My delivery guys, Jack and Adam, were able to come earlier which was nice (love the text updates). Both were very professional, courteous, friendly and kept me informed through the install. They left my home, exactly as they came into it. They did an excellent service. In the world today, it's almost void of good customer service. Ordered a Electrolux washer and dryer. Truck accidentally hit the roof of my house when backing in, lifting it up. It was repaired in a timely manner. The dryer already has had a repair ( purchased in Jan/Feb 2024. ) waiting for parts for the washer now and there are two parts we also have to fix another dryer issue. Tried them again for my microwave/oven combo and refrigerator. Delivery was messed up as my husband took the day off and they said it was scheduled for the next day . They apologized for this miscommunication/scheduling issue. The delivery men were amazing. Communication not always the best. I have made frequent phone calls for different things. There was a period I was very frustrated. Jamie has worked with me even though she appears spread between a few stores. I asked them not to come and repair the Washer and dryer until all parts are in. The repair man has come in at least 3 different days that we were not scheduled so I am not sure how this lack of communication to him happens. 1/4/25- repairman shows up again without knowledge of an appointment scheduled. I call and speak to Todd the gentleman covering. He assures me that I confirmed an AI message that the delivery man was coming. He emails it to me. I received no messages on my phone. He states I could have blocked it, but doesn't have a number for me to check to see. Then he tells me I have another surprise repair scheduled for 1/15. Surprise! The repairman only has 3 Of the 4 washer parts since they didn't order the 4th. Also, he doesn't have the dryer parts since that surprise dryer repair was scheduled for 1/15. Wilson's Service Department is now rude and unreliable. I have had service from them for 10 years that was fine. This year they claim to have an automated response system. However, it does not actually work. When told this they are quite rude and unapologetic. I was charged $148 for a service call for a stove that they had serviced before and had records. I explained the problem. The service man came and confirmed the need for a part. He did not have the part in his truck. So I had to make another appointment for another $148 plus the cost of the part and any extra labor involved. Two weeks went by and no return appointment. When they did schedule an appointment the man didn't show up. I called to see if he was coming and got a rude woman who blamed it on the automated system. I would not use Wilson service again. read more

