Came in here after surprising my dad and father in law (and had the rest of our family there, too) at an ultrasound at Vegas Baby, which is located in the same shopping center. We were all hungry after so we decided to hit up Winchell's for lunch! I've been to a few of these in Vegas, but this was the first time I had been to this location. The staff was friendly and welcomed us right away when we walked in. They have a bar side and then a restaurant side as well, but I believe no matter what you have to be 21+ in order to dine there. We were seated on the restaurant side and our server was great and took great care of us! I ordered the hot chicken sandwich to eat. It was a rather big group of us (8 in total), and I feel like our food came out pretty quickly which was nice. The hot chicken sandwich was pretty good and came with a choice of a side, so I got the fries. Not bad for your typical bar food. read more

This looks like a cool local hangout. It's dark, intimate, never closes and the staff are great. The review is for their food. First time visitor, I ordered takeout for a coworker and myself who were working late for overnight work at the airport. She got the spaghetti & meatballs, a garden salad and I got the Parmesan chicken sliders. Another coworker said her husband tried the Philly cheesesteak and wasn't impressed. We were also not impressed by our food. The garden salad was just a tiny container of boxed lettuce mix. Her spaghetti was pronounced "okay." She said the bread that came with was the highlight. My sliders were immense. I just washed 3 tiny sandwiches and for $13 I thought that's what I'd get but it was a giant box with seasoned fries and 3 sandwiches each capable of holding their own on a plate. I ended up eating the fries (which were good) and eating a sandwich later. I still have two left as i write this. The sandwiches didn't have anything that stood out. Just marinara and mozzarella on a white bread with some breaded chicken. On the plus side the prices here are reasonable. I wish they'd ditch the use of straws and styrofoam. Maybe it's just down to picking the right dish. I'll probably be back because they're 24/7. read more

Some friends suggested this restaurant in the Smith's supermarket shopping center for dinner. I ordered an open-faced sliced turkey breast with mashed potatoes, turkey gravy & cranberry sauce. Topped it off with a vanilla ice cream special for two. The turkey dinner was cooked just right, and the dessert is always a treat. The lighting is dim, the noise level is low, ample parking, and the servers are friendly. The menu prices are quite reasonable, and portions are ample. A good choice for a simple, affordable meal. I have been going to the location on Warm Springs for many years and all I order is the Cuvée salad. The last experience this past week was not as pleasant eating my favorite salad with an abundant number of knats flying around and diving into my salad. I hope it just wasn't already in there. I let the waiter know and he joked that it was extra seasoning. I would have thought he would have taken care of it on the bill since I couldn't eat anymore of it. Oh well. we've been going to Winchells for many many years, and whether they've sold to somebody or new management, but they have lost 80% of their good employees, the food is not the same and even when specify what you would like when you're ordering it I've recently experienced waiters and waitresses, giving me every excuse why they can't do something instead of satisfying the customer. It's now my last go to restaurant. it is like the difference of getting a hamburger that is got a great presentation versus one that has the cooks fist stuck through it and when you explain it, most of the serve staff just does not get it. First time I've used both salt and pepper shaker in a restaurant in many years (usually just pepper). Homefries - meh Just deep fried cubed potatoes, not much effort or thought went into any seasoning. Ordered sourdough toast dry, arrived buttered. Server checked back 80 seconds after food arrived, next time was 8 minutes later. Too late to fix the toast order, no need to burden the server. Food 4 / 10 - low end of average Service 5 / 10 - average Ambiance 8 / 10 - exactly what you would expect for a pub. Clean and not too loud at the time so +3. ** Country fried steak and home fries both lacked seasoning. Unlikely to return as I can do better at home with little effort. When dining out, I usually order something not easy to prepare at home. Back to Eggs Benedict on thick cut toasted sourdough at home for now with an 8+ homemade hollandaise. read more

