This dealership is not to be used! They lied to me on 7 things within an hour - tried to sell me a car they did not own, they would have the car I want by morning, waiting for another dealership to get back to them after the dealership told them they did not have the car, and that I was denied credit even though I had great credit and got financing at another dealership within an hour. They cashed my "deposit" check after I told them I was going somewhere else and now I have to wait 10 days to get my money back. I will never go there again - and we bought 4 cars from there. If you want crappy service go there otherwise I would advise going somewhere else read more

Danny was ready for me right when I got there and had all the paper work ready to go which cut out a lot of waiting time. I really have nothing but great things to say about my experience with Willowbrook Kia. I have been shopping for a car for a while now. Mike A. at this Kia dealership was more than agreeable to work with. I intitally contacted him via their website on a Sunday regarding one of their Kia Souls. Being a Sunday, I didn't really expect a reply. However, Mike immediately replied to me first thing Monday morning, answering all the questions I had. If you know anything about car dealers it is that they are HIGHLY unlikely to do any sort of business discussion via email. Mike was different though - he knew I was shopping at competitive dealerships, and really went the extra mile to provide outstanding customer service. Not only did he respect my work schedule, and fact that I was unable to speak on the phone during the day... he was also very patient, and did not use "salesy" tactics on me. The fact that he didn't call me 80 times after every email transaction was a relief. Long story short - I wound up buying my new car from Willowbrook Kia. Mike A. was not only able to get me the car I want, he also got me a deal that was HEADS ABOVE the other dealerships I had inquired with (including an upgraded model, in addition to my other requirements). Had my truck towed in for service and figured I would see what they had since I was at high mileage and would need a replacement sooner than later. Salesman (Andy) listened to what I was looking for and gave me some options. Of course he would like to make a sale but was OK with me thinking on it. No over the top pressure. Gave me a fair deal on trade in and fair price on truck I was looking at. Decided to buy by the time my wife came to pick me up and he stayed late to put the deal together. The only Kia service center in Chicagoland that is honest and reputable. I called on a Saturday because my car was making noise. Never been there before but they told me to bring it over, on a Saturday without an appointment 1 hr before closing. It was a brake shield that was rubbing. This is now the second time I've gone to the Willowbrook Kia and had very poor service and even worse customer service. I made an appointment for 3pm on Friday and when I showed up, the service advisor said they don't take anymore vehicles starting at 3pm and they close at 5pm. Well, why was I able to make an appointment then? After talking with the service manager, the advisor reluctantly took my vehicle telling me it was going to be awhile because there were 30 cars in front of me. Then he went on to tell me that it was going to be $135 just to look at my vehicle and I told him that I just wanted the code read to figure out what the problem was. I didn't want him taking my vehicle a part. Finally after arguing with him and telling him that I can get the code read for free elsewhere, he did what he was supposed to do, his job. He told me what the code meant and said it was going to cost $135 to REALLY figure out what the problem is. I was done arguing at this point and told him fine. After looking at my vehicle again, he said it would cost about $1200 for parts and labor and it would take a couple days to order. I took my vehicle back home to do some research. I found out that I had bought an extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle and shouldn't have had to pay anything at all, including the $135. So I went back this morning to show the paperwork and they said that the service manager works only M-F and no one could help me. So I asked to speak to someone higher up, they sent me to another service advisor (which he eventually got caught in a lie and told me he was a service manager) and said they wouldn't refund me the money AND that he couldn't help me until Monday. Very frustrating. I've spent a lot of money at this dealership and have also recommended them to family and friends. I will NEVER do that again. Last year, Kia ended up having my vehicle for FOUR months because I went to have a recall fixed along with some other minor things at the same time and every time I went to pick up my vehicle when they told me it was finished, something else was wrong. Grease on the ceiling, scratches, cracked parts.... I wouldn't expect to be treated like that as a loyal customer. I'm very disappointed that Kia treated me how they did and hope that this changes in the future for others. UPDATE: After speaking with the actual service manager, he has promised to make this all right and solve our problem. It looks like we are on the right track to get our problem fixed. BUYER BEWARE. This dealership WILL sell you a defective vehicle, and is shady and unethical in other regards. THEY APPARENTLY DO NOT INSPECT THE USED CARS THEY SELL CAREFULLY. After a long process of haggling (the "I need to check with my manager" game in full effect--even just to get the CARFAX report! And a LONG process of trying to get said CARFAX report out of them (more than an hour waiting)), we picked a car and brought it to an independent mechanic for inspection. A relatively short list of problems were found, including terrible brake pads, leaking oil pan, and a transmission flush that was long, long overdue. The mechanic said that the issues needed to be fixed to consider the car safe, and was surprised the dealership did not notice these obvious problems. Brought it back to Willowbrook and was told by the manager immediately, "I'm not fixing anything. I'm not putting money into this car." We left, but I don't have the impression they WILL fix the problems before selling to someone else. Also, beware: they do not use CARFAX and will make a stink if you request it -- and, make sure to check the date on whatever "car report" they do provide -- the off-brand one they tried to pass off on this car was months old, and was from the dealership THEY bought the car from. This isn't even to speak of the atrocious customer service and the filthy trailers they are working out of. read more

