One of the most exciting times of life is having a daughter to celebrate when the man she loves ask her to marry him. We just had an elegant back yard wedding and used Christina as our wedding "day-of" planner. We're both self employed in our thirties and figured we didn't need to spend the money on a planner. "We could do it ourselves" we said. We agreed to meet with her anyway and thought it couldn't hurt and maybe it'd be worth it. Within 10 minutes of her being here on the initial meeting she had already brought up a dozen things we hadn't thought of or even knew we needed to figure out. That was about 45 days from the wedding. We were in contact nearly every day after that about some detail of the wedding she wanted to be sure was perfect - even though she was just our day-of planner. I remember my (now) wife and I talking about it, that even if she didn't do anything on the wedding day itself her fee was already justified. Then the wedding day came around. Her and her assistant spent over 12 hours here coordinating, directing, and physically moving things around. During the ceremony I realized I had never gave my best man the rings and I was freaking out. But when the officiant asked for them, he had them. Christina had made sure he had them. Christina planned our September 2015 wedding in Nashville, TN. We live 500 miles away, travel frequently for work, and had a relatively short 9-month engagement. I literally wrote this about Christina in April and saved it as a note to make sure I could capture my feelings in a review: After about 24 hours of being engaged, I realized I couldn't plan our wedding without help. We are getting married in Nashville but live in Mississippi. I needed someone on the ground with extensive knowledge of Nashville wedding vendors. I researched a ton of wedding planners but the second I spoke to Christina on the phone, I knew she was the one for us. Our wedding is not until July but after working with Christina for almost 6 months, I can safely say she was the absolute best decision we've made. She has made every single piece of wedding planning as stress-free as possible. We opted for the full planning option. She knows every vendor in Nashville and has good insight about all vendor options. She started with our overall budget and our "non-negotiables". From there, she created our budget breakdown and sends all of our vendor options without that budget. She has set up all meetings with vendors, tours of venues, handled contract negotiations, and tells us where / when to send payments. Not only does she have an incredible eye and keen attention to detail, but she is sweet and fun to be around. She has really gotten to know me and my fiancee - who we are and what we want our day to be like. Planning a wedding from afar is not ideal, but hiring Christina made the process as seamless as possible. Anytime I've had a "crisis" (and I've had a few...), I've made one call to Christina and she has a solution in minutes. We have absolutely loved working with her and already know that our day will be perfect because of her. Now back to present day. Our wedding was July 15 and it was honestly more perfect than we ever dreamed. Lifesaving! Opted for the "Middle of the Road" package (not full wedding planning, but more than day of) with this lovely duo. Worked with Alessa based out of LA, who was a God-send! We started contact about 1 year before the wedding. She provided us with a wedding checklist, master spread-sheets, and basic guidance for how to go about setting up the perfect wedding. We met in person with Alessa about 8 months before the wedding to touch base in addition to intermittent emails and phone calls to check in. She guided us through the entire process as we approached the day of the wedding. Tough issues she helped us navigated include (but are nowhere limited to): Inviting twice as many guests as our venue could hold, surprise guest additions up to the day of the wedding, at least 10 last minute changes (including time of pick-up from the wedding for my wife and I). Alessa bore the brunt of full contact with all the vendors and ensuring the day went off without a hitch. My family and I were delighted to be able to focus on the joy of the day as opposed to the details of the event. During the event, she ensured that my wife and I got to take photos with key family members, got to eat both our salad and dinner plates, and had about 15 minutes of just "us" time prior to all the craziness of the event. I was planning our reception party from San Diego (party to be held in Nashville), so I wasn't sure how logistical things could get planning from the opposite side of the country. Every single step was ease-filled and thoroughly executed. I can honestly tell you I was not once stressed in the planning process once Christina came on board. I'm pretty bad at decision making so literally asked Christina to "surprise" me with decisions like linens colors, which games we should have available, etc for our party and when I walked in, I was so pleased! It was gorgeous! Her assistants Lucie & Sarah were our on-site contacts and my whole family was FLOORED at how great they were! Everything was collected, boxed and packed into my parents car while I was playing cornhole towards the end. On referral we hired Emma as our day of wedding coordinator. She was simply amazing! I was hesitant to hire a coordinator because I wasn't sure it was necessary but boy is the money worth it. Before the day of we did a walk though of the venue with Emma and I was so impressed by her professionalism and detail oriented nature. I cannot imagine how the wedding day would have gone without Emma there (nor do I want to...). Our venue was somewhat hard to work with (mixed up our rentals with another party, didn't communicate, etc.) and Emma was there to pick up the pieces and put them back together at every point. Never once during the wedding day did I feel like I needed to worry about anything because Emma was behind the scenes making everything happen: she poured water for guests, made sure the DJ had the toss bouquet at the right time, kept the timetable moving, magically packed up the entire reception area so when the night was done, all we had to do was go straight to the car, and she did it all with a smile. However, as it turned out, there were many bumps in the road during the 6 month planning period for my daughter's wedding in Nashville. She came across very arrogant, condescending and quite rude at times. If we could have hired someone else in the short time we had, we would have done so. The stress that was added to both the bride, groom and parents was unbelievable. Everything behind the scenes went wrong, she had no clue how to handle any crisis. She was completely unprofessional. She was dressed in warm-ups during the upscale evening wedding of 250 guests. She was pushy and bossy and made my daughter cry before and during the wedding procession.