Convenient location for our group with lots of choices for food and beverages. Our server was excellent. I selected one of the mentioned items though my selection was less than stellar. Server asked I wanted something else, I said no and was happy to pay for my meal. She took it off my bill. I left a great tip for great service. My first time at Winchell's and won't be my last. We sat in the dining room and had great service from start to finish! The dining room area is a chill space, there were couples, groups of adults, business dinners and even families with kids. It wasn't smoky or loud which was also nice. The pretzel bread and jalapeño cheese were delicious! The fries were also crisp and tasty! My california dreamin' was okay, a little on the dry side - I don't like tomato and it normally comes with it, I imagine it would help with the dryness. We ordered the peach cobbler and carrot cake to go - the peach cobbler was okay, the crust lacked flavor. The carrot cake was delicious. This location of Winchell's is the best! The staff is fantastic, the food is consistently good, which for the last few years has not been the case in several of the PTs and other bats I go to. I was staying at a nearby hotel for the 4th and decided to try this place out. Right off the bat you notice the buildings interior had an old-timey, vintage look to it with dark woods and stone columns and walls. Almost like a citadel. Rock music was plenty on the radio. The service was a bit transactional, but back to that later. The Menu looked decent, i had a Nashville chicken sandwich. The sandwich was semi-satisfactory and the fries tasted like old unchanged grease. When i finished my sandwich i was only there for 35 minutes and was automatically brought my bill by the bartender. I asked if she was leaving and she said no- i informed that i wasn't done yet nor was i leaving. My wife came and i had a few more cocktails....by the end of it the bartender decided to use her TAM card skills and tell me that was my last one because she wasn't comfortable making me any more. While i get it, i certainly wasn't doing much but keeping to myself. Since that was the 2nd time she tried to get rid of me and she was way more transactional vs. friendly I'll bet she wasn't comfortable with her tip either! It has potential to be a good hang out, but there just wasn't any fun vibe to it, it was a depressing low energy spot to be in and i felt uncomfortable there. Many better options. read more

We had an amazing server on Friday evening 10/17/2025. Her name was Shaina. She did a great job checking on us and suggesting things. But the most amazing thing she did was the UBER driver who brought us to this establishment brought in my IPHONE I had lost on the ride over. We had just arrived from the airport and wanted to get something to eat. I accidentally left my phone sticking out too far in my pocket and it fell out in her car. She remembered where she dropped us off. She came back to where she dropped us off and Shaina knew exactly who we were cuz I had been talking about losing my phone on our way over. This is a "must stop by" place for me each time I'm in town. I can't say enough about this diamond of a place. The service is always fast and friendly. The cuvée salad is the bomb. Tried to duplicate the dressing but failed. Ha! Ha! I've tried almost everything on the menu and have not been disappointed. Regardless of the time of day, this spot is always welcoming. I've been here many times during the day and night, whether it's for a sports watching day or just to hang out with friends, or to grab a late bite before going home. The Chef at this spot is amazing, he takes pride in the food he makes too. I've had almost everything on the menu except for the salads (I'm not a salad person) and never had a bad bite. Johnny is my fav bartender for the night time, he's been here years and all the regulars know him by name. My favorite go-to's are the Triple Decker Ruben, Mushroom Burger, and Gyro. read more

