Like many diesels I had an issue with my truck going through the DPF regeneration cycles too often, about every 50 miles. They tell me it's my aftermarket air filter, I mention I have been using it for four years without issue, but they make me buy a new one. Didn't change anything. Then they tell me it's a sensor and made me buy a new one. Didn't fix anything. I have a GPS on my truck that I can track with my phone, they then took my truck for quite a long joy ride because apparently they didn't believe the documented photos I showed them of how often it regenerates. They couldn't get it to kick in so they tell me nothing is wrong with it. This place is a joke! Bring your truck elsewhere. Not to mention just because I bring my truck to a shop does not mean I want to be on their mailing list. I have been trying for two years to get off it. They seem incapable of doing that. read more

Long story short: Do not bring your car here. Even if you have an appointment scheduled they probably won't look at your car to diagnose your problem even if your car is there for days. It does not matter how far out you schedule your car will not get seen. Long story: I scheduled an appointment with them more than a month out to get something fixed and when my appointment finally came around yesterday and I dropped it off at 7:00am, they did not call me for the rest of the day. I called them and they asked if they could keep it until tomorrow because they had not looked at it yet. I said they could keep it until 11:00 but I needed my car after that. By the time 10:30 rolled around I still had heard nothing so I called again and they asked if they could keep it longer. I reluctantly agreed. Finally, hours later, they call to tell me that I would have to bring my car in another time to even get the problem diagnosed. They lost my business at that point. So I'm looking into other places. They're great when you're purchasing, but when it comes to repairs even though we've always bought the extended warranty, they take their time repairing even though they know we have to have the vehicle for our business. My daughter's car had been in storage for 3 months due to the pandemic. She flew back to Oregon last night and found it would not start. On 10/17/2019 I purchased a used 2008 Chevy Uplander cargo van from wilson motors. I normally don't buy from dealers however I read the advertisement on line. I worked with Lou M who was a very nice sales rep, we made the deal and drove home to Lebanon. After two days and less then 75 total miles driven the "Check Engine" light came on, the speedometer stopped working and the automatic transmission was stuck in 3rd gear. I was going to be out of town for one week but called Lou. His response was to call when I returned home and he would works things out with me. We arranged a call the following Tuesday. I called and Lou reminded me that I bought the van "As Is", it passed all safety and there was "Nothing" they could do for me. I then called and talked to Tom, "The Manager" and he said the same then as Lou. I bought "As Is" and reminded me that I had no warranty, basically the "30/30 Guarantee", ie 30 seconds or 30 feet whichever came first. I told Tom how disappointed I was with "Wilson's Customer Service". I felt Wilson could have at least offered to have a mechanic look at the van, figure out the problem and help by discounting costs giving me some sort of break even though I had to pay for repairs. I think I would have walked away feeling a litter better. Tom's comment was "were a ford dealership, not chevy". So the van is still sitting in the carport waiting for repairs/parts. So I recently purchased a used vehicle somewhere other than Wilson and needed to aquire a second smart key but in order to do that i needed a key code and PIN. Called the parts department and was advised that unless i have them program my key they wouldnt release the code and PIN to me (their cost for material and programming 3x what I can achieve elsewhere). I was willing to come in with my invoice for the vehicle and drivers license. I can't get this informatioin elsewhere other than another RAM dealer. It's a RAM truck and they are the local dealers. I took my Toyota Highlander Hybrid here for repairs after I got rear ended. The shop manager, Jay, was honest, thorough, and couldn't have been more helpful. He handled everything with the other party's insurance company, which was a big relief to me! They even coordinated my rental with a competitor (the insurance wouldn't cover a rental from Wilson). Even the cashier went out of her way and provided great service. Overall, they did what they said they were going to do and then some. read more

