I am not usually one to complain but what happened with doctor Elena at willowbrooke dental was atrocious. My husband chipped his tooth and we went to get it fixed. Dr Elena removed an additional two fillings he had as she told us they had fused together. She also put on the temporary crown. A couple days later my husband was complaining the two teeth w were very sharp- and were aggravating his tongue. When he showed me his tongue there was a puncture wound and blood caused by the sharp teeth. He called asking if they could help him and file them down but asked to do so before his appointment on September 12, they were able to do so, but told him because his teeth were so thin they couldn't grind them down much. A week later his tongue became very infected. When I called and explained the situation doctor Elena laughed at me. That's when I became frustrated and explained it wasn't funny as my husband hadn't eaten in two days. She then told me I was a joke to call on my husbands behalf- and she would only speak to him. I told her he was at home but I would get him to call. I then asked to speak to a manager about the way she was rude. She began speaking to the manager while I could hear- saying I was unreliable, and didn't know what I was talking about. She then told me she wouldn't talk to an idiot and then hung up. I had my husband call and she told me he needed to "shut up and let me talk" and then told him to call back in 30 minutes if he could realize she wasn't god then he could call back. They have charged us almost $300 for the crown and refuse to refund us since we are not comfortable having them put his crown in after the service read more

My review had to be updated from the last time i gave them 5 star review and a noce feedback. My Invisalign was supposed to last 1 year to a year and a half (started in 2018 and here we are mid-2021). I am on my 4th year almost! Also, customer service wise .. oh boy it changed a lot to the worst! It's like day and night. I understand the covid-19 has affected everybody. But they don't do follow ups like before. If you don't take the bull by the horn and call them and try to set things straight .. they don't care anymore. I did my scan (for the millionth time) .. they issued new trays in February (we are technically July). It was a nightmare to try to find a date that will work for me and them to come and simply stick those trays in my mouth. I have asked many months ago to send them to my place like they did once before. They refused. And 3 months later ... after i started to lose my patience (today: they decided to send them - and they tried to tell me that i am responsible if things don't go right: what a nice way to blame the client for your own wrong doings). They could of sent it months ago and not lose 5months and have my teeth crooked again. Since Doctor Sophie left, i find that things are not the same. Patsy was always the best and she is still the best. But unfortunately i keep asking to talk to her and deal with her but apparently she can't do anything. honestly: i wish i never started my Invisalign in this clinic. Plenty of clinic offering same products downtown vancouver... i didn't need to commute to Langley (70Km each way every-time i have an appointment - which usually last 10min). This clinic is not the same is used to Be. Patsy is the inly one i respect a lot. The rest of the clinic i am not sure what the hell happened. I am so disappointed. I can't wait to finish this Invisalign and never have to go back there again. I just started my wife with another dentist downtown Vancouver. It's been great so far. Below is My review i gave them way back (year 2018)((we are july 2021): Willowbrook dentist group is the best ever! From all the amazing people at the front desk to everyone else working hard at the back (with a smile on their faces) are all second to none! I love this place and this is why i travel 80km just to see my dentist. A huge salutation to Patsy & Dr Sophie for transforming my Smile with Invisalign. I never taught i can smile again with all the teeth going to every direction. Now i am proud to show my straight teeth! I love it. Do NOT choose this dentist. Had a root canal done that wasn's cleaned or filled properly and ended up with a severe infection and having to pay thousands to have this re-done. Emailed and called with no apology or refund. Terrible customer service!!! read more

I went to get one of my wisdom teeth removed and told the person removing it that I wasn't fully numb but he went ahead and pulled my tooth out anyways while I was screaming amd crying asking him to stop and then got mad at me for screaming and then when I went to rebook to get another one out I got cold feet because of the trauma they caused and they told me if I didn't come in that day and let them remove my tooth that I would owe them for not coming in. And before all that they filed down my boyfriends front teeth to the point where they've been chipping down ever since and have lost a huge amount of the top two teeth due to what they did. read more

I had 4 of my teeth extracted for braces here by Dr. Arlene Kreklewich. I am very dissatisfied with the outcome. She did not only remove one of my tooth, she remove almost all of the bone that support it. My orthodontist had to delay my treatment for 4 months to have this area healed and the bone can become more stable. She was not being gentle when removing that tooth at all. The tooth was broken during the process and the freezing in that location is starting to loose its effectiveness. So she started to shoot more of the anesthetics to that area even though I don't want to have too much in my system. It took me almost one whole day to have it unfreezed. Avoid this dentist if you could because she does not listen to your concern (she talks too much) and does not care about your health. Other staffs in the clinic are nice and helpful. I will not be back to this clinic. read more

Ya always feel rushed and never seem like I got a good cleaning for 250 you figure would take more than 15 mins if that and felt like only part was cleaned always left feeling I satisfied any fillings I did get fell out and now inneed of a lot more work than started so do your self a favour and stay clear of this place really friendly frack people they just want the money not there for you .... read more

I would not use again. Myself and spouse have been raped on over priced insurance claims when me both needed extensive rebuild work due to no insurance for last 5 years. Their solution was to over price and we could wait a year to finish work when new billing cycle begins. Ie, he would have no teeth for a year because they would overbill pulling rather then fixing. read more