Food is good but there's a bartender there who thought it was okay to try and talk to us in a what felt like a condescending and belittling if not in a slightly intimidating tone.This was because we paid separate checks after a certain hour around 10:45 to 11pm if I remember correctly.Which we didn't know that you couldn't pay separate checks after said hour because when the night shift starts all bills get consolidated into one big Check,which again like I said,we did not know this and I'll explain why we didn't know this in just a minute. Now,as we were being served our food and drinks,one of the bartenders walks over with waters and and asks how everything is before he has a sit down at our table like as if he was Tony Soprano(as we're trying to eat mind you) to give us what felt like a five minute lecture on the semantics of bar etiquette saying and I quote " for future preference the next time you come to an establishment like this as a group instead of paying on 7 separate checks(there's only 6 of us)how about of of you just pay the tab then you can all cash app that person,do any of you have cashapp,Zelle or Venmo?" We tried to ignore him hoping he'd go away but he lingered a little longer and kept asking the same question "do you have cashapp,do you Zelle etc.Okay well then next time just use that".I remember he said this with the coldest and deadest stare I've ever seen. Now,not only was he not serving our food nor our drinks,he wasn't even our waiter in fact the only time he came to check in our table was just to give us his little condescending speech.The actual waiter(he was very helpful)who took our orders said that if we wanted to pay separate bills that it's okay,so obviously we took that option as opposed to paying one big bill which was very helpful for us. So for him to go out of his was to try and talk down to us in what felt like him either trying to humiliate or belittle us and to try and soften his lecture by giving us what he called "free" bottles of water is honestly pretty insulting. The waiter who served us was nice and helpful but his colleague whom I'm assuming is of a higher status had to have been one of the most condescending and disparaging people I've ever met.I never got his name but be careful for him,he's a tall Caucasian male with a bald head built physique and a little grey soul patch,not to sound funny but he almost looks like David Drainman from the band Disturbed,he looks to be in his late 30's to early 40's. I honestly don't understand it,if we were given the okay to pay separate checks why would this bartender go out of his way to try what almost felt like intimidating us into paying separate checks the next time we return(if I'm being honest we probably won't)if he wasn't even the one taking our orders down because not once did he come to our table which I was okay with because we already had help from a our main waiter of the evening. Like I said earlier he give us "free" bottles of water but we refused his offering and took our business to a superior bar which is PT's bar & grill which was only a block away,and surprisingly when we talked with the bartender there we told him what happened and he said that this isn't the first time people have come people have come from Winchell's establishment complaining about this one bartender and that even the regulars at Winchell's have left because they don't wanna deal with him. The rest of the staff were polite and helpful but the bartender,whom I'll call David for the rest of this review(Drainman of Disturbed)I'm really not trying to be funny but because he had no name tag nor did he introduce himself properly I can't say what his actual name is. I don't wanna alienate him or anything but I do feel that he needs to be retaught the semantics of customer service if he's gonna work in this field of employment. I'm not gonna say something like the customer is always right but if you're having a bad day or a rough night(which I completely understand)that doesn't give you the right to talk down to people because you feel like 6 separate checks is gonna make your job harder when your not even the one serving or taking our orders down and mind you all of us only ordered a meal,appetizer and drinks if I'm being honest our orders weren't even that big.I honestly did enjoy the meal and drink I had but left frustrated and confused by the interaction we had with "David" If you plan on going with friends or family to this establishment maybe go during the day which I assume he doesn't day shift if I'm wrong however just be weary of "David" or just go to PT's or Village pub etc,as there's no reason why anyone should have to belittle you because you're not paying one big check. read more

What a big surprise. We have been flying into Vegas for a couple of years and we stay by the airport before heading to Saint George UT. I have wondered about this place. My wife wanted a baked potato and they have them so we stopped in. The young lady who greeted us and waited on us, and the rest of the guests was amazing, just wish I remembered her name. Halloween night and looking for a place in Vegas to watch the Texas Rangers play game 3 of the series. Winchell's pub had good reviews, and it was close to my hotel. Nice dark vibe inside with a huge wrap around bar with slots. The booth seating was nice across from the bar. The staff was dressed up for Halloween and everyone was nice and very attentive. I had a house salad with honey mustard for an appetizer that was served on a cold plate. I love salads served on a cold plate. The chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables was awesome. Served hot, and the chicken was tender. The house Cabernet wine was also good, at $6 per glass. After a day of traveling, we stopped at this diner by our hotel. The service was excellent and prices were affordable. I got a Lagunitas IPA and the San Franscico burger. My burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. I also got the Tajin fries with my burger, which were really good. I stumbled on this place while looking for a quick beer and grub before jumping on a flight. What a great find. The good: Location! Only 1/4 mile to the rental car drop off you are perfectly situated to stop by before or after a flight into vegas. It is a local hang out with friendly people in a fun atmosphere. Sit at the bar and drop $20 in the video poker machine. Beers are free from that point on. The food is an eclectic combo of sandwiches and Italian cuisine. Loved the gyro and Philly cheesesteaks the last few times there. Bartenders are very attentive and funny. The bad: it is a bit off the path from the strip or outer communities but as I said, it's perfect for an before flight fix. Considering how much food and drinks are at the airport, it's a no brainier. The ugly: nothing ugly about this place. Make it a part of your pre-flight routine.