He had a great first quote offer, so I emailed him back to see if he had the Kia Soul in the denim color I'd fallen for. He emailed right back that he did, so I told him to call me. I explained that I have an infant so driving around town or spending hours in a dealership were not pleasurable activities. He understood because he has a young son of his own. I gave him all my info over the phone and he called me 30 minutes later with an estimated payment amount. My husband and I drove out later that night and spent a bit more time that I would have liked (past baby's bedtime) but after a bit of work we agreed upon a pretty fabulous deal. I had purchased my Kia Optima Hybrid about one week ago. I can only say how professional and fair this dealer was during this transaction. My salesman was Eddie and he could not do enough to make me comfortable with my new purchase. Cesar, the manager did go out of his way as well. When I brought the car back for the amorall protection, I had forgotten to take my wallet. They shuttled me home to get the ID I needed for the rental car. This is outstanding customer care. The only thing that needs polishing is the reception at the service department. The folks there seem to be rather pre-occupied with other things to greet everyone when they arrive. I waited about ten minutes before any one approached me and they seemed annoyed. This was an entirely foreign experience from the Kia Sales staff. read more

In October my daughter and I were looking at new cars. I have never owned or looked at a Kia before, but my daughter liked the look of the Optima on paper. We stopped in at Willowbrook Kia and the salesman, Danny Mijatovich listened closely to what she was looking for in our price range. The dealership had a large selection of Optimas and were running great promotions. There was no sales pressure and Danny showed us quite a few cars in our price range and explained the differences in instrumentation option packages and lease/buy options. She test drove the 2015 Kia Optima and liked it and we went home to think about it. She saw pictures of the 2016 on the web and decided to wait on her decision until she could see in person the 2016. A week later Danny called to tell us they had received a 2016 Optima (they were the first dealer to receive them). We test drove the 2016 Optima EX and they allowed us to take the car home to really do a thorough test drive. We returned and began negotiating the price. Shockingly, the process was easy- again no pressure from Danny. He gave us a very good price and we bought the car. We have owned the car for a month and no problems. The service department followed up immediately to schedule the installation of an add-on. Danny has followed up with us to make sure we are satisfied. We have talked and talked and developed a friendship. I will definitely go back to this dealership and especially Danny for my next car, I highly recommend them. read more

I've purchased 3 cars from this dealership and have driven an hour each way to have them service my cars but in the last couple of years have been increasingly unhappy with the service. On April 13th I took my KIA in for service and asked them to check the power steering pump which had been replace locally but was very noisy. The service advisor told me the pump was fine but I needed to replace the rack and pinion assembly which would require ordering and paying $1014.18 in advance. I did this and scheduled an appointment for April 18th. The work took 8 hours and when I picked up the car and paid the $802.95 labor charge the car made the same noise I asked about on the 18th. I was told air needed to bleed from the system and to drive the car for awhile. I returned on April 22nd since the car was still noisy and they bled the system (twice) and then told me they "would have to start by replacing the power steering pump at $743.28. This is the part I asked them to check in the first place. As a note to the KIA corporation, I've been trying to resolve this for a month with their factory representative and on only one occasion received a call back. If you check the KIA service reviews on this site you will see that the dealers earn 2 stars at best. In a city as large as Chicago you would think they would want to provide better service. I certainly won't buy another KIA. read more

RUN AWAY FROM THEIR USED CARS I bought a used 2005 Grand caravan with 59000 miles on it , within the first 20 miles and 24 hours off owning it the lights ,gages ,radio, airbag lights started going crazy . I called Mike T Manager he tried to get it fixed they could not find the problem. He told me he would trade my van for another van , He gave me a 2002 Mazda MPV I took it for a test drive came back it was smoking from engine, he gave me 2003 town country I took it to a mechanic, He found between 2,000 two 3,000 dollars worth of work it needed . And number four a 2006 ford free star Mike told me it needed $2000.00 worth of work one day and that they were not going to fix it , but the next day he tried to give it to me I asked him twice if they fixed the problems and he would not give me answer. I called Roger R General Manager he gave me the run around so I called ALAN M OWNER I told him about all the problems I was having and he told me that I was ,(his words) " nit picking all of his cars". That I think says it all. I bought this for my wife and two little ones it was unsafe from day one it ended up taking $2000.00 to fix it. read more

When im going to spend a good amount of money on a new car i expect to be treated with professionalism and respect. My experience at this hole in the wall dealership is one i wish i never had. It started when i parked my car, i get out and even before i close my door i get approached and greeted. (not too big of a deal) What makes it worse is when another salesman starts swearing at the first guy for taking another "up". I felt like it was a piece of meat that two dogs were going after. Here is what really put me over the edge. The reason i decided to go here is for a 2013 Escape they had advertised and reassured me that it was in stock that morning. After the parking situation they sat me inside and said that they would pull the car around, 20 minutes go by and im told that the car was sold last night and they would get another one for my this afternoon from another dealer. They just wanted $1500 deposit "to make sure im a real buyer". At this point i have had enough and it was time to choose a new place to do business with.
