went here for a regular 6 month visit, cleaning. they insisted on xrays even though I didn't want them and had them not long ago. the xray schedule has changed and aren't needed as often as dentists insist. they aren't healthful to have unnecessarly.
before the cleaning I noticed the tools on the tray had material/rust/gunk etc on them. It was even on the towel they were on. It looked disgusting and unsafe. I inquired and the hygenist said it was normal, from the cleaning process, that it was rust and totally safe. I asked several other dentist and they said it wasn't normal and that they wouldn't go there. and that it was rust and old particles from cleaning (OTHER PEOPLE'S) teeth.
also the hygenist put on gloves and then was going in and out of the room doing whatever and never changing her gloves. if you leave the room or touch anything other than the patient- put on NEW gloves!!!! I find medical professionals very laxed in proper hygiene, patient health, cross contamination etc.. Patients need to pay attention to this and demand that the "professional" wash their hands and put on clean gloves. (there is no benefit to putting on gloves unless you wash your hand first! there is no way to put on gloves without handling them). Speak up for your health and everyone elses.
should have left when I got there, wasn't for me. everything was old/dated, they don't use digital xrays, and the disgusting crap on the tools and not changing gloves. GROSS! read more
