They apparently didn't tighten my lug nuts properly. I was already in rural northern Wisconsin, about 300 miles from home by the time I started hearing a terrible noise. It was 10:30 at night and no shops along the way were open. As a result, I tried to "limp" into a larger town to have a repair shop take a look the next morning. I got into Iron Mountain, MI, about 5 miles from my destination which was back across the state line into Wisconsin, when the tire came off. It was 11:30 at night, in the middle of town, with no local shops or roadside assistance to come get me. The tire tore up the rear of my vehicle causing extensive damage. It was obvious that I needed a local shop to access the damage and do repairs on my vehicle. When I finally got a tow truck to come, he towed me to the local dealer. The next morning, the dealer called to say that due to the pandemic they were very short of workers in their service department and that they'd likely not be able to touch my vehicle for another two weeks. I called my insurance company and they found a local Gerber shop in Kingsford MI, about 5 miles away. Gerber came and picked up my vehicle and towed it to their shop. Once there, they began evaluating my damage immediately. Through out the long arduous process of estimates and repairs, everyone there was excellent to work with. Brad kept me in the loop with status updates every couple of days, while he worked my insurance company to process my claim. A side issue that I'd never thought of was that being stuck in a small town meant very few, in fact no, rental cars being available. Again, because of the pandemic. Brad arranged for a loaner from Enterprise that came from about 100 miles away and it worked out great. But, I had my dog with me and I couldn't take her in the rental, per the agreement, so I was still "stuck" away from home for 30 days while the repairs were approved and finally made. Once I got my vehicle back, Brad said he double checked my other 3 wheels and found that all three locking lug nuts were loose. The dealer must not have tightened those with the special key after the rotation. Since picking up my car, I've been very satisfied with how it's driven and the work Gerber did. It looked and drove like a brand new vehicle. I'd highly recommend Gerber to anyone. Great job guys. And, thank you, again.

My car could not be towed and needed to be flat bedded to a local body/repair shop. Wade Edward's was on the scene 10 minutes after receiving my roadside assistance call. The second occurrence was with the rental car I had to replace my car, which had a tire blow out. After waiting in the phone for almost a hour and a half with the rental company's roadside assistance, never speaking to a human being, I decided to hang up and just call Wade. Once again, Wade came out to give to change my tire within 15 minutes of my call. He was great to work with in both instances. The first night, he took the time to help me and my dog, who was riding with me in my car, get to our local destination by around midnight. As for the tire blow out, when he realized it was on a rental and that I would be responsible for the repairs, he invited me to come into his dealership to have his team see if the tire could be repaired at no charge. Unfortunately, I ended up needing to replace a rental car tire but his staff took great care of me. Awesome experience. While I'm not certain of this, I suspect they gave me the "Friends and Family" discount. I really appreciate all his and his team's help. I'm a long way from home and it was nice to meet some people who are just good people and cared about me/us. If I was in the market for a new car, I would be very confident in giving him and Edward's Automotive my business. Maybe I will anyway.

If I had known that it was going to look so good when we picked it up I might have had a used car sales ad ready to post to reflect the increased value. There are several reasons for an excellent rating. The detail of the work was highly professional, and my wife expressed it best when she looked over the exterior and then as we drove home when she looked closely at the interior. Her statement said at all: "It's obvious that the people at Lafayette Collision take pride in their work." Our experience from start to finish was exceptional, and there was no complaint to be made at any time. In this instance the owner, Nick, always was involved from our first meeting to get the estimate up until we got the keys back and departed. I make it a point to try to get three estimates for any major job that I have to have done. When I got the third estimate, I saw that the others were higher and, in conjunction with talking to the employees, I got the distinct impression that things were being padded. So naturally for the sake of my insurance company and my future rates, I went with LC as the one that gave me the best price and confidence that the job would be done correctly. Another plus is that during the week that Lafayette Collision had the car, we received emails about the status of the work and the expected date of return as was originally promised. The customer service also included a personal response by phone from Nick to an inquiry that I had left on voice mail. I would say that such service is a rarity in this day and age. So for those of you who like a company that knows what it is, I think this information would help you to decide if you're ever having to get car damage repaired. BTW, Nick threw a little freebie in for us with regard to a window chip that we did not expect but greatly appreciated. It's that type of consideration that gets people to return in the future when the service is needed as well as make legitimate referrals.
