Dr. Lerch personally responded the same night after hours (while the competing office got back to me the following morning, asked all the same questions I had already answered in their online intake form, and then recommended I schedule an appointment in two weeks). She messaged to let me know they consider this an emergency and would prioritize it (it's very painful and hot/cold sensitive to have an exposed tooth with veneer missing). I was in her chair getting the veneer reattached the following day. Altogether it took less than 30 minutes. Admittedly, I came to Dr. Lerch's office with some quiet distrust of dental offices in general. However, I have since found that I can completely trust Dr. Lerch's office with the full scope of my dental care, and so I also recently decided to move forward with a lingual frenectomy that had been impacting my speech for decades but I kept avoiding. The procedure took minutes and was entirely painless. Lastly I'll add that what makes this place truly exceptional is that Dr. Lerch's care and standards are not limited to her. Every person I have spoken to in the office shares the same qualities, whether Robby, Rahisha, Karen, or anyone else. It's clear that Dr. Lerch's values shape who she hires, and it shows in every interaction. I am glad I found her office.

Bad review for Dr. Nocerino…read more I started coming to this office when Dr. Murphy owned the place when I was a child. After he retired, Dr. Nocerino took over and I didn't really have the same pleasant experiences I had previously. The atmosphere was just weird. I also had a minor cavity on the side of my tooth several years ago and had that filled by Dr. Nocerino. I went back to NY and months later it fell off...I went back to CT to have it fixed and it was fine...although...a couple years later I decided to switch to a NY based dentist as I was no longer living with my parents or under their insurance plan. I had an x ray the other week and they said my previous dentist (Dr. Nocerino) had accidentally drilled into my neighboring tooth that was completely fine...and I had to get my filling re-done on the side of my tooth because it wasn't done properly and was coming off. So years later this comes back to me and bites me in the butt and I'm obviously not happy...I had to pay $420 for this mistake...I now go to an all female staff dentist and they're so efficient and have the latest technology. On top of my experience, apparently this office has a lot of patients and my family makes an appointment waaaay in advance and the front desk always says "call morning of your appointment to make sure it's still ok to come in". They call and their appointments are cancelled. How fishy....When people make appointments, honor them....what is this selective favoritism whatever? What is this based on? Really sketchy.

The office was clean and up to date with the latest technology. The dental assistant was terrific! Dr. Kim was just phenomenal! I have terrible anxiety about going to the dentist and many dental issues due to chronic illness and neglect due to my anxiety. He made me feel 100% relaxed and came up with a comprehensive plan to address all my dental issues. He has advanced training and can do the cosmetic and restorative work I need unlike my last dentist who was an old school type dentist and unequipped to handle my needs. Finally I can get top notch care I need and want without the anxiety. I'm looking forward to getting my smile back after all these years, thank you Dr. Kim & your amazing staff!!!

I (like most people) dread the idea of oral surgery and was worried when my regular dentist explained that I would need to have two molars extracted due to a crown that was never quite right and caused the decay of the adjacent tooth. Long story short, my experience couldn't have been better. The staff was very friendly and understanding and the doctor did an amazing job. The teeth were removed and the recovery was virtually painless, even with just ibuprofen. I would certainly recommend Dr. Alkhatib and OSA in Fairfield.

First of all, the office was spotless. It was so clean and up to date with all COVID precautions. Tamika runs the front desk and she is friendly and professional. For my cleaning, Betsy was a pleasure. She gave such a thorough cleaning and fast with all of her X-rays. She is such a lovely person. Last but not least is Dr. Allie Kudish who gave the best exam. My partner had a filling/cap come out on a Friday night -- the second time this had happened. He called first thing Monday morning and explained that the tooth was extremely sensitive and that he was having difficulty eating. The receptionist told him they could squeeze him in on Tuesday, so he waited for that appointment rather than immediately seeking care elsewhere. Then, only two hours before his scheduled appointment on Tuesday, the office called to tell him that the doctor was completely booked and could no longer see him. Their solution was to offer him an appointment in the middle of the following week. That level of patient care is completely unacceptable to me. This was not a routine cleaning or something that could comfortably wait another week. His tooth was exposed, extremely sensitive, and painful enough that eating was difficult. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of concern, understanding, or effort to accommodate him after they were the ones who had already scheduled the appointment. He ultimately decided to switch dentists. His new dentist got him in and had the problem fixed within about 20 minutes. It is incredibly disappointing that a longtime dental office could not find a way to address a patient with an urgent issue -- particularly when the restoration had already failed twice. The last-minute cancellation, lack of urgency, and overall dismissive treatment of a patient in discomfort were awful. We expected much better care and basic consideration from a dental practice. After this experience, he will not be returning, and I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a responsive, accommodating dental office.