My review is from an experience I had in late 2011 with this company -- I have not had a Yelp account to post this review sooner. I went to Wilson Motors to trade in a newer compact car for an older SUV because my family needs had changed. I was seduced by a "great deal" and assured that the vehicle that I was getting was mechanically sound. Normally I would take a vehicle to a 3rd party mechanic for a pre-buy inspection, but this time I was assured by the sales rep that this vehicle was sound. Alas, I purchased the vehicle and relocated to Portland less than a month later. Come to find out soon thereafter that the vehicle had serious mechanical issues from a Portland mechanic that I have known for over a decade (so I trust him). The vehicle needed over $2500 worth of work! I felt like I had been lied to by a salesman who was eager to move an old SUV off his lot and replace it with my newer compact that he was going to sell at quite a profit. This advice would apply to most car dealerships but especially to Wilson motors. Do not believe one word that comes out of the sales person's mouth. Only believe what is printed on all of the documents that you sign when you purchase a car. The sales person we worked with reassured us that some of the forms were "just a formality" and that they would fix any problems with the car. Honestly we didn't believe that when he said it, but we did test it out just for kicks. What we found is that Wilson will also have you sign documents that they will not give you copies of, then they will gleefully pull that document out of the file and read it to you. This fall our pickup has spent close to 9 weeks in the hands of Wilson Motors. 4 of those were waiting on parts, but the others were due to their lack of urgency, or care for the needs of their customer. We purchased two a new vehicles from Wilson in 2017. Our Dodge EcoDiesel pickup needed to go in for a parts recall. We waited on the list like many others for the recall parts to come in. Once the pickup had been "fixed" from the recall we noticed that it wasn't running well. We were told it could have been caused by damage prior to the recall part being fixed and called Wilson service department with our concerns. They brushed it off and told us It could not have been related. We finally got them to take a look and they discovered that it likely was what we thought, damage from the recalled part not working as it should. In attempting to clear the code from the truck they pushed the engine and it blew up, was a total waste. Luckily it was still covered under the factory warrantee and could be fixed. We waited 4 weeks for the engine to come in. Without regular calls to Wilson we would have received zero communication about the status of our vehicle. I will openly admit that waiting on parts in not their fault, that is a challenge many dealerships and shops are facing right now. Where I do place blame on them, is telling us it would be a priority, and then waiting a week and a half after the engine arrived to even look at our pickup again. When asked how this happened the manager said he was unaware that his shop was working on other projects. After we got the pickup back the check engine light was still on. We called and were told it was unrelated. It had a brand new engine, how could the check engine light be "unrelated?" When we finally got them to look at our vehicle they told us that it would cost $2,800 to get it fixed. When we told them this was unacceptable. They told us the would work with Chrysler to see what they could do. Now they simply will not return our calls. They still have our $40,000+ pickup, but apparently not the time to get back to us? We have tried to be kind and respectful to them and their staff through this entire ordeal. We have two cars for a reason, we both work, and have had to put a burden on our family and friends to weather this storm caused but the product the sell and back. I can honestly say once I get our pickup back from their shop, I will never purchase from them again. I will also never buy another Dodge or Chrysler vehicle. This has been an extremely trying experience made more challenging by their lack of response or concern for their customers. read more

I took my jeep to them and told them that I smell oil after running for a while and I could hear clanking when driving near a barrier (where the sound bounces back). 1st time, "sorry ma'am, we can't find anything wrong with it. 2nd time "sorry ma'am, we can't find anything wrong with it. By this time, there is no mistaking the sound the jeep is making, the way it smells and how it's running. 3rd time " oh, my ma'am, you have a serious oil leak" Are you freaking serious? YOU THINK!? They had to take out my entire engine and transmission to repair this leak and replace gaskets. At that time, I was packing up and getting ready to move all of my belongings and myself to Las Vegas, so I only had so much time to get this %$&% done. They had it for over a week and gave it back to me the day I was leaving. I loaded the car on the dolly behind my 26ft truck and off I went. Five days later in Las Vegas, what happens... Yep, you got it, the car breaks down completely and leaves me stranded on the side of the freeway. Mind you, I didn't drive it to Las Vegas, I hauled it. THANK GOD! I took it to the dealership here and THE FIRST TIME, they said it was a bad battery cable. I can't imagine how that happened overnight but the bigger issue is that both of my motor mounts are now cracked. This jeep only has 46,000 miles and it's just a bottom of the line patriot. I don't go off roading or anything. I called the dealership in Corvallis and asked how this could have happened and if they didn't do it then why wouldn't they inform me of this? They said I would get a call back and when I didn't, I called back and asked for the service manager which of course I had to leave a message. To this day, still nothing. I don't want to name names because the people up front don't have any control over the mechanics in back. I do however think they need to take a look at their mechanics and management! By ignoring a situation, doesn't make it go away! I have been consulting with an attorney and you will hear from him soon. . A return phone call from your company would have gone a long way! And by the way, my car is in the shop for the 3rd time since I've been here and I've only been here for 45 days.. 1st bad negative battery cable. 