For example, the tags on the retail purses are made out of gold metal, and the ones on the outlet purses are paper. Though the retail purses are full price, whatever store wide sale that is going on applies to them. So I ended up buying the Christy purse which was regular price around 400 and I got it for half of that. The outlet stuff was cute as well and about half the price. There was another purse I was considering getting, but when you compare the two there is a noticeable difference. Everyone there was extremely helpful and patient with me as I tried to make my decision!

I was looking for a new Vibram heel cap for my boots, he did not have the proper size and it wasn't Vibram. His solution was to add move leather to the heel and then put on a more shallow heel cap. This would be an OK solution, however it would end up costing me TWICE what new heel caps would (about $25). Again, I empathize with the shop owner but I don't want to pay double because he doesn't have sufficient inventory of shoe repair parts. He seemed like a very nice guy that was eager to please, but again I can't pay double the price because he is a nice guy.

If I wasn't satisfied, they would send someone out to fix it for free. I called to set up the second appointment, supposedly in the warranty, and it was made for a few days later. Not only did no one show up, nobody returned any of my 20 calls asking about what happened. Do not use this company; the work is shoddy and their business practices unethical.

I felt bad about this and understood the initial problem with showing up. I then asked if he could come the next day and he said he would at 10 am which relieved me. But the next day not only did he not show up but after 6 phone calls and a call from my business manager and several text messages, no answer and no reply. I would not recommend this company to anyone that wants to get work done on time. I had to deliver the bus incomplete and am researching for an upholstery repair place in NC now since it didn't get done here.

I vividly remember being that kid at that age and how much riding my bike all the way across the town I lived in to go to the local guitar shop on a Saturday just to be in a world that gave me a sense of belonging for a few hours meant to me. Honestly, it was sustaining in a time that felt hopeless. Reason I mention this is because my wife and I stopped into Jack's a couple weeks ago and I was taken right back to that experience and I was left not only impressed with how well virtually every guitar I picked up played, but by how supportive, encouraging and kind the owner was when just such a kid was in the shop with her dad, excitedly talking about sci-fi books with him. Honestly, he was just great. When the kid and their father left the store, there was a bit of a pause and the owner said to his partner/wife "What a smart kid!". This little interaction I happened upon made me a fan for life of this store and I just wanted to share. I was that kid many years ago and I can tell you for certain that the kind of kindness and encouragement the owner offered makes a huuuuge difference in what can be a difficult period. There are other things I could mention, like how the set up on nearly every acoustic guitar they had rivalled a Taylor fresh off the rack at Gruhn's. Or how rare it is to find such a great collection of under-the-radar gems and hand made local luthier boutique in one shop. But none of that floored me the way witnessing the owner's interaction with a fellow sci-fi fan did. These are good people.
