Unfortunately, my experience at Willow Grove Beverage was less than satisfactory, primarily due to…read morethe poor attitude of the counter person. From the moment I approached the counter, it was clear they were not in a good mood. There was no greeting, no smile, and absolutely no attempt at basic customer service. Instead, I was met with an unfriendly demeanor and a tone that made it seem like I was inconveniencing them by being there. I understand that everyone has bad days, but as the face of the business, it's important to at least make an effort to treat customers respectfully. This kind of negativity makes for a very unpleasant experience, and honestly, it made me want to take my business elsewhere. Aside from that, the store itself is okay in terms of selection and cleanliness, but the atmosphere is completely ruined by the lack of warmth and professionalism from the staff. It's a shame because this could be a decent spot if the customer service improved. I hope the management takes notice and works to address this issue because first impressions matter, and this one was far from good.

I just read that other review and all I can say is I've had nothing but really great service from here. Most places RUSH you out of the store 15 mins before closing time, like the store right next to me, but at WGB the guys are willing to help you even if it's time to close. The only bad thing I would say is that their prices are higher than most and a small bottle of wine might run you 2x as much. But you take that into account for other things like them being open until 11:00 pm.

You need to train your cashiers about rounding pennies. I shop here all the time, and the bill…read morecomes to $3.27. Since they stopped accepting pennies, they always round down to $3.25. But today, the young man cashier insisted I owe him the $ .02. I told him, "No, you don't accept pennies." He took my items and said I can't have them then. So I put a $5 on the counter and demanded to see the manager. The cashier said to me, " I don't wanna hear another f**king thing out of you!"As he walked to the back to get the manager. When the manager came up, he charged me the $3.25 and apologized, but he dismissed the employees behavior, saying that he was 'having a bad day'. REALLY!?!? I work in customer service, and at NO TIME, is it appropriate for an employee to talk to a customer like that. I will be filing a formal complaint.

Fairway is a great small business with some of the friendliest owners you will ever meet. I think I told them my name once a long time ago, and they address me by it every time I come in. They are also very knowledgeable about beer. They will give you recommendations, release dates, etc. They will even offer to text or call you when a particular beer you are looking for arrives. The store is a small space, but they make the most out of it. They always have a wide variety of craft beers both local and from afar. If they don't have what you want, they will make an effort to get it for you, or help you find it some where. It might seem like you're walking through stacks of randomly placed beers, but after a couple visits you get a good feel for what types of beer are at what locations in the store. They also sell lottery tickets, which seems to pretty popular among the other patrons I see. Overall, Fairway is a great place for beer drinkers who you will feel good about giving patronage too.

Snagged a 30 pack for $29.99, which was a win. Now here's the part I was NOT prepared for!! As soon as we walked in, a very large cat came strolling from the back like it owned the place I'm terrified of cats AND allergic, so I immediately turned right back around. Had a whole moment at the door trying to gather myself lol. The cat was definitely friendly... but yeah, that threw me all the way off. Eventually I made my way in, got it together, and completed my purchase. Outside of my unexpected cat encounter, the store itself is solid good size, nice beer selection, snacks, lottery, ATM, all that. The guy at the counter was super friendly and engaging too. Overall: They had exactly what they said they would, which I appreciate. Just... maybe be ready to meet the unofficial store mascot when you walk in Would still come back (just mentally prepared next time).
