I recently had the pleasure of visiting Windmill Tea House, and I must say it was an absolute delight! Nestled in the heart of Albuquerque, this boba cafe offers a serene atmosphere, friendly staff, and an impressive menu of refreshing beverages. I couldn't resist trying their famous taro boba, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience! From the moment I stepped inside Windmill Tea House, I was greeted with a warm smile and a tranquil ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The cafe is beautifully decorated, with its cozy seating areas and charming windmill-inspired accents. It's the perfect spot to relax, catch up with friends, or simply enjoy some alone time. Now, let's talk about the star of the show--the taro boba. Oh, my taste buds were in heaven! Windmill Tea House truly knows how to craft the perfect boba drink. The taro flavor was spot on, offering a delicate balance of sweetness and earthiness that I found incredibly satisfying. The boba pearls were delightfully chewy and added a fun texture to each sip. It was evident that the drink was made with care and attention to detail. The menu at Windmill Tea House is impressive, with an extensive selection of boba flavors, teas, and other specialty drinks. Whether you're a fan of classic options or looking to explore new flavors, this place has got you covered. The staff was more than happy to offer recommendations and provide guidance based on personal preferences. Their knowledge and enthusiasm for their craft were truly admirable. Apart from the fantastic drinks, the service at Windmill Tea House was exceptional. The staff members were attentive, accommodating, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a delightful experience for every customer. They took the time to answer my questions, explain the ingredients, and even shared some fascinating insights about the origins of boba tea. Their enthusiasm only added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. To top it all off, Windmill Tea House also offers a selection of delectable snacks and treats to complement your boba experience. I couldn't resist trying some of their homemade pastries, which were absolutely divine. Each bite was a burst of flavor and a perfect accompaniment to my taro boba. In conclusion, Windmill Tea House in Albuquerque is a true gem. From the tranquil atmosphere to the exceptional service, and, of course, the incredible taro boba, this cafe has earned its place as a must-visit spot for boba enthusiasts. If you find yourself in Albuquerque, don't miss the opportunity to indulge in the delights this establishment has to offer. Five stars all the way! read more

I came here a few times. I stopped going because I cannot support the practices of the owners. While I was waiting for my drink, the managers were yelling at the workers in the back even though I didn't see they were doing anything wrong. When I tried giving the tip to the girl who made my drink, she wouldn't accept it so I told the owner to give the whole $4 to her, but later on they only gave her $1. And the workers seem really stressed out about working there. So although the drinks are delicious, I can't support them. read more

The drinks were tasty & on par with what I've had with good teahouses in Houston Asian town. There is an area to sit and hang out. This teahouse house has some notable cool things that none of the other ones I've tried in Albuquerque/Rio Rancho have offered. This is the only teahouse that 1) uses real fruit in their drinks, 2) have bingsu on the menu, & 3) have games to play. The place is nicely decorated with some cool themes & has a cool vibe. The only negative that I can think of is that their restroom wasn't working/accessible for customers at this time. After buying drinks for a group of 4 with children and hanging out playing games, someone will eventually need to use the restroom. They said we could walk to the restaurant across the way & use their restroom. ‍ This place may be good if you're in the area & want to grab a drink & go or don't plan on staying too long. Hopefully the restroom situation gets sorted out soon. I came back a week later to grab a drink & go since I was in the area and decided to update my review. The service was great and my drink came out quick just like the 1st time. I was acknowledged as I stepped up to the counter The workers were polite and answered my questions. This time I tried the dirty milk tea after reading the reviews. I was told it had consdensed milk and caramel. It was pretty awesome and packed full of flavor & sweetness. But scine I don't normally go for the super sweet drinks, it got to be a lil too much after a while. If I do pick it up again, I'd prob dial down the sweetness level. Overall, this teahouse has been the best one we've been to so far. I recommend stopping by & giving them a try. We'll try out the bingsu next time.
