First of all, he was 40 minutes late. Next, as he steps from his truck was complaining about how much of a waste of time this is. He finally walked over whilst complaining the whole time. He gave about two minutes of patience, he then said "you have five minutes before I leave" (mind you less than 10 minutes have passed). The bull was also contained to a small pen at this time and had to simply be ran through a head gate. Three minutes go by and he says "let's call it a day". He obviously did not want to be there. I don't know how this guy stays in business with that attitude, perhaps from the fact that he charges $75 just to show up and give lip for 15 minutes.

Very upsetting experience for my wife today. Tried to have an ancient cat, euthanized. The poor…read morecat is suffering with biting seizures/dementia, atrophied hindquarters, little bladder control, and obvious pain behavior and frequent yowling. The animal seized last weekend, and bit our daughter, leaving a deep wound. After we decided, and went through the emotional part of this process, their vet refused to euthanize. Instead, we were given a handout on keeping the cat comfortable. In all my years, I have never experienced, or heard of such a refusal. I guess the vet knows better, than the family who has lived nearly 18 years, with the cat. Needless to say we will no longer be bringing any of our pets to this clinic. I really dislike leaving a bad review, but to imagine another pet owner having to go through something like this is just appalling.

Dr. Salazar was kind and soft spoken. Marianne at the front desk was wonderful and helpful as well! This is a small place that reminds me of an older home converted into a hospital. Warm and inviting! I am grateful I was able to get in because it's a welcoming atmosphere. One morning he ran off and I found him scavenging a carcass and before I could get to him, sure enough he got bone stuck in his throat. Fortunately it was not effecting his breathing, but he could not swallow and was clearly in great distress. I got him back home, called my Vet. They had no DR on staff until the afternoon. I then called every other Vet in my area, and they could either not see me because of being over capacity for appointments, or there was no Vet on Staff at the time. I loaded Max in the Truck, called ahead and told them we were coming. It was a long drive, 40 minutes with a dog in distress. When we arrived they got us in right away. Even though Max is a big , strong, and difficult dog, the veterinarian and staff were able to get the bone out of his throat with no sedation, no major procedure. They did not do anything extra, did not require an ultra sound of an X-Ray, and after all was said and done, it probably only cost me a little more than my regular Vet would have charged, and that was for an Emergency appointment. I know people will complain about the cost of VCA, but this is a 24 hour emergency service, and I for one am glad the community at least has this option given that extreme Vet shortage, and IMO anyone that takes on the responsibility of caring for an animal should be ready for things like this to come up. Called Chico and they said I had to bring my pet there for an exam in order to receive prescriptions that he already had. They had my pets' records, same vet. Had been with the Oroville vet for over 20 years and myself and other received no notice. VCA is a Corporate Entity looking out for themselves first, pets and pet parents second.

When I finally got Barbra on the phone ( by blocking my number) she said that when the cat dies I can have another for free! The cat is still alive and I taught him to walk with his front paws and he uses his stomach muscles to move his very weak back legs . I would have still taken him even though he is disabled. She really should have told me about his health problems. She really shouldn't charge money for a sick cat .

I've never felt uncomfortable about her cattery or kittens and I've been to her place several times. I have 4 of her babies who are healthy and extremely friendly. In the instance that one 'may' have been ill, I was mailed a bottle of antibiotics (which I ended up not having to use as the kitten was not sick). Barbara went above and beyond to ensure our little one was healthy, and I can't say that for other breeders. I will always return to her for kittens, and if I need advice. She genuinely loves exotic breeds and cares about her customers.
