She let me put on Netflix on the TV and went to work. Very pleasant and quick. She let me know that I grind my teeth and mentioned that I might benefit from a night guard. She even let me know there are non prescription options that I could try. I've always known I've needed one but never felt comfortable enough with a dentist to do it but I took the plunge with Park Slope Dentistry. The dentist was very friendly and personable. I was a little suspicious because I was asked by at least 3 people in the office if I had dental insurance plus I had absolutely no pain...in my experience, if you have a cavity it hurts like hell so if I had 8 I think I would have been in agony! Needless to say I got a second opinion before I had my mouth filled with mercury. It took me 6 months to schedule an appointment with another dentist. Guess how many cavities they found?.....ZERO!!! Finally, she told me I couldn't come in at my appt time - I could come in at 11 (but by this time i'm home on the phone with her and it's already after 10:30?!?!) She said this was because zocdoc made an error (just like they made an error with what insurance the office accepts? Hmmm) She said the error was that zocdoc had me booked with a different dentist than the one who was available (wait... what? I dont even get to see the dentist i made an appt with?) I was so turned off by how quickly this became so complicated that I just said, "forget it"!!! I called another local, reputable dental center who said, "Sure your flat fee for the recement is ___ and everything else will be covered by insurance" so simple - like it should be!
