But Expert is as reliable and responsible as Dusty's. They honor the warranty from the new unit we bought from Dusty. They come out promptly, are good at diagnosing problems and getting your unit up and cooling again quickly and without unnecessary drama. Michael, one of the A/C techs, has taken care of us for years. I knew his wife and she called him at the first sign of a problem. He is friendly and excellent at what he does. He helped us choose a larger, 2-stages unit with dehumidifier when we saw or unit was underserved. We have Bern very happy with it, ad MYB budge loves it cold, but the dehumidifier keeps it from feeling damp and uncomfortable. We consider Michael like one off the family! He still works there, but at Expert. Other techs have also come out and done a great job, as well. In New Orleans, we had a number of adequate and terrible companies, but on the Northshore, we only ever needed one. I can't say enough about this company!

I planned to buy a new faucet myself. The plumber's company quoted me $441 to install it. That sounded like a steep price for the job. So I consulted a friend who works in construction. He suggested that I call American Do-All, the plumbing company he uses on his contracting jobs. He said they did good work and for a good price. I called American Do-All immediately - it was late on a Friday afternoon. They offered to send a plumber out first thing Monday to install my faucet. They couldn't quote an exact price until they knew what the job would entail. But they said I should expect to pay $150 - $275. On Monday morning, Ethan from American Do-All called to tell me that he was 30 minutes away. He arrived right on time and completed the job in less than an hour. The cost was $195 (service call, labor, parts). I was satisfied with the whole process - the initial phone call, the prompt scheduling, the courteous plumber, the completed work, and the price. Also I love my new faucet! I'll call American Do-All the next time I need plumbing, HVAC, or electrical services.

I have a clogged over flow line that leaves out of my septic tank. Brook's Plumbing came out and…read moreran a snake down both ways in the piping and attempted to flush out the line with a bladder. All in all about an hour and a half worth of work and came to the conclusion that the line may be collapsed. I accepted the defeat, hoping it was an easy fix. So with that said I asked what do I owe them for the work they did and it came out to $650. To run a snake up the pipe and utilize the bladder and very little hand digging $650 and the issue was never resolve. And then got offered that they will come out with a mini trackhoe to dig and fix the issue for $1800 pulse cost of materials. I will never again hire a plumber, I might even quit my job as a natural gas pipeliner and start work as a plumber. I feel so cheated out of $650 for nothing really. I Couldn't in my right mind charge somebody full price for that little work and not fixing the issue. Sure make a few bucks coming out to the site and attempting to fix it. But $650??? And septic system is still messed up.... Never again Brooks plumbing.

That band aid cost me 800.00. Fast forward 1 year and I called Gowland's dreading the cost. They sent out Art within a few days. I told him what the other company did so he took apart my outdoor unit, went upstairs in the attic and assessed the problem. He even called the manufacturer to check if my upstairs unit was still under warranty. Unfortunately, it was out of warranty for 8 months. (If I had called Gowland's the 1st time I would have saved a small fortune) Basically I needed a new upstairs unit and Art told me that the unit I had was a nice one but it was a little overkill for the size of my house so he recommended a smaller version. The salesman called me up(I believe he's also the owner) and gave me a price that was much lower than I expected. See this is the type of service that keeps companies in business. Pigs get fed and hogs get slaughtered. Gowland's was fair, not greedy. The next week, Art had the new unit installed and I had A/C for the 1st time in 8 months. Just in time for the summer. I cannot recommend them enough for their professionalism, expertise and fairness.
