DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! They pulled a permit with the city of Port St. Lucie to do a job. Never completed the job or finished filing the permit, and it expired. During this entire time period, I was lied to about how they were working on it with city inspectors, and everything was fine. They ended up completing the job AFTER a lein was placed on my property by the city. THEY REFUSED to accept any responsibility in this matter. Now I have a large bill to pay. read more

This company is so well run from beginning to end! I needed a custom shower door for my bathroom I renovated any they delivered. I then needed a custom mirror on my other bathroom and they took care of that too. I was in the construction industry for over 40 years. Monterey Glass is awesome. I called several glass shops before them and not only did they answer right away and give me a quick quote and turnaround time but their price was the best. I had 2 pieces of glass that needed to be custom cut for furniture. When I got it home it didn't fit. It wasn't their fault.. turns out the Modani media centers aren't a perfect rectangle or I just don't know how to use a tape measure lol... Either way I called them expecting to be charged to fix it and they quickly offered to shave some down for me at no charge. Took it back and they were so kind about it and helpful. Very poor customer service. Had appt. They never showed up no phone call to inform me. They didn't even call back next day. I had to call owner or whoever answering phone is curt and doesn't seem to care. They finally or installer called on two days later and said I was next appt which would have been in afternoon after I told owner it had to be morning appt so I guess by ignoring me and putting up with no show I still didn't warrant being the first call in morning. What a great person, easy to work with, very informative, has responded to all my e-mails, texts and phone calls. He ordered our windows w/o even taking 1/2 deposit because we have had good open communication. He came out with his installer to ensure all the measurements were correct. He came in $4,000.00 cheaper than competitor. He answered ALL my questions. He informed me that the windows would not be in till Feb 2022, which we are okay with, and he will hold the windows in the shop till we arrive in March 2022. While I was there - I also learned that Monterey Glass carry/install PGT impact windows. Don't waste your time even calling this company, unless you have a high profit job for them. This is the only reason I can guess for them to lie to anyone who calls. I talked to "Joe" several times, and he asked for photos,which I sent him twice, and he never responded. He promised to call back and give a time the following day that someone would come to my home to measure my windows and give me a estimate. Apparently, these people lack any honesty or respect for potential customers with small jobs. Instead of telling the caller that they don't do small jobs, they lie their way out of it, until you just give up. A very poor way to do business. read more

Contracted with them to purchase a window with installation. Sent deposit over a month ago and they now do not want to provide installation or return my deposit. Joe Delvecchio, the owner told me he would deliver window but not install. Now I can't find anyone to install window and he refuses to return my deposit. DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM. Everything bad about this business has to do with the man that answers the phone. Pros - - The installers Brandon and Patrick did a great job. Professional, capable, courteous, no complaints at all. - The product and price was competitive. Cons - - Took more than a week to get them here, after being told it would be the next day. Daily runaround. - The guy that answers the phone is the most difficult and unapologetic person you will ever speak with. If you have a job under $500, be prepared for him to re-route the installers from your scheduled job to another more valuable one, day after day. He will never call to inform you of this. You will just take the day off from work and wait, for nothing. When you call each day, depending on when you call, you will be told that they'll be there at the end of the day, or you will be first the following day. But you won't. You will wait another day. I waited 8 days instead of 1. If you can keep from strangling the little man that answers the phone, and don't mind sitting at home for a week or so waiting for that knock at your door, they will do a good job. read more

I called to request a measurement and quote for a piece of 3/8 glass on a large dining room table and must have used the number for the jerk department. The guy who answered the phone was terribly unprofessional a complete wise ass, like I was wasting his time bothering him. Right off the bat I let him know that I got his number from my family who has had recently done work with him, he says "yeah so what do you want", I relayed the desire for a measurement and quote, he said "why would I come out there to measure anything" , (????? WTF...right) so he then asked me "is it an oval or a racetrack" I asked him what the difference is and he became even more annoyed with his poor explanation, then he asks "does it have an overhang" I asked him to explain what information or measurement specifically was he wanting, and with a major attitude says, "how many ways can I ask you if the table overhangs the base" ..... Next I hear, "hold on I got another call" after having trouble figuring out how to use the call waiting he got back on the phone with me and said, "so what are you going to do" I said why are you talking to me like a complete wise ass, like I'm bothering you trying to do business with you, he replies with "ya know something, you can go fuc# yourself - fuc# you" and hangs up the phone. It sounds like a business in trouble or certainly headed that way or drugs or whatever but there was something wrong with him, I highly recommend you shop around before putting your faith in this company I wound up calling Port St Lucie Glass & Mirror and my goodness what a difference, PSL Glass was so nice & polite it's easy to see why PSL has great reviews. read more

I needed a small piece of glass for an outside table. I called around and no one wanted to take the job because not high dollar item. Monterey Glass was recommended by a local business owner. I walked in and they immediately were able to accommodate me. In fact, the gentlemen who was cutting my the glass ended up giving me a thicker piece. The only down side was they take only cash or checks. I was not told that until we were ready to check out so I had to leave, run to ATM and go back.
