Horrible place to try to buy a car. I had a very bad experience with the manager Mike at Willowbrook KIA. They left me there sitting for a long time, would not listen to my offer and then tried to make it seem like he is the one giving me 0% instead of the banks. These people are rude and would not recommend to anybody who is shopping for a car. Save yourself the time and find a different place to do business. read more

So update with the same service problem. Elmhurst again offered to cover costs incurred by Willowbrook service to fix my car. I was told it would be a full day or two repair so I planned accordingly. We scheduled the appointment and after 2 days they couldn't get it done because they were too busy. So we tried again a couple weeks later. Having had the car in before, they thought they could get it done in one day, they didn't. This time I asked for a rent-a-car on the second day. Again, Elmhurst offered to pay. I ended up only using the car for a few hours because of Willowbrook's poor communication. All was finally fixed and I thought the business was done. 7 months later I was billed $83 for that rent a car I never should have needed without warning because Willowbrook Ford Kia denied it and didn't bill Elmhurst as they were supposed to. I was given no warning at all. For over a week I called and left messages for Tim Ward the service manager with never a response. read more

Everyone at the dealership was very friendly and helpful. They took a tremendous amount of time explaining my Telluride options. Eddie was very nice and not at all pushy like you would expect from a car dealership. After we decided to purchase the new Telluride we were introduced to the finance expert .....also very nice....He gave us plenty of options for financing which included some warranty options to protect the vehicle long term. Another person was Rob the customer relations person who explained aftermarket options available in-house....also very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to send somebody else to this dealership! read more

BUYER BEWARE! total scam dealership. I found the car that I wanted online and asked for a E price. The price they had listed was 41,500. A girl, Daisy, called me back and said that she would send me a E price via email I received the price in two separate emails and both emails confirmed that the price was 41,500. on the email it says that this is your price, nothing about a markup. The next day I called to confirm that the car was still there and it was so I drove an hour to get there to test drive it. I spoke to the salesman Risto, who, by the way is very nice and helpful. I took the car for a test drive, liked it and then found out that they were charging 10% over sticker, and that they would not budge on that. This is a gas powered 2022 Kia Sorrento, not a hybrid. There's no reason for them to be charging 4 to 5 thousand dollars over sticker. Prior to going here, I went to several other dealerships and they were all charging sticker on the 2022 Kia Sorrento's. The only reason I went here was because of the color of the car. I left not buying the car because I was not going to pay that price and they were not willing to budge on it. Afterwords, I priced it out on their website and found out that they also charge over $2000 for doc and title fees. At any other dealership, it is less than half of that. The only reason I can think of buying a car here Is if you are desperate or if you just have a lot of money that you don't mind spending. Do your research and go somewhere else, there are a lot of other Kia dealerships that will not rip you off like this place will. read more

Was starting the process of looking for a car and stopped in at the dealership. I'm 6 to 12 months out from the purchase and just test driving different makes and models. Danny was super helpful and completely not pushy. He let me take a leisurely test drive and answered all my questions. If you didn't know this was a Kia dealership you think you were in a Lexus or Acura dealer. The sales staff attitude is so refreshing compared to the Honda and Jayda dealerships I've visited. Those guys meet you in the shower when you get home from a test drive. Would definitely recommend Danny and this dealership to friends. Update: stop by the dealership again today because I had time in between clients. Met Trajce. Like Danny he is very easy to interact with. Let me test drive a Kia Cadenza. No pressure to purchase since I mentioned that my purchase will be months out. Who do these guys think they are?!? They're supposed to pressure me and play all kinds of tricks to take my money. That's what I got at every Honda and Toyota dealership! All kidding aside,Thank you again for treating me like a human being and not trying to steal from me like the other sales people. It's really refreshing to visit a dealership and it being a positive experience. read more

Went to Willowbrook Kia to buy a car at basically one of the lowest points in my life A senior citizen faced suddenly with basically losing everything I own with $1000 to my name Because I had lived a life of paying off my debts and carrying no credit I was given the highest interest rate by a sub par finance company I don't think this dealership did much to help me in that regard other than saying I may be able to refinance at some point. I got stuck returning to this dealership for a recall on my Kia as it is the only one anywhere near my job. I brought it in for the airbag recall and they did the work on the car. However, as I was pulling away from the dealership I noticed that the airbag light was still on. When I brought it back for yet another recall and brought up the airbag light, I was told that wasn't covered under the recall and it would cost nearly $100 for an overview of the car. As I had a feeling it was just the sensor that needed to be reset I brought it to my local mechanic who verified that was the case. This place is terrible. Looks like I'll be reporting them to the feds. Well done on another fantastic disappointment Willowbrook Kia. read more

