Wilson is a real gem in the Phoenix valley. Film labs are becoming increasingly rare, so I'm very glad that we have access to this joint. When I resurrected my love of film photography, I was initially planning on developing by film via a mail-in situation found online. However, I was deterred as those options often take several weeks or more to develop film. I have used Wilson dozens of times and my film has always been processed in a matter of days--sometimes as quickly as day of during slower days. I find their prices to be fair. In addition to developing film, Wilson also sells film (including super hard to find 110 film for my Kodak Ektralite!!) and refurbished cameras. read more

I went to Wilson to get my 4 disposable film cameras developed. I tried to go to Walmart in Scottsdale but they don't do it anymore. I could have gone to CVS or something but I just wanted to get this done easily and ASAP. Wilson popped up as being nearby so I decided to give it a shot. The funny thing is I expected this to be a deserted one-man show with an old guy running the place (I guess I was thinking of jewelry repair places?). Anyway, when I walked in, this place was far from deserted and the man at the counter was about 30 lol. I had entered hipster paradise (and it was air conditioned!). There were a few other young people in there too. The woman ahead of me in line was trying to get her grandfather's camera fixed. Her and the man behind the counter were having a pretty technical conversation about lenses, etc. When it was my time to shine, I was a feeling a little shy because I'm not a photographer. The guy put me at ease right away and helped me with my cameras. The only reason I have to give this a 4 instead of 5 stars is because the price was quite exorbitant, at least for me who is not a photographer. I vowed to myself that I would no longer get disposable cameras anymore because they are too expensive. I had 4 cameras and they charged me $130 in total. $40 for the prints and $80 for the scans. The man did persuade me into getting the premium prints but honestly I wasn't able to tell the difference and I regret paying extra. The scans came pretty quickly to my email (a few days to a week after) and were easy to download. I went 2-3 weeks later to pick up the prints. If I was a photographer I would probably love this place. read more

Out of all the photo labs in Phoenix this is by far the best! This place is not only really professional but everyone at this location is incredibly friendly and helpful. I love getting my 35mm developed here and it always comes out looking amazing. I've tried other camera shops and they always develop the film weird or sending scans that look bad. I one had my film scanned and developed somewhere else and it came out looking bad. I brought it to them and they were able to print out some gorgeous looking shots! Ever since then I knew this was the only spot I would ever take my film. I've never had problems with Wilson and will continue to come here for as long as they're open. read more

On going saga of 3 years of bad service, gas lighting, rude ownership, terrible value to dollar ratio, and the selection of film/cameras is overly high for the quality. First mishap they lost two of my 35mm rolls of film. No compensation just a sorry we don't know what happened. I understand things and mistakes happen in a film lab or any business. Two weeks of asking for scans and negatives in this instance, keep note because this will be an on going them. Second mishap, this time it was over two weeks of reaching out for updates since dropping off rolls of E6 and black and white. Called multiple times and messaged them on IG as shown in the pictures to finally get an answer if we screwed up your rolls but we're going to drag it out as long as possible. Third mishap, paid for high resolution scans but received medium. Got told to chill because I was simply asking what I paid for nothing more nothing less and not in an aggressive manor. Mind you during all of these it's taking weeks to get rolls back while people I know are taking rolls in for the same service and getting them back in a few days. Final straw was reaching out directly to the owner as shown in the last picture voicing my frustrations after sending a lot of rolls there, followed with being told I'm a trip. If I could give zero stars I would but that's unfortunately not an option. These are direct screenshots of messages between the business account and the owners account. By all means if you have film to get developed, scanned or need film cameras/accessories look elsewhere. read more

In college, I worked for a small camera shop and enjoyed every second of it. Stepping into Wilson Camera brought back all those wonderful memories. I've been on the hunt for camera shop to process film quickly, yet at a reasonable rate. Wilson Camera turned out to be exactly what I was looking for! I dropped off several disposable 35MM cameras earlier this week for processing and high resolution scans. They provided a timeframe of about 5 days to expect my scans back, but I received a happy surprise in my inbox a day early with a link to download all of my photos! So quick! After processing my film, they let me know that one of my rolls was extremely expired and blank, so they provided a credit to process my next roll without me even having to ask. Amazing. They offer different pricing options for low, medium, and high resolution scans. I opted for high resolution, which was about $20 per roll. Not bad at all for ~26MP scans! I also have an old collection of 110 film that I've been wanting to process, but haven't been able to find a shop locally that can do it. The person who helped me at Wilson confirmed that they indeed process 110! I'm so excited to come back and get all my old rolls processed. read more

Although the age of film contributed to faint images on negatives , they were developed professionally and on time as promised. Very unprofessional- decided to bring my film here because I thought pricing was reasonable and turnaround time was fairly quick based on what I saw on their website. I paid $50 for prints and scans, which wasn't exactly clear on their website and I had to call later for further pricing clarification but that's not super important. It was supposed to take 1-2 days(based on what they told me). Thursday rolls around and nothing; I call them and they tell me that their machine had gone down over the weekend and they just got it back up. Why they hadn't told me that when I dropped it off on MONDAY and adjusted the turnaround time accordingly, I have no idea. They told me on Thursday that if I hadn't received anything by Monday to call back. I call back Monday and I'm told my film still hasn't been touched and they're super backed up and that there is a 50/50 chance that it will be touched today and hopefully it will be done by Tuesday. I understand things happen and that the machine went down but I'm very frustrated in the lack of communication. Definitely will not be bringing anything back here. read more

This place is awesome! They only took 3 days to develop my disposable camera film (Walgreens takes 2 weeks). I also dropped off 8 VHS tapes to be converted and it was only $20 per tape. Wilson camera is by far my favorite camera lab in Arizona. They are incredibly welcoming and friendly. The first time I was in they fixed 2 of my cameras within 10 minutes. Negatives will come back scratched and your prints will be done improperly on the wrong paper. if you dare call to check in ON the date the store says your rolls will be done, the owner will admittedly "move your order to the back of the line" because he feels like he shouldn't have to make due dates HE SETS, further placing your order away from the day they originally promised. really unprofessional store and was even threatened that he will "f**k us up".