I have been going here for years! The staff make you feel welcome and make sure to answer any questions you may have. Recently the business was taken over by a new owner, and dentist. Also, The renovations make the space feel more spacious and modern! I went to get my teeth professionally whitened for the first time and Tina made the experience a breeze. The dental hygienists are amazing at their jobs. However, after receiving one treatment for tooth filling, all good impressions were gone. I got a gum infection caused by careless local anesthetic injection. It was 8:00 pm appointment near the closing time and the male dentist kept talking to the young student who was shadowing him while he did the injection. I felt a sharp pain and wasn't sure at that time whether it should've been like that or not. The next morning, the injection area was swollen and painful. A few days later, it was filled with pus. I called the clinic, talked to the receptionist and tried my best to explain my concern. Instead, I was shut out, told that she couldn't understand me and she booked me an appointment in the evening to see the dentist. While I showed my gum infection to the dentist and expressed my concern, the dentist assistant abruptly told me that this was normal and walked out of the room. As for the dentist, he said it was an infection, but he didn't apologize nor did he do anything to fix it until I asked. He then suggested me to buy some topical medicine to heal the wound and said that I could come back to see him again in the next couple weeks if it didn't heal. It was very disappointing to see this unprofessional response from so many of the staff members! Is it really that hard to admit to a mistake and just apologize? Or if not, at least give a good reason as to why my gum turned out to be like such as: your gum might be too sensitive or so. Seems like a nice place but not professional. Excellent people. Had a tooth break and they had me in the next day and installed a temporary crown. Patient and understanding people. Very accommodating. I was concerned about the procedure and they went over everything in detail before we started Only concern was the dental assistant totally put down the existing work of my regular dentist at another clinic who was on sabbatical. I have only been to this clinic just for cleaning (no actual work done) on several occasions. All three hygienists I have seen were good. The clinic is open until late during the week and also on Saturdays, which is a big plus. The only downside is that the doctors come and go (hence I subtracted one star), but I guess that's to be expected with a mall clinic. I have found the level of service to be consistently good here. Well, enough is enough. They have a fettish about X-rays and if you say "no need had that last time", they certainly don't like that. My experience with the hygienist today was the worst in my 66 years, I was reminded that I should be aware that they would not "legally" assume responsibility should I have a cavity since I refused an unnecessary X-ray. I was told that they legally had to tell me this several times. I only have a few front bottom natural teeth, the remainder have all been replaced at great cost, but not at this office, and should last a lifetime. I do not have any other oral problem. The abuse was profound as my chair was placed with my head nearly to the floor. I finally told this hygienist that I have a serious neck problem and coukd not sustain that position for longer than the hour I had. Bottom line, up until now I have had municipal dental health insurance partially covered in retirement. As of next year dental insurance will no longer be covered.....it costs too much! Well, perhaps one of the reasons is offices such as this one who like nothing better than to crank up unnecessary costs. During this encounter the hygenist told me that "it is your body and you can refuse" - yes, it is, yes I have, and you will not make a further penny on me! I broke part of a tooth and had a examination and diagnosis on Oct.10/18 ($54.90). Was told by Dr. Choi the best way to repair was a root canal and a crown approx. $2500.00. I replied that I could get a total tooth implant for that amount of money and he said that would cost approx. $3500.00. I asked if we could do a root canal and filling. Dr. Choi said that was doable but not as good as a crown. I asked the price and Dr. Choi said about $500.00 but not exact but in that area. I decided that is what I would have done and made a appointment for Nov.07/18. I had the procedure done and went to the front counter to settle my account. The receptionist presented me with a bill for ($913.00). I said that is not the right amount and told her what I had been quoted by Dr. Choi. She said that the Doctors do not give quotes as that is the job of the front desk people. She went in the back to talk with Dr. Choi then came back and said unfortunately $913.00 is the amount I had to pay. I feel I have been lied to and cheated by this clinic. I also just noticed both of my invoices have been made out in my wife's name which they will have to change for my income tax purposes. read more

HORRIBLE - Please avoid this dentist - I wouldn't recommended this dentist to anyone. Awful customer service. My experience left my boyfriend and I feeling robbed, undermined and defeated. My boyfriend went in to a surgery removing all four of his wisdom teeth, a young new patient, first time using his medical coverage plan, the receptionist told him he would only pay 10% of the surgery because his medical covered it. The receptionist, Joyce, told him he was covered for 90% under his medical. Before the surgery he asked her to check if he was to be put out if it would cost him, said she didn't know and she'd check for him, she never did and he was rushed into the surgery. When I came to pick him up after the surgery, him completely sedated, she tells me he has an almost 800$ bill he has to pay from the surgery right then! Because, wait, turns out he had maxed out his plan. They never told him going into the surgery the plan was maxed out and the difference would cost out of pocket.. This was in December, the holidays right around the corner... He had never used his medical and he made that very very clear. Keep in mind that he had been waiting a month for his appointment to get his teeth removed and they made him get a lot of minor work prior... If he had known he would max out and wasn't covered 90% like they had told him, he would have gotten only one wisdom tooth pulled, as he was in a large amount of pain from one tooth. When he gets out of the surgery the receptionist Joyce tells him he needs to pay the owing amount immediately. Then proceeds to tell him he can't talk about it with me because he's sedated. It felt to me like she was trying to cover her mistakes and take the payment immediately, all while he's sedated! I then told them he cant pay that right now as he simply can't afford it, she rudely says "well it's all already done.". From there on out she them told him HE should look into his coverage, why wasn't this communicated prior and why did she say she would do it for him..? They didn't work with the medical plan or their client, they only cared about collecting payment and not how their customer was dealt with. Very unprofessional the entire experience, they've lost a new customer and all they care about now is the money, which I now know was their only concern from the get go. read more

If there was an opportunity to give no stars, I would have! Do NOT go here!! Abuses insurance claims and when you request copies of your xrays (from another dental office) they won't give them up! Staff was extremely rude on the phone and after my cleaning I had to go and floss to remove something from between my teeth. Who doesn't floss as part of a cleaning?? TERRIBLE!! read more

This past month, at my new dentist, my x-rays showed that they had not fully removed all of the cavities in each tooth and had put the filling in on top of them. My dentist felt so bad for the profession he redid them for free. Stay AWAY. Clearly inadequate skills. read more