Willowbrook KIA advertises a tow hitch for a 2016 Sorento on their website for $310. When I called to order it I was told the price was $342. They also advertise a cargo cover for the same vehicle on their website for $147.50. When I called to order it I was told the price was $180. I have 10 screen shots of their accessories website from the last month, all showing the same prices. Today I spoke with Dan the parts manager, who offered to sell me these parts at the lower prices, which are advertised on their website. Last week the dealership said the installation labor charge for the tow hitch was $100. Today, after Dan offered to sell me the two parts at the actual advertised price, he told me that the labor to install the tow hitch would be $300 rather than $100. Draw your own conclusions. I'll never do business there again. read more

After multiple times of telling them to stop calling and that I'm satisfied with my car, they will keep trying to sell you over the phone on new cars. REVIEW UPDATE - 2015 KIA OPTIMA PURCHASE EXPERIENCE on NOV. 19, 2015: On Nov. 19, 2015, I came in to resolve a problem I had with the used 2012 KIA Optima I bought 6 months ago & the staff - Mike & Trajce, particularly were more than happy to resolve the problem... ... But it gets BETTER! While I was waiting for them to take a look at my car in the service area, I was approached by another sales guy (he might have been named Mike as well as apparently there are a lot of Mikes there) -- & he explained that KIA was having a huge Holiday Savings Event. I ended up trading in my 2012 KIA Optima that I bought with 55,400 miles (& had only put 1,200 miles on it in the 6 months I had it) for a nearly identical 2015 model which left the lot with no more than 5 miles on it! This whole situation turned from me requesting them to fix an issue on the used car I had that was overlooked -- (to which they were genuinely apologetic & happy to not only fix the issue, but reimburse me for the mechanical work & parts I dished out money for) to a "we not only want to admit our error & reimburse you, but guess what -- we can likely put you in a new car & make your car-buying experience with us even BETTER." That "BETTER" was putting me in a FAR BETTER financial situation by offering me a new car during their 2015 KIA HOLIDAY SAVINGS EVENT PROMOTION. This provided me with a brand new vehicle, under an excellent warranty at nearly the same monthly-payment-price as the one I just bought from them 6 months ago, & saved me $8,500 in interest charges by dropping my interest-rate from 14% to 0.9% -- an interest rate that won't keep me up at night -- not to mention no payments for 5 months! A good business admits their error, fixes the problem, & often will offer you a reimbursement if it is appropriate. A GREAT business does not only *that* -- but looks to see what *else* they can do to make your buying experience even better. Willowbrook KIA, Salespersons Trajce & whichever "Mike" I worked with are a GREAT BUSINESS & GREAT Sales-Team. You folks have a life-time customer in me, my room-mate who co-signed for me & *also* bought a car from you, *&* my husband. The two of them were overjoyed to hear how the whole situation turned out, simply from me coming in & asking for you guys to fix an issue that was overlooked on your end. I'd been in customer service for over 20 years -- as high as an Assistant Management position -- & I will attest: *THIS* is how you keep customers. *THIS* is how you go above-&-beyond. *THIS* is how you not only do your job for yourselves -- but you do your job with compassion for the financial situation of your customers & that is RARE in today's world of greed & big business. You have my thanks, appreciation, admiration & ENVY that I never had the opportunity to work with such a dedicated sales-team myself when I was still working. Thank you. ======================== ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM MAY 21, 2015: Bought a 2012 KIA Optima. Excellent customer service with my sales rep, Trajce Cvetkovski and my financing adviser, Mr. Lopez. LOVE the car and both gentlemen as well as Cheryl at the front desk answering the phone have gone above and beyond in doing everything within their power to make me happy. read more

