I paid for 450$ worth of botox here and it lasted less than one month. I had previously had botox about 12-15 times, (from other doctors) and it always lasted 3+ months. When I called to get it fixed they told me I would have to pay again. I asked for the doctor to first look at what had happened and then to discuss who pays, and they refused. *Long but worth the read* *this is my experience and my opinion* Based on other reviews made on this place and this dentist it seems like the issues are very common. Failed root canals. Fillings that hurt months after. Nonchalant attitudes, poorly performed procedures, money hungry etc.... Me and my family came to this dentist and will never be coming back. My cleanings were painful. My daughter had no complaints. But the BUTCHERED job Dr Ziv did on my husband is unacceptable. We have pursued legal action as the new dentist we went to has confirmed all root canals, fillings etc.. done by dr Ziv could have been done better (for better choice of words). Every single tooth worked on him has been injured by her. Her attitude in the office is unwelcoming. Every appointment we had we noticed she had upset clients as they were either leaving or in her chair. A tool was dropped causing a chipped tooth for my husband upon fixing another chipped tooth. We initially went to her for a root canal and crown. She did not finish the root canal (did it poorly) did not put a crown on it either but instead decided to work on every other tooth before finishing initial request. We had to get every single tooth she worked on fixed by a different dentist. She was more concerned about receiving money from poorly done fillings she did then finishing initial request which was a root canal. She killed the nerve of my husbands front tooth. We just had enough. After multiple Hundreds of dollars given to her, and about 6 thousand dollars minimum to fix her mistakes at another dentist we had enough. I recently received a phone call from a no caller id which was someone in Her office (i believe it was her) accusing me of defamation and telling me Google security was involved to pursue legal action over the review as it was untrue. But my experience was not untrue, it was just posted under the wrong email (MY APOLOGIES)! But i have done right by removing the said posting and reposting on this correct email. Just wanting to put my families experience out here. To recap. Every single tooth she worked on for my husband has died or been injured. When mistakes were made we were still expected to pay for the "fix". And i have been given the ultimatum to remove my comment or deal with her legal action. Please beware on posting negative reviews on this clinic as you also will be called under an unknown number and threatened with legal action. "Google security will track down my ip address and file a lawsuit against me and she will have proof of conversation as it was being recorded as we spoke. Under no warning" as stated by "the anonymous caller on behalf of this clinic". She said my husband's teeth were already cracked (but did not acknowledge i was talking about the crack after her appointment) then proceeded to tell me she will pull up his file right now, i told her it was not legal for her to pull it up as she is not the dentist she said she has access to it and can pull it up and i should stop telling her whats legal and what isnt so she CAN pull it up it is 100% legal ( but, Called of a No Caller ID and did not confirm if she was the dentist to have access to his files. To be cautious i told her not to open his file and i ended the call as it is illegal to go over someones medical History to another person especially through the phone without their consent and my husband was not around to consent.) unfortunately for her, her scare tactic DID NOT work, her unprofessionalism showed today during the No Caller ID phone call i received today. If anyone would like to know what dentist has fixed her mistakes i would be glad to share! And if anyone has any questions or would like to follow up on this review feel free to email me! I've been seeing Dr. Ziv for years now, and when I started she had her work cut out for her. I'd not been to a dentist for probably 6 or 7 years. So, unfortunately for me, there was some work to do. I had several descaling cleanings and fillings done throughout the course of a year. I'm always impressed by the service offered by Dr. Ziv and her staff. Everyone is pleasant and accomodating, they use the latest technology to show you what is happening in your mouth and why things are needed, and most importantly of all - they're gentle. I mean, whenever I've had to get a filling, I haven't felt a thing. And if I twinge in the chair, Dr. Ziv instantly calls for more freezing to ensure I'm comfortable. So all I need to do is sit back and watch tv on the ceiling if I feel like it; I'm not going to feel anything else. This is a GREAT place to go to get your dental work done. At first i loved this place but the more i went the more i kind of feel they treated my insurance. Got a root canal and 24 hours later i bit into a sandwich and felt a crack. The next day i went back and i was seen by another dentist. She said my tooth was cracked. When i returned the next day to see dr beers she said it wasn't cracked. I went here once off of a family member's recommendation. The dental hygienist was thorough but way too rough. My teeth hurt all day after I left (and not from poor hygiene - which would be a fair assumption but wrong, none-the-less). The worst part however was that the Dr.Ziv brought up having Botox injections without me initiating the conversation. A family member of mine had Botox injected by Dr. Ziv and I can assume they discussed the possibility of me being interested in getting it but I still think it is highly unprofessional of her to mention it first. The truth is, I humored this relative when she asked me if I wanted to do it because I didn't want to offend her. When Dr. Ziv brought it up I felt uncomfortable. She even went further to say I should do it as a preventative precaution and suggested I get it injected in between my eyebrows where lines were already forming. Ok- first of all, can I just get my teeth cleaned? I left there feeling highly insecure about my face after that conversation - something I definitely don't need. Secondly, Botox is a luxury expense that working class people can't afford to waste their money on. At the time I was just out of a job, and I explained this to her. I just don't understand how someone who is supposed to be a professional doesn't understand about crossing the line and professional boundaries. The front-end people were lovely when I visited but I also explained to them that I was out of a job and couldn't make any further appointments until after I starting working again and my new benefits kicked in. I asked them to hold off until that time but they started calling me within a month to re-book anyway. It made me wonder if they didn't listen to me at all or if they just saw me as a number. That is what it felt like. Anyway, there are so many dentists and this location is not close to my house so its just as well. read more

Finally I have found an amazing dentist!!! I didn't think it existed. I live in Los Angeles and while up in Vancouver a friend recommended Dr.Ziv to me. It was a bit of a drive out of the city but so worth it! I have seriously seen so many dentists over the years and I was blown away by Dr. Ziv. I had my old Mercury fillings removed and refilled and she literally did it in half the time than my previous dentists. I don't ever have to go back for a follow up to get the filling filed down again because she gets it right the first time. Dr. Ziv is constantly up to date on the latest techniques, software and new technology. Unlike most dentists, she continues to educate herself which to me speaks volumes. I usually hate the dentist but I am so at ease in her office and I've never had a bad experience. I save all my dentist appointments for when I'm up in Vancouver now. We have had horrible luck finding the right dentist, until now. Someone recommended we try Newton dental clinic. I was apprehensive because we live in Langley and I thought it would be too far to drive. It takes me 15 mins and worth every minutes. My 3 boys love the staff and the dentist did a awesome job on my sons root canal and front tooth. I am so glad we changed I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone. My 7 year old daughter experienced extreme trauma a year and a half ago that made her fearful and mistrustful. She has soft teeth and developed some very deep cavities. We have been to 3 dentists in the last few months and none could hardly get her to open her mouth let alone fix her teeth! I was really scared because as a single mom I can not even come close to affording the thousands it would cost to see a specialist! Dr. Kim is my hero! This morning she performed 3 fillings on my daughter! She was so patient and encouraging but at the same time wouldn't let my daughter give up! When Dr. Kim was finished she seemed genuinely proud of her and it felt like she truly cared. I actually almost cried. Lol. My daughter left Newton Dental smiling and feeling proud of herself. Not only did Dr. Kim save her teeth, she helped in the re building of my daughter's self esteem and sense of security. I am so grateful to Dr. Kim, she is truly a special person. read more
