and repair sliding glass door, locks. They rescheduled me for not a really good reason. Raining outside. My locks are inside and under a lanai. Anyways fine. So today supposed to be here between 10-12. Call and they are running an hour and a half behind because they had an "emergency". What are the point of making an appointment if you cannot keep it. Especially over a week out regardless of what the alleged emergency is. Remember your time is as valuable as any body else's. DO not do business with them unless you have time to sit around and wait endlessly. I had this company come to my home on August 28, 2015, for an estimate. They arrived and gave me a quote of $318.00. No problem. So, the appointment was set for September 1, 2015, they did not show, and no phone call. I had to call them to find out what was going on. Was told there was an emergency and pushed off till September 2, 2015. Appointment time between 9AM -11AM. Guess what no show again and no call. So, I called and was told a truck broke down. Needless to say I was annoyed. I Googled other companies and I have another company that has a better rating coming out on Friday, September 4, 2015, and they are doing the same job for $175.00. Guess what my phone was immediately called to find out what the problem was. Well, here's the problem STOP making excuses and show up when you say you are going to show up and do your JOB! I just recently used Window doctor to fix a problem that was caused by another window company. It turned oit Window doctor was more affordable than the company that didn't finish the work. They even removed all of the expired caulking that never dried without leaving a mess behind. I heard nothing but good things from my friends about them. I was almost hesitant about calling them because of the reviews but I realized that everybody in the customer service business is going to have issues with high maintenance customers. Some people are just never happy no matter what you do. They were early and got the job done earlier than they told me. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