If I could do zero Stars I would. I had a very disappointing and unpleasant experience this morning with Willowbrook Kia. I have been looking to buy a Kia Niro for the past two weeks. Carrie contacted me early last week about a Niro that they had that matched what I wanted. We emailed back and forth several times over the course of last weak. I told her I would be coming in on Monday to check out the car. She asked me to please confirm with her on Saturday if Monday still worked. I emailed her Saturday and confirmed I would be in on Monday morning. This morning I sent her an email at 9:45 to let her know I would be coming in about 11. I called her at 11 and said I was going to be running about an hour late and would be there at noon. She said no problem and look forward to meeting me. When I arrived at the dealership, she introduced me to Victor who was going to be the salesperson helping me with the Niro. Victor informed me that we had to drive over to another dealership to pick up the Niro. I had been interested in purchasing. After a few minutes he said nevermind, we did not need to go over to the dealership because someone was going to be bringing it over to us. After we sat down and did some preliminary paperwork, he told me that it was going to be about an hour and a half before they could get the car over to the dealership because they had to clean it up and get it ready. He offered me a loaner car to go out and get some lunch which I accepted. When I got back to the dealership, Victor informed me that the car was in the process of being sold to another customer at that dealership and was no longer available. I spent 3 hours of my day at this dealership before they were finally honest with me. The whole interaction with Carrie and Victor and this dealership felt very shady, underhanded and typical of what you would expect from a slimy car dealership as so many of them seem to have that reputation. I had hoped my experience was going to be more pleasant based upon my initial interactions with Carrie and her helpfulness, but unfortunately that was not the case. Go to another Kia dealership and hopefully they will be straight up an honest with you from the get-go. read more

We were out car shopping to several dealerships. We walked into willowbrook Kia and Danny approached us and asked if we had any questions he could answer. It was a very relaxed atmosphere, not a high pressure dealership at all. We took the Kia Sportage for a test drive and immediately knew that this was the car for us. Very disappointing experience. Worked with them for several days. Came to a price and then the car was no longer available. Was told try were going to have it delivered but delayed several days. Said it was on its way from the Berwyn location they also own. Went to Berwyn and was told they've had the car for weeks. Caught in several lies. Got a similar deal in Naperville. Don't waste your time with them! Will probably be going to the BBB with this. read more

I just left this dealership extremely disappointed. Avoid this place at all cost. I dealt with Carrie via emails and phone calls and Tracie and Ken at the dealership. We came to an agreement with Carrie for a Kia Sportage leasse via email and went at the dealership to pretty much sign the deal . However, my time was just wasted, Ken could not accept the deal that was approved by the manager and Carrie via email. This is not how business should be handled. All I wanted to do was buy a used car. Spoke with two different salesman. Neither of whom actually ever showed me what I was looking for. The first guy Danny told me the car I had owned previously "sucked" and told me he would have what I wanted to see coming out of detail the following evening at 7 pm. I left work early the following evening to be there intending to purchase the car outright for my son should it meet expectations. Long story.... no car, no Dan. Waste of Time. Another salesman named Tony then stepped up and after explaining AGAIN what I wanted, he told me he had just the car...... coming out of the body shop due to needing a scratch fixed on the bumper after coming in off a lease. Come back. I gave them another chance. Again came in and no car. He then spent the next 20 minutes trying to convince me to lease a brand new automobile for my 18 year old son who absolutely is not getting a brand new vehicle. I left and have never received a call concerning the car I came to see. The whole place is a joke. read more

Went there to look for another car because my lease was expiring. I really didn't know what kind og car I wanted so I wanted to test drive a few. I have bought the last two cars from them with nothing but ease. the service dept. is great. the salesperson Dave was helpful and had no problem helping us try to find a car. When he went to get a another car to drive the sales manager came up to us and ask if we knew what we wanted. we said no not really that is why we wanted to drive a few different models. He tried to push us into deal after only driving two vehicles. Isn't that the reason you go there is to test drive and make sure that's what you want. but I guess they feel different. My lease is up in a month so we just wanted to make sure what car or SUV would be best for us. But after the response and the we were treated by the manager I will NOT be getting a new lease from them. read more

I take my car here for service and everyone is professional and friendly. Their waiting room has an awesome massage chair too! The service department's rates are good but they didn't get one star because of the "car wash" they do on vehicles. I put that in quotes because my car is always looks filthy after their wash.  I'm not sure what they use other than dirty water.  I even asked them not to wash it last time but they still gave it a mud bath. I will definitely continue to use Willowbrook Kia for my service needs! read more

