The grounds at the complex were meticulously maintained and the pool and gym areas were fantastic. We also enjoyed the private beach club access. I especially appreciate the top notch customer service from Jason and his team. A question on how to work the thermostat was promptly addressed and resolved in a few minutes (after office hours). Jason also reached out pro-actively to let us know we were welcome to check in early and stay late, since there were no other guests on our arrival and departure dates. We will definitely be back! We searched many properties in the area and found a luxury condo on the property managed by Jason. The unit (on Hainoa street) was perfect. Clean, quiet, great view, and comfortable. There was a minor issue with the grill malfunctioning and Jason was all over it, ultimately fixing it on Easter Sunday. He was immediately responsive and managed to find a repair person, get them to respond and address the problem, all while constantly following up with me and the repair guy. I have rented a number of nice vacation homes over the years and the is the best service I have ever seen. If you are going to the big island, I would highly recommend this unit. 3br/3ba that is just perfect. Nice touches like Tommy Bahama beach chairs and umbrella. Match that with the service and you are all set. If I didn't have a job and need money, I would have just stayed there.

When my husband and I rented a condo on the Big Island for 16 days from Kohala Coast Properties, we…read morealso purchased travel insurance. This Kohala Coast Properties sells by using CSA Travel Protection in San Diego, CA. Due to my health issues (including a week in the hospital), we needed to cancel our trip. So we applied for a refund. CSA Travel Protection took months to review my medical records - then finally approved the refund. BUT said that they were only required to refund $150 of the $8,868.62 refund amount, because the rest of our refund should come from Kohala Coast Properties. Well as you can guess, Kohala Coast Properties isn't paying either. Now my husband and I are stuck in the middle - with NO REFUND. When I did a search on Kohala Coast Properties, Inc business license on the Hawaii.gov site, I found a message saying "This business is not in good standing." I so wish I had done this search before I rented the condo!
