This review is limited to the atmosphere and interaction with the staff since we never had a chance to order let alone try the food or have a beverage. Had a reservation & got seated quickly but things kinda went south from there. Waitress took drink order after sighing because we hadn't been given menus. Told her we needed to order because we were going to a concert and that was the last we saw her. The last couple times we tried to visit we were told they were all booked up and required a reservation. So made a reservation today, when we arrived was told they were all booked. When I mentioned our reservation we were seated in a restaurant that had 4 occupied tables. Stayed that way for our entire visit. This is also one of those restaurants that apparently decide to change their menu and get rid of the only truly good items. Was looking so forward to my meal only to open the menu and see that it has been tossed to the curb. Will never go back. read more

Just moved to the area. Had heard great things about it, so I thought I would give it a try. Ordered the Hungarian soup to start which had a little spice to it, but it was very tasty. Ordered the 12 oz. Porkchop with green beans and bacon. It was by far one of the best porkchops I have eaten. The staff was very courteous. The atmosphere is intimate. I can't say enough good things about my first dinning experience at Willow Bistro. Looking forward to coming back very soon to try something else on the menu. read more

I came all the way from Maryland to celebrate my aunt's 60 and my cousin's 46 birthday. We had a reservation for 20 people at 7:30. When we arrived, and no seats were reserved for us. When we did get our seats, it took a little over an hour before we got acknowledged by a waitress. We did not even have menus. We did not get a menu until the "Public Relations" lady came and gave them to us after we got our drinks. When we got our drinks, the waitresses gave us a glass bottle of water and said for your refills. My table was the only table in the restaurant that did not order alcoholic beverages. It then took almost 20 minutes for us to put in our food orders. It took about 20-30 minutes for us to get the side salads that came with our order, but the entrees never came. We also asked them to turn on the heat which because we were on a outdoor patio that was enclosed in a back corner. We never got our food. When it hit the two-hour mark, we tried to leave, and we explained to them that we never got our food. We were given the impression that our food was never even cooked we were told we couldn't. The male host ran into the kitchen to see what was going on. Then the bartender asked us what was going on. We told her our issue, and then she ran into the kitchen. They both came out, and the waitress got frustrated and told us, "just leave, just leave" multiple times. One of the persons in my party got upset with the person and then the bartender yelled "this is fine dining" (which it is not). I would not recommend this place for large parties or for people who do not drink alcohol. read more

This is a solid 4 stars. This is a new place, or so I am told, and they are doing all the right things in my opinion. I got to try a lot off the menu and just about everything was good or great. So to start we got fried ravioli and some wings with the willow sauce. The fried rav was good, nothing special. The wings we really good, I especially liked the willow sauce. The waitress compared it to a mix of mild sauce and honey mustard sauce and it was pretty accurate. And delicious. Then I got some French onion soup which was very good and a Grecian salad. Omg. I could eat that Grecian salad every day of my life. It was phenomenal. Then I got a willow wrap and it good, nothing special. I got to try the philly wrap, which they make with prime rib and it phenomenal as well. Probably the best thing we had on the table. I also tried the teriyaki salmon with Mediterranean rice. The salmon was good, cooked well and tasty but that Mediterranean rice was to die for. If you leave without trying it you are missing out. The Katy fries were unique and very good as well. The service was pretty good, I would say it was the best I have had but def not the worst. I will absolutely be back here. Found this little place by accident during the summer. The kabobs are wonderful and are made using pieces of filet served with Mediterranean rice. It is my favorite there. This place is a great alternative to the chain restaurants and is definitely worth a try. read more

This was my second visit to Willow Bistro and the fourth for the friend who accompanied me. We arrived just as dinner service was beginning. Reviews for Willow have been outstanding and this is just to say "Amen"! Matt was our waiter and after giving us menus to review, he recommended the Willow Platter with beef. On my first visit, which I reviewed here a few months ago, I had the pork chop which was delicious, but opted this time for Matt's recommendation, as did my dinner companion, From the fresh, warm bread served with softened butter to the last bite of the shish-ka-bob, salad and rice on our platters, there was nothing disappointing about our meal. I am looking forward to returning and doing it all over again! read more

