Bryan is extremely thoughtful in his caretaking of the property: it's a beautiful building and the grounds are spectacular. He also genuinely takes pride in his ability to help curate an atmosphere that is unique to you as a couple, which is something that is not found in many property owners. We took full advantage of all of Nature's offerings, including having 70 of our friends on site with us in the glamping tents Friday and Saturday night. The glamping experience truly made our wedding so unique and magical: there is a huge fire pit in the middle of the woods that added countless hours for creating memories. The glamping accommodations were bougie enough for even the most high maintenance of our friends: everyone was comfortable and raved about their experience! When our original plan for hosting a Sunday brunch fell through at the 11th hour, Bryan graciously let us host the brunch at Nature, once again showing his accommodating nature (no pun intended). One thing I will say is that this venue is not for those who are looking for full service planning and coordination. We did hire a weekend coordinator (who did a great job) but even despite having her onboard, we had an incredible amount of help from family and friends to pull this off. There's no way we could've had the wedding of our dreams without the support from everyone including Bryan, but just fair warning that this venue is very much a DIY blank canvas and requires you as the hosts to be flexible, so make sure you're up for it! We would change not a single thing and would recommend Nature to anyone looking to host a unique and memorable gathering.

We had spiders the size of frogs in our tent all over! The owner made the wedding party put sheets on the tents, take the garbage out, sweep the floor of the tented banquet area, we had to set up table and chairs for reception, we had to set up chairs for the ceremony, again all while he and his two workers are sitting and watching us. He literally had the audacity to sit and watch all of us work! It's a shame they are willing to run this type of operation for such special occasions. My hunch is it won't last long!

We were originally going to spend most of our time in Traverse City, so we were disappointed to be 30 minutes out from the city. However, we had such an amazing time exploring Northport, Sutton's Bay, Old Fishtown, and other small cities off of the M-22 loop that we never even ventured to Traverse City! Jane and Jack are the owners of the B&B and are so nice. They did an amazing job making us feel welcomed, but still giving us our space to enjoy one another. The house is a historic building in Northport and the décor is consistent with that. Even though it is an older home, it is well taken care of and updated to accommodate guests. There is a very cool old fireplace out back and they allow guests to sit at the fire in the evening. Jane always had a serving tray filled with ingredients for smores waiting for us. She even had bug spray for us. They also have a mini fridge filled with water and pop for guest to enjoy. Jane is a phenomenal cook and we enjoyed the breakfast she prepared both mornings. She presents it beautifully and gives you plenty. Overall, we were just so pleased with our stay and loved meeting Jane and Jack. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast!

They were only there a few hours and it was no big deal to us, but I guess it was a big deal to her. We will not stay here again because it is too small and there is no way to cook anything. Again, the food was superb and our hosts made us feel very much at home. It is just absolutely a drop dead gorgeous place. Bellaire, although a very small town, is right in the center of all sorts of tourist stops and within very easy driving distance of Traverse City and Charlevoix. If you want to go to a place where you can thoroughly relax and enjoy a few days off this is the place. Go!

The old look is maintained and the decorations are spot on. I loved the loft and the sitting area by the bar, the new deck is a welcome addition. Having "real" bathrooms is priceless to any woman. Our only issue is, it was beyond freezing cold, and the barn does not lend itself to being easily heated or cooled. Having not one but two houses for the wedding party to rent out is such an awesome idea.

I'll never forget the beautiful views of the boats and shops of Fishtown. Van's Beach is right outside the door, and the town is a close drive to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and wine tasting on the Leelanau Peninsula. We opted for a balcony apartment room, which was a great decision. It is located off their upper deck and offers some additional privacy from the other visitors. The room had two beds - one downstairs and one in a cute loft area. It would be plenty of space for two couples to share, although noise could be heard throughout the room. The bathrooms and kitchenette are both recently updated and really added to our overall experience! We also loved that they are dog friendly, as it can be limiting to travel with pets at times and find convenient stays. While the price point to stay is similar to the prices of nicer hotels, we didn't experience quite the same level of service. As you can imagine with a smaller staff, they offer room cleaning only as requested and don't always have someone staffing the office. Overall, we didn't mind since we loved the location and the amazing views.

The office staff said they would deduct $75 from our bill and never did. I've called and left many messages and will be following up today with an email. We have a two night stay booked next fall and I would cancel it if it wasn't for us meeting friends there and staying at the same lodge. I don't mind that this is a more low-key, no staff present at night but when you wake up and you can't take a shower because the shower isn't draining and backing up with disgusting stuff and you call the overnight number and text it and no one even bothers to get back to you once the office is opened, it's a terrible way to start your day. Especially if you're celebrating some thing. Then, to be told they know that there are problems in there with the drainage and didn't care about disclosing it or even answering their phones and addressing the issue and just laughing it off is incredibly unprofessional and just unkind. Maybe they would like to start their day standing in disgusting water on their birthday. :/ I've read a lot of complaints about this lodge. This is such a beautiful location and a very special and unique lodge but you need new management. Desperately.