2nd something about a manifold 3rd, power steering fluid leak. I have had two separate situations in dealing with the sales group at the Dodge side, multiple with their service department, and multiple with their Rental Car. The sales side is great, they can sell you a car, they are courteous and friendly and let you take the keys for a drive, no hassle. However once you get to the financing part I have had to to deal with this two times now. They don't fully pay off my trade in, isn't that great?! I just got a notice form my old finance company today that my vehicle still has a balance. Are you freaking kidding me, twice in a row??? I cannot believe that both dealings in buying a car from them they have failed to pay off the full balance. The service side not so much, I had a brand new 2015 chrysler 200s that had maybe 90 miles on it when I bought it. It shifted rough and jerked me around, even left me stranded in the middle of the road! I had it in multiple times to which they could not reproduce the issue. Of course no one can, it was extremely frustrating. Then when they did work on the transmission they left blocks of wood, yes BLOCKS OF WOOD inside the engine bay, when I picked up the car it was making horrible noises and vibrating. I took it right back, the next day they called and said come pick it up, I asked what was wrong? They would not tell me, I had to force them to tell me this. I escalated it to Chrysler FCC to which ultimately since the dealer couldn't "reproduce the issue" got dropped and I was told to pickup the car. The mechanic even repeatedly told me that these cars are notorious for these issues and it is a crappy transmission. Needless to say I was not pleased, also ever time I got the car back there were papers left inside, the outside wasn't cleaned because they don't clean "black" cars. Seriously?!?! I asked to talk to multiple managers whom I did get to talk to the Dodge Manager whom never called me back, thanks for the service there! Lastly the Rental Car department, if you want the best customer experience go here. Kristy will take care of you and always have a smile on her face. I was so upset with managers not returning my calls and being blown off by the service department I only talked to her. Maybe she should be a manager at Wilson Motors because she knows what customer service is! Thank you Kristy you were the only shining star out of everyone at Wilson Motors! I was in a very tough bind as I just graduated from OSU and intended to drive my trash 4Runner home to California to sell, but was snowed in last-minute and had to do whatever I could to get it sold in Corvallis for as much as possible. I went to Tom, who was extremely helpful and straightforward with me. He helped me get my car sold for a reasonable price and put money in my hand less than 24 hours after my decision to sell. Took my truck in on a scheduled appointment for a diagnostic to be run to troubleshoot engine code and took a week for them to even bring it in the shop to be diagnosed(week from the scheduled appointment date; also, brought it in at 0700 when they opened to afford more time). After they finally diagnosed the problem they waited another day to call me with the diagnosis of my code. After calling multiple times every day for that week, they finally ordered the parts which got there over night but took another few days for an 8 hour install. After waiting about a week and a half after my appointment they tried telling me I didn't have coverage which I had to further prove I had, after already giving policy number and they had to have had in order to start work in the first place. After receipt was exchanged spoke to maintenance manager to explain what had happened and he didn't seem to care that his technicians were taking their sweet time and making a customer wait more than a week for a few day job tops. Over all experience was beyond frustrating and unnecessarily long. Couldn't be more dissatisfied if they made me do it myself. Probably would be gotten done faster. Do not recommend anyone take their vehicle to Corvallis Ford if they have any hopes of efficient maintenance repairs or anything being done in timely manner or with any professionalism. No care was taken to get my truck back to me and wasn't made a priority by my appointment. Worst experience I've ever had with Ford dealer. Will never waste time there again. read more