Tried this for the first time the other night as a date night with my husband. I ordered a scallop special with a balsamic reduction on top of parmesan risotto. It was so delicious! The flavors were right on point & the scallops just melted in my mouth. My husband ordered a strip steak & loved it. It was cooked exactly how he wanted it. The house pinot noir was also very good & fresh. The waitress was very nice & attentive to us. The atmosphere was very cozy & romantic. Will definitely visit here again! read more

Do not patronize this business!! Their employees are rude and the Management is unprofessional! I was diagnosed with food poisoning from eating there! I called several times to inform the Owner/Manager about the situation which I received the runaround till after the fourth attempt! The Owner had no empathy or compassion & had the audacity to tell me I was a liar and to Never call her business again and blankly hung up on me! I have Never been treated like this at any establishment!!! Their arrogance, apathy, and the lack of professionalism was ignorant and very poor service!! This was a nice, surprising find...definitely flying under the radar. Located in a strip plaza, they don't even have a permanent sign up yet. The vibe they are trying to create in there is a cool, calm bistro with a melting pot of food styles. You can get a burger here, a nice salmon dish, prime rib, various wraps and so on. The food was quite good. The two things I was told that were a "must try" was the Mediterranean rice and the Katy fries. Neither disappointed and the rice is a really nice complement to about any dish. It sounds like they use a lot of prime rib - my itself or on a sandwich - so I'll probably go that route the next time. I like the environment they have here with paintings on the wall (although some seem out of place that doesn't go quite with the rest of the place) and a nice clean bar. They don't have much of a digital footprint so it may be tough to find a menu or get much details before you go, but take my word for it and try it for a nice casual dinner. read more

As others have mentioned Willow is hidden in a strip mall so it's easy to miss. As we entered the doors we found a small but vibrant dining area. The menu is somewhat limited but they do offer a nice variety of items including steaks, seafood, pasta and a number of nightly specials. I went with the filet and gouda mac and cheese while my wife chose the shrimp scampi with sweet corn risotto. Both elections were exceptional. We will definitely be back. read more

I reviewed this restaurant a year or so ago and loved the prime rib and mushroom risotto. I had a chance to visit a few times in the last year and did again tonight and this time asked, is there anything better than the prime rib, I wanted something different. The owner shared that the Porkchop and sweetcorn risotto was the most popular so I thought I would give it shot. Hands down, the best porkchop I have ever eaten. I was actually able to request medium rare/medium and it was cooked perfectly. It was a double chop and quite frankly amazing. The sweet corn risotto was sweet and salty with real parmesan reggiano. Unbelievable!!! Next, the wine list, I dinged Willow a year ago for the wine list.Tonight, 4 levels of wine from Round Pond, Brothers Ridge, Groth, to Sequoia Grove (freaky good) to Roth, to Krug, Martini, etc. I was most impressed with not so much the quantity, but these are all really premium for their price range. I have to say, it was an amazing night. The staff was attentive and awesome but the food, wow the food was amazing. read more

Living in Canton is not an excuse for poor quality food. I was very hopeful but my hopes were dashed. Willow needs to take some advice on how to flavor pasta dishes from its amazing neighbor Lucca. I tried the overpriced vodka cream pasta which had neither vodka nor cream in its sauce. Sauce was watery and flavorless. The pasta was overdone and did not hold any of the sauce. I can forgive lackluster food but not negligent service. Service started well but after taking our order she disappeared. We did not hear a listing of nightly specials (that I am assuming-after tasting the pasta - were more than likely not that special), nor were we offered coffee or dessert. I just drove back from lunch in Cleveland where I had amazing food-which local restaurants in Canton need to take into consideration - we will take leave Canton and drive to Cleveland for better food options!! This hidden wine bistro has the makings of a cozy, neighborhood winebar. The decor was soothing, the house red was smooth and well rounded, and the locals at the bar were laughing and enjoying the evening. The food, however, was quite a disappointment. The drunken pasta must still have been checked out on a bender somewhere, because the version we got was bland, uninspired but perfect if you don't want strong flavor (or any flavor) and like overly large portions. The grilled salmon on top - although cooked perfectly -- was over-salted (but only on half) to the point where even Anne Burrell would agree. Our suggestions are to spice up the sauce (maybe cream, red pepper flakes, kalamata olives and parmesan shavings) and go with a chunky pasta that won't loose the sauce. It would be great to see more small plates and offer 1/2 portions of pasta. The two star rating is for the ambience, the wine and the possibilities. The service was lackadaisical, inattentive and as uninspired as what passed for pasta. read more

