She also explained everything that she was doing so I felt well-informed. She said to me that after my cleaning I would, "Feel like a million bucks," and I DO! My teeth look and feel beautiful! So clean and shiny. I'm really motivated now to keep them that way! I also had a consultation with Dr. Zaffetti. I didn't have any work done with him on this visit, but he was very friendly and informative and I felt like I was in good hands, getting the best advice on how to proceed with my dental care going forward. The front office staff are great, very friendly and professional. In fact, it was my initial phone call with Eileen that convinced me to make an appointment. We talked about my pain concerns and she told me about her own experience with the topical pain treatment that they use. She made me feel very at ease and confident about coming in. Gina is also great. After my cleaning, she told me about the Dentite plan that may save me money and help me pay for the work that I still need to have done. The only downside is that they do not accept HUSKY Insurance, which is what I have. So I will have to pay out of pocket. As a self-employed person, that's going to be really hard. I need some work done so the cost is going to set me back on other plans that I had, but I will do it because taking care of your teeth and gums is one of the most important things you can do. It impacts so much of the rest of your health. When you find dental care that you feel happy and confident about, you don't want to go anywhere else. They do accept other insurances, so if you don't have HUSKY, you should be fine.

I proactively sent my most recent dental x-rays over prior to my appointment, although the appointment I booked was for my annual dental cleaning. At the time of my appointment I was handed forms to fill out, one of them being a "$35 Oral Cancer Screening". During my appointment the Dentist looked over my recent x-rays and proceeded to order a full mouth set of x-rays. One would think a professional practice would check with a patient's insurance carrier to see if a complete imaging procedure would be covered or confirm whether the insurance carrier will allow it for the 2026 year- NOPE. The dental assistant who performed my cleaning then asked if I'd be interested in the oral cancer screening (you'd think this would be covered under a routine dental screening- not according to this practice.) They push it as if it's their monthly special. After my appointment I headed to the front desk where the receptionist quoted me $226.40 for a treatment plan. In the treatment plan the total fee equated to $680. The "estimated insurance coverage" was $453.60. I spoke with my insurance carrier after the visit to confirm coverage. 80% of each treatment code listed would be covered and I would be responsible for paying the remaining 20%. One code was not covered in its entirety but the office did not inform me- instead I was merely handed a treatment plan with an expectation that I would pay $226.40. Fast forward to a month or so later- I received a bill from Lighthouse Dental in the amount of $310, for what you may ask? The panoramic x-rays that were done without checking my insurance coverage. I received a call from Lighthouse Dental and I asked the receptionist "if I provided my most recent x-rays prior to my visit why were additional x-rays done?" She replied "all new patients need full x-rays." I questioned why the practice didn't check my insurance coverage or contact my previous Dentist for my last full x-rays if it was needed. She then said "well on the bright side you won't have to get it done again for 5 years" EXCUSE ME? To top it off, after speaking with the receptionist I asked to speak with an office manager- who took two weeks to return my call. I refuse to pay $310 due to Lighthouse Dental's negligence. The carelessness of this practice is appalling.

I have been going to Brush & Floss since I was 5 years old and today I drove from Brooklyn, NY to get my teeth looked at. I'll continue coming back to Brush and Floss for as long as their open. To take the imprint for my mouth guard, they took a 3D scan to then be printed. Their technology is not only updated but more advanced than any other of the numerous dental offices I have been in during the past year. Dentist fear, NO MORE!…read more I used to be deathly afraid of the dentist. No longer! Dr. Dejesus Dental Group made me feel right at home and squashed all my fears. The dentists are amazing and the staff is incredibly friendly. I have been suffering from TMJ problems for over 10 yrs. My jaw would click and even get stuck open! It was incredibly painful- until I saw Dr. Dejesus. After enduring extreme pain for years, there was a simple fix: an NTI. It's a small dental appliance that I wear during the night to stop grinding my teeth and sometimes during the day when I feel myself clenching my jaw. This wonderful, wonderful NTI has now caused my jaw to stop popping nearly altogether. I'm pain free!! I never thought that could happen! In addition, I have terrible (awful) anxiety. The dentist worked with me until I was no longer afraid and comfortable. They were very patient with me. I wore my headphones and just relaxed. I never thought that was possible. Bad review for Dr. Nocerino…read more I started coming to this office when Dr. Murphy owned the place when I was a child. After he retired, Dr. Nocerino took over and I didn't really have the same pleasant experiences I had previously. The atmosphere was just weird. I also had a minor cavity on the side of my tooth several years ago and had that filled by Dr. Nocerino. I went back to NY and months later it fell off...I went back to CT to have it fixed and it was fine...although...a couple years later I decided to switch to a NY based dentist as I was no longer living with my parents or under their insurance plan. I had an x ray the other week and they said my previous dentist (Dr. Nocerino) had accidentally drilled into my neighboring tooth that was completely fine...and I had to get my filling re-done on the side of my tooth because it wasn't done properly and was coming off. So years later this comes back to me and bites me in the butt and I'm obviously not happy...I had to pay $420 for this mistake...I now go to an all female staff dentist and they're so efficient and have the latest technology. On top of my experience, apparently this office has a lot of patients and my family makes an appointment waaaay in advance and the front desk always says "call morning of your appointment to make sure it's still ok to come in". They call and their appointments are cancelled. How fishy....When people make appointments, honor them....what is this selective favoritism whatever? What is this based on? Really sketchy.
