At night's end, not missing a step, she had the getaway car packed and awaiting the new Mr. & Mrs., sparklers passed out, arms open sending Allie and Alex off with hugs. I was worried that a coordinator would mean extra expenses as we tried to match the Instagram-perfect wedding, but instead she helped us figure out how to create the wedding that fit within our idea and financial limitations. I was originally interested in hiring Gabby due to her experience at South Coast Botanic Garden. Upon first meeting her in January, I felt an immediate connection to her & a sense of confidence in her experience,. I chose the "Month of" package, but she was always available for questions, answers, recommendations & support throughout the months leading up. In fact, my husband and I went on an international trip during a critical planning phase (it was my brother's wedding), and while I was away, she connected with multiple vendors on my behalf in order to keep the process going. This was extremely helpful during such a busy time. Throughout planning, Gabby gave excellent recommendations for vendors & general flow of events. I ended up using many of her vendor recs who were all outstanding, and her timeline recs were very helpful. But where Gabby shined the most for me was the day of. She is literally worth EVERY PENNY. I never thought once about where to be or go, nor did I have to interface with any vendor to ensure things were going as planned. We held a small meeting (37 attendees) for a one-day training in the Lower Level Meeting rooms. It…read moreturned out to be a great space for us. We requested that the classroom tables be set up with power strips so that attendees could plug in their mobile devices and they were very appreciative of that. Wifi is very reliable and free, which is nice. Surprisingly, we did find that the microphone was needed to hear the speaker, even in so small of a room. The staff was very responsive and helpful and made sure that I had their phone number with me the day of so that they could be on-call for us. Being on the lower level made it really easy to keep our meeting contained and we had everything at our fingertips (bathrooms, water fountains, vending machines.) We requested some parking spaces for event staff and so we were able to park in the garage, which is just outside the Lower Level meeting rooms. I highly recommend taking advantage of that for your event staff and VIPs and those with accessibility needs.

How do you buy a $4300 wedding dress and end up spending another $3650 so she can wear it on her…read morewedding day? This is how. Beware!! The shop owner is a great sales person but then..... We purchased my daughter's wedding dress in February for a June 8 wedding. Because of out tight time line we had difficulty finding a dress that could be made and here in time for fittings ( or so we were told ) We selected a sample that was in the store from Lela Rose with full assurance that the alterations that would need to be made in order for the dress to fit properly and provide the coverage the bride wanted could be achieved. We endured 4 fittings, all resulting in failed attempts to do what had been promised could be achieved by Karen, the owner of the shop. The attempts to create modesty were simply to make the front of the dress tighter and tighter, which because of the design created enormous pressure on the vetebrae at the top of her neck. There was now way she could wear this dress for an entire day. The dress was now filthy from being handled so much and A WEEK BEFORE her wedding we had not resolved the issue. The seamstress sent a text during that week, which we accidentally received, saying she was f*#$@ing sick of working on the dress. What ???? This is a woman's wedding gown, selected for one of the most memorable days of her life. The owners response was that was between us and her. She was a subcontractor from her shop, so I believe that says it all about customer service. At this point we are frantic. I ended up having to fly my daughter to her destination ( our home town on the Florida coast ) with her dress 8 days before her wedding to have someone here, who had the ability, completely remake the top of the dress. The shop did not pay for additional fabric which I found shocking seeing that all this fell on them. Nor did they refund any of the botched alterations fees. So, how do you spend $3650 to have a dress suitable to wear? Failed alterations at the bridal shop. $975, Plane ticket to have dress fixed $800, Additional fabric $575, remake top of dress $1300. My advice. Go somewhere else, go anywhere else, avoid this shop!!!!! Any business will always be welcoming and treat you like they value you as long as they are on the receiving end. A GOOD business is one that will solve the problems that arise when there are problems.

The barn itself is spacious, bright and warm. The table set up and table settings are gorgeous and perfectly manicured for the event at hand. Bathrooms are easily accessible and there are multiple entry and exit points, making for a nice flow during the event. Staff was friendly and helpful, and always available. They were directing traffic, guiding folks to their seats, pointing folks to the restrooms, cleaning up or just being available when needed. Parking seems to be ample, but does fill up very quickly, so best to be early to whatever event you are attending. Entrance to the venue is easy to miss, so be careful when looking for it, especially if it is at night. The road is windy coming in, and opens up to a beautiful landscape with the outdoor venue straight ahead and the barn up on the hill. The backdrop for the venue is excellent all around. If you have never been to Beechgrove before, be prepared and make all your pitstops before getting off the exit. For a few miles, the only things are this venue and a nearby Shell station. Overall, the venue did a phenomenal job. Happy to have been part of something so special as such a special place!

I am so happy to see that Ann is still the owner. We made an appointment online, and on the day of our appointment Carol took care of us. I was able to bring 3 of my closest friends with me to my appointment, and there was seating provided for them while they waited to see the gowns. We were directed where to look for gowns my size, and were given so many wonderful options. Overall I tried on 6-7 dresses, and never felt rushed or pressured to make a purchase. The appointment lasts for 90 minutes total. Carol took care of us by listening to comments and observations, and then made suggestions and recommendations to try. I put my full trust in Carol, because thanks to her recommendations I found a dress that made me FEEL like a bride! I was there to try on different silhouettes, and while I did not say yes to the dress (yet), I believe they serve champagne once you purchase a gown. Their prices are very reasonable, and they will ask you for your budget so that they can direct you where to look on the racks and make realistic recommendations. If your budget is $5,000 or less, then this shop has the selection for you! I cannot wait to come back to check out their other options (mother-of-the bride gowns, especially), and take another look through their gorgeous gowns.