Chub club meeting. ( for those of you who don't know... chub club is a group of four fat co workers that go out just to eat good food because we love it, drink and talk about being fat and a lot of dirty women jokes lol). Today we went to Willow on 30th St. in Canton Oh. One of our chub club members was absent today because she decided to go to the beach ( what a beach). There probably wasn't much room left at our table with the other three members anyway. One chub was late ( sitter issues). As soon as she got there she demanded a big glass of Chardonnay before the waiter even had a chance to give his speech of specials. The other two chubs were already working on chocolate martinis. Our waiter was Rocco and he was very friendly and amused by our conversations. We started with loaded potato skins appetizer because we were acting like we haven't ate in days. This appetizer only came with three skins which is not exactly what a hungry girl wants to see however we piled on the sour cream and went to town. They were really good. Then Rocco brought out the bread which was warm and average. They could have softened the butter a little. By this time it was time to bring more drinks he brought samples of Chardonnay for one chub because she is very picky about her wine and the other is a light weight and went with moscato. One chub ordered the pork chop which was seasoned just right and was a large portion along with the Parmesan flavored French fries which were superb. Another chub ordered the wedge salad which no way to go wrong there and the Mac n cheese which was just the right amount of cheese and had bacon in it. Yum ( more bacon please). And the last chub ordered the willow pasta and thought it was very tasty. Sauce was perfect. Large serving, believe it or not she needed a to go box. Of course we had dessert which this was ridiculous. It was a salted Carmel brownie with ice cream and it had a pretzel crust. Needless to say we pretty much licked the plate. When walking in at 5:30 for our reservation we were given a time limit because the next reservation was coming in at 7:15, which we thought was odd. We were served and the food was decent, but at 6:30 our waitress approached us and said we would have to leave since the next party was there, even though we weren't done with our drinks and the next party was 45 minutes early. We called over the man who was walking around checking on tables and asked if he was the manager and he said "Sort of". We told him the what we had been told upon arrival and what the waitress had just said. He defended his server and said that "They have to be considerate of other people and that they are very busy on weekends" Our friend told him that she had never experienced this before and was not planning on coming back. He said "Oh I am sorry to hear that" and proceeded to turn his back on the table and immediately repeated the whole conversation to other customers....before we had even left the table!! I stopped to touch his arm and said "You might want to wait to talk about us until after we leave" and he responded "Yes, I probably should." We were not problem customers, we made no special requests, we did not send anything back. We simply spent $100+ on four so-so meals and drinks (before the tip) and that was only worth the use of their table for an hour. It was all very unprofessional and we will not go back. read more

The food was very good. But our service was so unbelievably bad that it out weighed any chance of returning. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant during our meal. We still had to ask for water multiple times, ask for drinks multiple times, and stack our own dirty dishes on top of each other because our server did not pre buss our table. When our meals arrived he dropped a stack of dishes onto a martini, what we asked for twice, and then asked if we thought glass got onto the entree plate. He took away the plate of food to be replaced, but no one came to clean up the broken glass or the spilled drink, we cleaned it up. It didn't get any better from there. It was sad that we spend what was meant to be an evening celebrating, spending money to be treated so poorly. The worst part was no manager even came to our table. I am chef in a fine dining restaurant this type of service should never be acceptable. Good luck in the future we will not be back, nor will we recommend this place to anyone. read more