We recently purchased a new Jeep Cherokee from Wilson Motors. This is one of many cars we have purchased from Wilson over the years. The last 2 purchases have been the easiest, fairest and yes enjoyable. Bob Torbet has made these last 2 new car buys easy and pleasurable. With the Jeep, we had done our homework and knew exactly what we wanted/needed. We stopped by to actually test drive one and luckily Bob was working that day. We loved the car and told Bob what exactly we wanted. He had one located and on the lot within 1 business working day. The wheeling and dealing of trading in our other car was quick, easy and more than fair. This is also what we experienced last time. Going in to sign the paperwork took less than ten minutes and we were driving away in the new Cherokee. We will be back when it's time for another news car. I will start by saying Brian in the service department was very nice, friendly and as helpful as he could be and I do appreciate that. As for the service department as a whole, I am disappointed in. I took my Dodge there on 8/14 with complaints of an electrical wig-out. All indicator lights would turn on, speedometer and gauges stopped working and the wipers would kick on. This only happened periodically, and I told them that, but since it wouldn't do it while it was in their hands, nothing was done and I picked up my car. My husband needed to go to central Oregon and I was told it was safe to take the Dodge over the pass. Half way there (up in the mountains) my husband smelled a burning oil smell and there was blue smoke shooting out of the exhaust. It did stop and he safely made it to Bend. On the way home, the electrical "wig-out" happened and the air conditioning shut off. I immediately took it back with the new complaints. They were able to find a coolant leak and repaired it (covered under warranty) but since the dodge didn't act up again with the other complaints (which I find to be serious), they didn't find anything wrong so nothing else was fixed after having my car for 2 more weeks. We payed them $300 only to bring it home with a very pungent burnt oil smell possibly coming from the vents. I'm conflicted now. They said they would refund my money if they needed to repair something, and clearly something is wrong, but I don't want to pay another $114 an hour to find nothing again. read more

If I could have given them no stars, I would have. On March 29, 2018, I purchased a used Mazda CX7 from Wilson Motors. While the salesperson was helpful and knowledgeable, the rest of the experience was unprofessional in my opinion. I was told that I would get my title, (as I paid cash), in a few weeks. The weeks pass, and nothing. Finally in rolls a letter telling me that they were having to get a replacement title, and it would be another 6 weeks. So, you sell cars to which you have no clear title, without advising the customer of this????? Even if they HAD told me there was a title issue, I would have purchased the car, but to say nothing??? So, today, June 13, 2018...almost 3 months later, I finally got my title...thanks alot. I've had other issues with Wilson Motors due to their terrible service in a purchase my daughter made in 2012 of a new Focus. Her car is now part of a class-action suit against Ford for the transmission failures in this car model. Wilson would never do anything other than offer to, "re-teach", the car's tranny with some little electronic gadget. They'd say it was fixed...and I'd drive out of the dealership lot with the car still jerking all over the place. The car is now undriveable due to the dangers associated with this tranny problem. Not to mention the $ 159.00 (approx), to replace a headlight, because they had to take the bumper off (per service manager), due to the bracing in the engine compartment. This was totally untrue...watched a YouTube video and learned how to change the headlight without having to remove anything, (especially a bumper), except the dead lightbulb. On the Focus issues...I must advise that my daughter NEVER heard a word from Wilson Motors on what they might be able to do to help her...it was at their Repair garage at least 10 times on the tranny issues, which were never resolved. You would have thought that perhaps they'd have thought to offer her some kind of help...and she'd been thinking about moving up to a Fusion. If they'd have offered one iota of help, she might still be a Ford customer...as it stands now, she's soon going to buy a Mazda CX5. If you decide to purchase a used car from them, I'd sure ask the question before I plunk down my hard earned money...:"ummm, the title is CLEAR, isn't it??". The fellow who does their financing paperwork could stand a little help with his attitude...very unfriendly, and barely polite. I consider myself lucky...I got a great car. I have complained to the DMV about this...I hope Wilson gets more than a slap on the wrist. We're an old time Ford family...with the Focus issues, and now this abysmal treatment on the purchase of the Mazda, I will never buy anything from them again, and will advise friends not to either. They really blew it...they could have had life-long customers from our family...and we've got 6 kids who'd have been customers too...not now, and not EVER! read more