Great customer service! We were ready to trade in our 2010 Dodge and took several weeks to research various dealers and models. We were attracted to the Kia warranty program and the Sorento model. Closer dealerships to our home were not as attractive. I called ahead of time to inquire about a vehicle I noticed on their website. Danny told me he would warm the vehicle and be ready to answer any questions. When we arrived, he stayed true to his word. No pressure, friendly service and stayed within our budget! Everyone on staff introduced themselves and answered every question for us. We appreciated the honesty and courtesy!! Highly recommend! And ask for Danny Mijatovic!! read more

Avoid this place at all cost. My experience was terrible dealt with Carrie online and Victor at the dealership. I thought the days of slimy shady car deals were only with used cars. Not!!! Be careful of the bait and switch with the place. Double check all paper work out had three different sell prices and none of the math on the three pages added up. Ask for all available rebates upfront. Ask for a good faith estimate that includes all applicable costs, fees and taxes. Once they show it to you and ask for a signature to show the manager, get a copy. And use it to compare cost when you walk into the credit office. You've been warned. read more

Bait and switch practices. Buyer beware! Had my fuel pump go out on a 2014 Kia Sorento at 42, 000 miles, which is unheard of. Of course, the warranty just expired. The consumer report department is no help. The dealership created a fake manager that told me I could have a brand new Kia Sorento for the same price as mine. Went in to dealership to find it the manager I talked to is fake. The real manager, Mike, tried to sell me a new Kia Sorento for the price of a new Kia Sorento. Mike and his staff are a bunch of snakes! Now I am stuck paying a fortune for a lemon of a car that only has 42,000 miles on it! Stay away from Kia! Update Got a call from the GM, Roger, and he was not helpful. He is backing his staff and stated that there was not a chance I would get a new car, just a "newer car". I can see why the staff there is so deceitful. They are trained by upper management to be so. Bait and switch is their motto. read more

Awful old-school sales tactics. We went through the Costco program which has a pre-negotiated price. Cheryl, the Costco contact was leaving for the day so she hands us off to a brand new salesperson who she said would have someone working with her. She didn't. After selecting the model we wanted, we went inside and asked for the Costco price. Kia was running a 0% financing deal so when she asked me what payment I was looking for I explained I wanted the payment that the math gives when you get the costco price +tax+ tags divided by 66. She had to go talk to the manager. She came back with a handwritten paper that had the full MSRP - $1500 and said that was the Costco discount. That didn't look right so the manager (Jesse) came back and said that was indeed the Costco discount but I couldn't have that plus the financing deal, it was either/or...which sounds like the $1500 was the manufacturer rebate, not the Costco discount. So basically they tried to sell me a car at full MSRP with only the rebate. I told the manager I wanted the real Costco price and he retreated back to his lair leaving us with the salesperson. I turned to my son and said "Seriously?" and the saleswoman said she didn't know what we were upset about, the Costco rebate is only $800. That was probably wrong too but it shows they knew they were lying. And even if it was only $800, I would still get both that and the good financing deal. We left without seeing the manager again. What should have been an easy transaction with no negotiating turned into a lost sale for them, and more importantly, a lost relationship with a future customer. read more

My husband and I ended up at Willowbrook Kia back in October, after a horrible experience at International Kia in Tinley Park (check out that review). We never realized that there was a Kia dealership so close to us, conveniently located on Route 83 (Kingery Hwy), between I-55 and 75th Street. Very glad we went to Willowbrook Kia! This is hands-down the best car buying experience I have ever had. My husband had called earlier in the day and spoke with salesman John Petzold, so by the time I arrived, John P. was ready and waiting. He took me around the lot to check out what 2015's they still had in stock. John is quite the opposite of the stereotypical salesperson one usually dreads. He is very friendly and personable, and patient. I admit, I was quite picky and somewhat undecided as to the upgrades I wanted in the vehicle. John was eager (not desperate) to get me the exact car I wanted. He assured me, whatever vehicle I wanted, whatever options I wanted, he would find the exact vehicle, whether on his lot or on another dealer's lot. I test drove two different vehicles. I am extremely thankful to John because he took the time to explain all the fancy new stuff in the vehicle, such as push-start button (keyless start), backup camera, voice-operated system, etc., etc. We were very happy with the sales price we negotiated in addition to the factory rebates. The entire process was quick, simple, and painless. Thank you to John Petzold and the financing staff. I would absolutely recommend Willowbrook Kia to my family and friends, and to all of you Yelp users :) read more

Mike is the worst manager and his team is no better. He is rude and unprofessional and their switch and bait tactics are demeaning and unethical.
