The installer back then connected the fireplace to the hard steel gas pipe using copper tubing instead of flexible steel tubing. The original fireplace wore out, and I had Southern Sweeps install a new one. Their technician connected the fireplace to the gas supply using the existing out-of-code copper tubing, which, incidentally, had a kink in it. The technician tested the fireplace, told me everything was fine, and left. After he left, we smelled gas and called the gas company. The gas company detected gas coming from the kinked copper tubing. That was the first I knew anything was wrong with the connection. The Southern Sweeps installer should have refused to connect the fireplace until a licensed plumber connected it to the gas supply using flexible steel piping. Instead, he left us in a dangerous situation with a gas leak.

I have had trouble with my door since day one. Now 2.5 years in my my house and the garage door is extremely loud. I've had garage doors my entire life with no trouble before. Also second rate garage door opener. Stick with Liftmaster. They have perfected the opener. I would give Southern Sweeps less stars if that were possible.

His A/C wasn't cooling, and they came out on a Saturday. They informed him that because it was the weekend, the service charge would be $250 instead of the normal $89 charge. He agreed to this, but his understanding was that there would be an extra charge for parts. The technician replaced an inexpensive capacitor (quick fix with a $20 part) and fixed two small wires that were slightly burned on the end. He also briefly explained how to set the thermostat. The technician was there about 15 or 20 minutes and charged him $420. The problem is not that there was an exorbitant service charge to come out. The problem is that there was an ADDITIONAL labor charge above and beyond that for 15 or 20 minutes of tech time. THE $250 SERVICE CALL CHARGE DIDN'T COVER ANY LABOR! I obtained a quote from AMS A/C and Heating for the identical job on a Saturday. It was $270 -- $150 less than Three Rivers charged. I requested several times that the owner adjust the bill to $300 from $420, but he refused to do anything, even though I reminded him that he was taking advantage of an elderly person. I gave the owner three or four opportunities to make this right. We will NEVER use Three Rivers A/C and Heating again, as we feel we were scammed. You can't send someone out to do a repair with a $250 service call and then tell them afterward that the $250 charge didn't actually cover anything. On the other hand, AMS A/C and Heating has been very nice to work with and reasonably priced. They don't take advantage of senior citizens, and they will be getting all our business and hopefully the business of the person who recommended Three Rivers to us as well.

We started looking into companies that treat small areas of dry wood termites since we didn't need the house to be tented and found Lajaunie's. They offer a whole house no tent dry wood termite treatment that comes with dry wood termite coverage as long as you pay the annual inspection fee. It's pricey but the peace of mind that we won't be chasing the termites around the house is worth it. They treated the underneath of our house, the attic and drilled holes on both sides of each door and window to treat.

In my opinion, do NOT automatically believe the company's response without reviewing the actual facts and documentation yourself.** My experience with LaJaunie's Pest Control was extremely disappointing and financially stressful. I was sold a very expensive rodent package, including approximately **$18,000 in exclusion work** that was supposed to help prevent rats from entering the home, in addition to attic cleaning and ongoing pest services. Despite all of this work and money spent, I STILL had rodent activity afterward and was repeatedly told to "just wait, it takes a while." **PLEASE READ THE CONTRACT CAREFULLY.** From my understanding, the cancellation terms heavily favored the company and included major financial penalties tied to the remaining balance of the agreement. The billing issues became even more concerning: * After already making **11 out of 12 payments**, I was told I could cancel and would not owe additional payments. * I later continued receiving charge notifications and attempted charges to my card. * I spoke with **Shelly twice** and was specifically told there would NOT be an additional **$49 charge** because they were "just picking up bait boxes." * Another charge was still processed anyway. * When I called back, management stated I still needed to pay. I was also told the company "records everything," yet the information later being described as part of my alleged agreement was NOT what I stated during the conversations. I requested copies of the recordings they referenced and am still waiting. Fortunately, I also keep my own records of conversations. When I raised concerns, I was told the employee involved "no longer works for the company." Again: PLEASE document everything in writing, save screenshots, review every clause carefully, and get multiple opinions before committing to any large pest-control contract.

They gave me a quote. I said sure proceed with work. The spray foam jefe came out to spray. That should have been my first red flag, the company I contracted with wasn't the one doing the work. Then they did the walls only and said they weren't going to spray the ceilings. Which would totally defeat the purpose of spray foaming any of it. So the guy literally yelled at me because he didn't have that in his estimate. I then said well I'm not paying for full job since y'all didn't do it. The guy huffed up said they were going to do it. I just went up there with an hvac guy cause surprise surprise one room isn't getting cooled down. Hvac guy climbs over a ladder he put on the spray foam and to no surprise they only sprayed the portion of ceiling that was visible from the lower attic. Which explains why they took their ladder out so soon. The other BS is they sprayed the opening where I could've seen it straight to the roof so the area that was not sprayed was not viewable. Not only that they didn't remove the insulation on the ceiling either. At the end the had me make check out to spray foam jefe Don't use these lazy, lying, crooks