Or 'forgetting' to adjust valves to proper tension during a tune-up that results in the entire engine being destroyed, then 'losing' the records of their service (keep all receipts). They give amazing service, however if you want top notch, do anything for you, make you the best deal and never BS you service, buy from Dave Niskanen. This guy is the nicest car dealer you will ever meet. Seriously, he doesn't give you lines, try to wow you, or pressure you to buy now. He's amazing. Even after you buy your car he still looks out for you. Just today I went in to get a new key for my car and he got me two keys and a remote for free. Yes, FREE. All he asked was that I say great stuff about him and send people his way. The guy is amazing and looks out for his customers like they're family. He's not happy with your car deal until you're happy. He actually said to my dad when he bought his 2011 F-350 "What do you want to pay? I don't care about what the finance guys say, what number will get you to walk out of here with the truck you love?" My dad told him and we had the truck that afternoon for $5,000 below the sticker price, plus they gave us a great deal on our trade in. I've been to lots of dealerships and nothing compares to Wilson. I would buy any car from Dave and know that he wouldn't sell me a lemon or make me a bad car deal. He will be straight up with you and tell you if he thinks that you'd pay too much for a car out on the lot. Lots of dealer will lie to you, but Dave is seriously about people first, money second. read more

I definitely would not recommend their service center. I have had two bad experiences here. The first time, I had them check my transmission because the warning light came on for the transmission. They told me it was just the sensor. I went and got a second opinion and the transmission ended up being bad. They still made me pay for the tests they did and made a bunch of excuses. The second experience I had was getting a bumper replaced. They told me it would take two days. I called to see if it was ready and they said they had to order more parts. They didn't call to tell me I wouldn't get my car back, so I had to scramble and figure out how to deal with not having a car for another day. Would have been nice to get a call telling me that. I guess shame on me for giving them a second chance. I won't give them a third. read more

Not only did the sales person that I bought the car from not return my phone calls when stuff started to go wrong, but they did all of the paper work wrong with the DMV! I go my 2011 rubicon and drove away feeling pretty good. The service department is terrible though.i have had my door fixed 3 times for a leak and driverside once. They are far from cutious or convienant. Took 3-1/2 hours for an oil change. Put 10k down and traded a different jeep in worth 16k. And some how 6months after I bought this jeep I still owe more then they value it at. I look forward to never stepping into that service department again. Thank goodness they couldn't do the job, because we couldn't get our car on the rack ,What!!!/ But anyways one of the guys in the front office was very rude, and I will never do business with this place again. The truck is great. Exactly what we wanted. The financing is not great. We had driven 40 miles because they had the exact truck my husband was looking for. We had to do this on a Saturday late afternoon since they are only open until 6pm on the weekdays and we could not make it up to Corvallis before they closed. We asked them to go through our credit union, or any credit union. According to my credit union they did not even try. They came back to us with a 5.99% interest rate from Wells Fargo. With our credit scores we should have been around 3%. I told them that the percentage rate was too high and that I do not want to do business with Wells Fargo. They said it was the best we were going to get. I told him that I will just refinance and the salesman told me I had to wait 30 days. I am assuming that is when Wells Fargo gives a bonus or a kickback of some form. I felt a little odd when he seemed shocked that I did not like the percentage rate and that I did not want to do business with Wells Fargo. He said that Wilson has a great working relationship with Wells Fargo. Also we were not offered GAP insurance. Today I went to my credit union to see if I could refinance prior to the 30 days. Their service department is a total ripoff. My daughter went there last December because she needed a new alternator, and they refused to do the work unless she paid them an hour's labor to "diagnose" the problem, which we, and Les Schwab tires had already done. Bought her a used Expedition this year, and it needed a headlight lamp. Brought her to my local Ford dealer, and they were going to install in for a half hours' labor...but found out the part was a special order and it would take a few days to get. She had to get back to Corvallis for school, so we had the part ordered and sent to Wilson Motors. THEY CHARGED ME 2 HOURS' LABOR-$184.00 to install a part that not only MY ford dealer was going to charge considerably less to install, but the DIY video on YOU-TUBE was 8 MINUTES LONG!!!! Longer story short, it took me more than a month to get half the labor charge back from the service manager...and 4 phone calls. THESE GUYS ARE CROOKS. read more
