As a Type-A person, I felt confident I wouldn't need a coordinator for our wedding. It would be filled with close friends and family who would all be willing to chip in the day of to get things done, and I didn't want outsiders there changing the atmosphere anyways. As it got closer to the wedding, I heard a wonderful quote: "Your wedding is as special for your friends and family as it is for you. If you don't take care of things during the day of the wedding, they will spend it taking care of things rather than enjoying/celebrating you in your marriage." That quote hit home, and I knew it was time to call in help. Cause We Can Events' Instagram and website speaks to the beauty of their weddings, but it doesn't highlight how great they are to work with. From the beginning, Jessica heard the vision we had for our wedding and figured out how to make it happen. I was worried that a coordinator would mean extra expenses as we tried to match the Instagram-perfect wedding, but instead she helped us figure out how to create the wedding that fit within our idea and financial limitations. Jessica helped us end the party an hour early when everyone was too tired (I swear it wasn't lame, just a long day), made a good effort to balance handling decisions versus asking our preference, and managed the waiters/set-up excellently. My husband was most amazed when Jessica and her assistant had already made/started passing out coffee when he realized we needed to sober some guests up as they prepared for the bus to the hotel. My husband & I married in June 2017. Our wedding was an all day event. Our first ceremony was a Hindu wedding at South Coast Botanic Gardens starting at 1pm. Second ceremony (non-denominational) and reception was at Pointe Vicente Interpretive Center from 5 - 10pm. It was an intimidating day to plan to say the least. I was originally interested in hiring Gabby due to her experience at South Coast Botanic Garden. Upon first meeting her in January, I felt an immediate connection to her & a sense of confidence in her experience,. I chose the "Month of" package, but she was always available for questions, answers, recommendations & support throughout the months leading up. Gabby was a DREAM to work with...her team was everything we needed and more! We had signed on Gabby for a Month-of Coordinating package, and from the get-go she was a dream to work with. Unlike many others in the wedding biz, she didn't give us the saccharine razzle dazzle or insincere over-dramatization of our "special day." She was down-to-earth, authentic, and treated our day as something that was to be taken seriously, but not so much as if lives were at stake (it's a party, people). What would we have done without Gabby?? I'm a wedding photographer and my now husband is an architect so we had some very specific ideas of what we wanted for our wedding and none of them were traditional. Gabby was available to us for the month before our wedding to help with coordinating and last minute projects, and you would have never have guessed that she was also coordinating multiple weddings in the same month. Gabby was the absolute best! We hired Gabby to help with the month of our Wedding, but she was so happy to help and give advice whenever we had any questions as far as vendors, decor, rentals, etc. along the way! She was incredibly professional and always on top of her emails all while she was about to get married herself! Our wedding was about a week or two after hers and she never let that get in the way of anything. I met Gabby at an event and from out first random follow up about doing my wedding she was warm, professional and easy to talk to. Gabby came highly recommended by our photographer, so I obviously stalked her on social media and found that many of her interests and her own proposal story mirrored mine. We had an initial meeting (in which we had an instant meeting of the minds) for formality sake, but I already secretly knew I wanted her with her beautiful personality and infectious positive energy to rein in my OCD and bring a vision that was largely and almost exclusively in my head to fruition. We got married on my uncle-in-law's ranch in Ojai, CA at the end of March (2017) and Gabby joined us there a couple times through the planning process to work out logistics, and of course partake in the well-deserved persimmon and tangerine breaks! The week before our wedding, the weather forecast was oscillating between rain and no rain for our wedding day, and Gabby was right there with us, tracking the weather like a meteorologist-in-residence. When your close friends and family live far away, and you're having a non-traditional wedding of sorts, it is Gabby's excitement about your wedding day, as if it were her own, that serves as a gentle reminder how special this day will really be. ...and this all before the actual wedding day! There are no words to describe how Gabby and her assistant Mayra effortlessly turned a seemingly ordinary family ranch into a magical mystical bohemian playground. I spent months visualizing what the venue would look like and how everything would play out logistically, turning my loft into a DIY wedding workshop, and she surpassed my wildest dreams. Cause We Can Events hosted a Launch Party in West Los Angeles for one of my client's in March of 2013. From the initial meeting to the day of the event, the owner, Gabrielle Norton, was highly efficient, professional and helped us to stay within budget. Gabby arranged catering, hostesses and as a nice added touch, partnered with a local winery to provide several bottles of wine to share with our guests. It was such a success that I hired Cause We Can Events again to host my official book signing event on July 25th, 2013 at the Beverly Hills Country Club and it was a SUCCESS!! Gabby and her team brought great energy, greeted my guests warmly, and provided professional photography. I met Gabby through our florist who highly recommended Gabby for event coordination for my daughter's wedding which was yesterday at the Adamson House in Malibu. Although I had found terrific vendors before having the pleasure of meeting Gabby, she really brought it all together with her experience, creativity, keen eye for detail and professionalism. She took the reigns and worked brilliantly with our guitarist during the ceremony, the band during cocktail hour, and the DJ and band alternating during the actual reception.
