    "Green"

I wish there was a 0 star review. $41 to play this joke of a course. You would think the greens haven't seen water in 3 months. Every green has at least 30 feet covered in dead grass with clovers growing in. The bunkers appear to be tropical rain forests. I mean there is not one square foot of real sand in the bunkers. There is residents backyards next to the course with grass 10x better than the playing surface this course provides. I'd highly recommend you save your money and go somewhere else.

As a member of the local PGA Section, I'm fortunate to play many of the courses in the area. This was by far the best condition I have seen the course in. I can tell the hard work they put into the course over the off-season is paying off. They've changed a few greens, removed bunkers, reshaped a couple of holes, the greens were as good as I've seen them, rough was lush, fairways coming in nicely.

Great for beginners. The course is forgiving and laid back. Willow Springs doesn't have all of the amenities another course might have, but that's okay if you're still trying to sharpen your skills. Bring newbies, children, or veteran players who aren't trying to take the 18 too seriously. My friends and I had a great time!

Took my son there today to play nine holes since he is just starting out. Very nice layout with lots of par 3's and short par fours. The greens were in good shape but some of the fairways still had a lot of water from poor drainage. I enjoyed the one Par 5 hole which you can easily reach the green in two so if you have never had an eagle this is your best chance. We did not use the driving range but it is very well maintained and not crowded at all. Tip of the day - seniors which they regard after 50 pay the reduced rates. I enjoyed the course and will come again but only when it dries out more

The Korean launch monitor system, Golfzon, is good but doesn't get the refined data that the highest end monitors can. The graphics for the system are just okay. The golf balls used are really a toss up. The system auto loads a golf ball onto the tee, which is really cool, but about a third of the time I was trying to load another ball in better shape. You can't use your own there either since they are collected underneath the mat. We rented a bay and were given some complimentary popcorn which was a nice touch. They have a bar area, but we didn't explore their menu this time. Next time, hopefully, I will get a chance to do that. One big drawback is there is only one monitor that has a left-handed setup which is in the back. The putting green is in the middle of the space right when you walk in, but I can't imagine many if any people use it. But there is a nice sitting area in the middle where you can wait until your rented bay opens up. With three of us, we played 18 in two hours easily. And that's with some lag time to warm up and get used to the system. We will be back for sure!

From day one, Mike took me back to the fundamentals--grip, stance, and swing. I quickly realized the importance of consistency every time I addressed the ball. As the weeks progressed, he incorporated swing analysis data and identified key areas for improvement. One major breakthrough was recognizing that I wasn't properly shifting my weight. Once I learned to feel that shift, we moved on to refining my swing plane, making it more shallow and efficient. Each session built upon the last, and with Mike's expert guidance, I was able to create new standards and lock them into my muscle memory. His approach is not only technically sound but also personalized and empowering. Thanks to Mike, my driving distance increased from an average of 158 yards to 185 yards. My irons now have a higher launch angle, and I'm consistently hitting my targets. He also introduced me to the fundamentals of AimPoint putting, and I'm now finishing more holes with pars and birdies. Mike Dickson is truly one of the best in the game--and this is exactly why he's one of the Top 100 Golf Instructors in the U.S. As long as he's teaching, I'll be taking lessons from him. I highly recommend working with Mike if you're serious about elevating your game--he's a total game-changer!

After some research, I thought @GolfHouse would be a great first experience for him since they offer junior coaching and it's similar to a video game. When I emailed them with questions, they were the most quick and complete in response than any of the other Ashburn area courses. At this point we're 3 sessions in. Coach Ju Hee is very professional and confident, but has just the right style to keep my 10 year old engaged. In each session she has walked the line effectively between correcting swing issues and helping him understand how the game works, while also keeping it fun and engaging for him, which is probably the most important part at this point. The sessions involved 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of free time in the bay which I'll sometimes use to take a few swings with my son. So far, this seems to be the right mix. Coach also shared the before/after swing photo I posted from session 2. While I'm not sure if other local coaches have this type of tech, I think this is a significant advantage because of the real-time feedback and insight it gives her into exactly what is happening. It's also great for us to see the progress he's making. Overall, I definitely would recommend @GolfHouse and Coach Ju Hee for lessons. At some point I'll probably book a bay with some of my friends who are more serious golfers during a lesson and see what they think about it.

We have come here on several occassions to either play at the driving range or to do a full 18-hole golf tournament. The drive in from the main road is nothing like any of the golf courses in the area. Staff are friendly, the grounds are nicely kept. Fresh cut green grass, rolling hills, and ruins of different buildings. Each portion of the course has a different feeling and there is even one hole in the back of the course that is very quiet and serene. There were a few times that we have seen golf balls from other holes fly near us, which was unsettling but other than that the course is quiet and peaceful. Golf carts have GPS maps along with hole distances. The food in the clubhouse is basically fried food, I would expect higher quality from a golf course this nice. The clubhouse could use an overhaul on the decor but otherwise it is in good condition. We have really enjoyed each time coming here and can't wait to be back in the spring.