I have purchased a few appliances from this dealer over the last several years. Although their customer service and product knowledge is mediocre at best I preferred them to the box stores. Recently I contacted them to request service for a washing machine. I received no call back and got the feeling that they could care less to assist me. My advice is go somewhere else to buy an appliance and skip this dealer for service. I found another reputable dealer 25 to 30 minutes or so from Plattsburgh and they were terrific to deal with and provided impeccable service. Awful, terrible. Bought an appliance in June. Door didn't seal correctly. Numerous calls and got nothing but a run around. In October they tell us "good news" your parts are in. We go four months of a poorly operating appliance and they expect us to be happy the part is finally in. Will never do business with them again. Purchase a washer. Wanted a push and pull know one. Salesman talked me into one that has a push button panel. Warranty for 12 months. Washer broke down on the 13th month. Now thats with doing laundry once a week. They sent a service guy. That's 3 weeks after it broke. Called then and told them I don't have anymore clothes to wear. Service man says it's the panel needs a new mother board ( don't know if that was the name of the part). He had to ordered the part. Never heard from them. Then I got a bill from wilsons for service call. $ 139.00. I called them. They said Keith called you to you know the cost of the repair and they never heard back from me. I clearly stated no Keith ever called me. Ask him what would be the cost. He says $495.00 plus labor of $ 160.00 per hour . Could take 2 hours but dont think so. So i added up the $139.00plus $495. Plus $160.00 a hour. So it adds up to with just one hour if labor $794. I paid $800 for the washer. So $6.00 short the cost of the new one. I not so nicely told them to shove it. I had to purchase another washer. Found a gentleman that refurbished washers. He refurbished one that had a push and pull knobs. Bought one and it works perfectly. The one from Wilsons still sits in my laundry room. Cant give it away. No one wants it. So i will never ever do business with Wilson . Oh by the way. My sister bought the same washer as mine. Hers has been broken since the end of January. Still no working washer. She was lucky it was in her 11th month of warranty. Cost covered. She needs to go to the laundromats. I read all of the reviews. Some were surprisingly good. Some had some similar issues that I have. I bought my refrigerator from Wilson's Appliance on route 3 in Plattsburgh, NY in May of 2021. Everything was going good up until July of 2023. fast forward until now. I started having issues with my cooling system. My food was freezing. depending on where it was. But was was experiencing it on several areas. It didn't matter what shelf it was on. They came out 12 times. six times to test it and order whatever part that they ordered. Six times to put the part in my refrigerator. After so many times, I finally asked Steve and Jason since when can we start talking about a replacement? That was in July. Well I wasn't getting anywhere with them. I tried calling them and no one would answer. I left messages and no one would return my message. So, my dad and I both went in to see what we could do. We went to the parts and service area. I'm deaf and my dad has moderate hearing loss. I asked if someone could help me out regarding why no one is returning my messages? I also asked if there was anyone who oversaw this department. That lady raised both of her arms, but never turned to look my way. I'm dear remember. She stayed looking at her computer. Okay, I'm going to make this long story a bit shorter. My fingers are cramping up. Between no one showing up for an appointment, no one returning my calls. I finally was fed up. I filed the complaint online on the Attorney Generals office. I brought copies of what I had. I received a phone call from Nathan from Wilson's Appliance from Plattsburgh, NY. He asked if I could go into the store the next day at 2 pm. My dad and I went in. He offered me on replacement with a GE and it would have cost me more. Or I could take the refund. My dad said he would go to the bank to get the $500. We talked and I didn't want to have to pay more for a refrigerator. I went in the following morning and said that I didn't want the GE that he was offering and would take the refund instead. For a business of any kind to treat their customers like that is a shame!!! And you wonder why people don't want to buy from small businesses? I know that all of them are not like this one is. I'm sorry if I offended any of the other businesses. I had numerous conversations with their sales employee, AJ, who never was clear about rebate offers and programs. To make matters worse, they damaged a part on the stove when they installed and will not deliver it to me. Bought a new Electrolux washer last summer and it has been a lemon from day one. After 3 service calls and 2 repairs it is unusable, but Wilson's will not replace it, insisting it's up to Electrolux. I bought the machine from Wilson's, not Electrolux. The service technician was wonderful and did his best, but Wilson's customer service is very poor. She did not want to get off her chair to assist me so she answered the phone that rang after I got there. I had a problem getting authorized service in Lake Placid, NY for my Samsung refrigerator which has had an ongoing freezing problem. Wilson Appliances in Plattsburgh NY, who sold us other appliances, came to the rescue and sent a technician to our home to relieve the problem. They were kind enough to waive the charge for service though they don't ordinarily do Samsung refrigerator repairs. Very pleased with their reaching out to us. read more

The worst experience of my life..We bought a new washing machine delivered and set up by Wilson's was told it was fine because it had water and would start a cycle. However the washer would stop in the middle of a cycle and not finish. The owner told me to get it fixed.as they do not service samsung. Its a brand new.washer zand should work. Preys on Senior Citizens. I'm all for supporting local businesses but not this one. My elderly mother called Wilson's to replace a burner on a stove she bought from them 25 years ago. The tech they sent was incompetent and burned out two more burners by wiring them wrong. They then charged her $480 to replace three burners and it took them two months to do it. She had a similar experience last year with a washer and dryer. I want her to take them to small claims court but she is afraid of them. My parents bought all their appliances from Wilsons for years because my father was a friend of Mike Wilson. Sadly, it is no longer a reputable business. After asking around my friends and co-workers, I was sorry to hear that my mother is one of many seniors who have been ripped off. Please don't support this despicable company. read more

I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer from wilson appliance plattsburgh. Wilson delivered and installed the units. From day one the washer will not complete a full wash cycle. Wilson policy is once installed (plug-in and water hooked up) you own it period. Being made aware that they do not service samsung I agreed to purchase products. However being brand new am I asking to much to at least have it run when installed? It did not break down and need service it was installed broken down. Wilson says not my problem get it fixed but not by us. Electronics hospital Burlington Vt. services samsung they come to plattsburgh on tues. and thur. only. After 2 attempt at repair still not running. Frustration setting in. Bought and installed on July 9, 2016. it is now July 25. Today I will call NYS atty general fraud div., Plattsburgh BBB, credit card to dispute charges and Press Republican to see if they would like to do a story. I will not get over this soon and will continue to tell anyone who will listen this horror story. All I am asking for is to get what I paid for a new unrepaired fully functional washer. I purchased an item from them, it was never used and I had the receipt. When I called to return it I was told NO, they would not accept it back even though it hadn't been used! That's their POLICY.
