I had dinner at Willow Bistro last evening. I ordered the stuffed hot peppers for an appetizer, the filet kabob for my main course, and a New York cheesecake for dessert. The hot peppers were definitely hot, but not too hot. The fillet kabob came with a salad and rice. I ordered it to be cooked medium rare and it was perfect. The cheesecake was about twice the size that I was expecting. It was excellent as well. I was also served some complimentary bread. Overall, my dining experience last night was excellent. I live just a few minutes from Willow Bistro. I have been there many times and have never had a meal that did not meet or exceed my expectations. Cocktail review only. We stopped in on a Saturday night for an after dinner drink. Grabbed two seats at the bar and really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. It was like a party going on! Everyone was having a great time and it reminded me of the pre-Covid days. Speaking of pre-Covid...I was surprised to see the bartenders not wearing masks. A local small business gem, Willow Bistro is tucked away and provides a great ambiance for a good dinner. Their wine menu is outrageous! Whether you want a $20 bottle of wine or a $300 bottle of wine, they have it! Great appetizers - truly recommend the meatball skillet and the peppers and sausage! While they have a great pork chop my go to are the chicken or beef kabobs. It comes with a great salad and wonderful Syrian rice. I'm not a seafood person but my friends love their seafood selection! Always fresh fish on the daily specials. The restaurant is small and intimate and when the weather is warm they have a beautiful outside bar and seating area. Dear Yelpers, Tucked away in a hidden plaza in the slower part of Canton you'll run into a little cozy dinner they call Willow Bistro. I'll admit, walking in I was a little skeptical. The decor may be a little dated but don't let the dilapidated look fool you, whoever is back there in the kitchen can COOK. First I had the hot Hungarian soup. A true winner for meatatarians like myself. Then I ordered the pork chop and my fiancé fell victim to the salmon. Both were excellently cooked but the pork chop crushed my expectations. If you closed your eyes, you may think you were dining at the best steakhouse around! Now, I will admit, this was easily 2 star service. Things were pretty busy for a Monday night in Canton, but it was an extremely long wait. Hidden Gem! Had family from out of town visiting and Willow was a fantastic recommendation from one of my coworkers. Hunter was a wonderful waitress and offered some great suggestions. Last night we were invited by friends to join them at The Willow for a birthday celebration. We had never eaten here before and were intrigued. It's a smallish place quaint but well decorated. Noisy, if you are looking for a quiet dinner spot this is not the place to go. Staff was very welcoming, informed and ready to answer any questions. Now on to the good stuff .... the food!!! We started with 2 appetizers stuffed peppers, and shrimp. Peppers were not very spicy but amazing. Cooked to perfection. Worth going just for those. The shrimp were also great! I thought it was a classy touch that the owner stopped by and small talked us after our meal. I ordered the filet kabob a d my wife ordered Poppy's lemon chicken. Me meal was delectable. Tender, tasteful, the salad was delicious and the rice was a great side dish. But the Poppy's Lemon chicken stole the show. Where has this been my entire adult chubby life?!?!? Breaded to perfection, moist and that lemon flavor.... wow!!! I love that the butter is seasoned for the bread, the white french dressing for the salad was amazing. pretty much my whole family order the prime rib, but I ordered the drunken pasta. the prime rib was huge and cooked perfectly. the drunken pasta had amazing flavor and the portion was huge. lastly my boyfriend ordered the willow burger with a side of smoked gouda mac and cheese, both of those had amazing flavor. the food is definitely worth going for, all of it was truly amazing. the only thing is, the owner was walking around hugging people she knew without a mask on and didn't even come by our table to see how we were doing. the host was also not wearing a mask and the tables were not six feet apart. We were invited here for dinner and were pleasantly surprised with how good everything tasted and the quality of service. It is located in an unassuming strip plaza so I'm sure many pass by and don't think its anything special. Our table had the pork chop, lemon chicken and chicken parm. All of our food was served hot and full of flavor. I loved that the lemon chicken was topped with fresh lemon and was super juicy. The entrees also came with a side salad which was nice. When we travel back to Ohio, we usually take my parents here to thank them for letting us stay with them. It's a win win! My wife and I have been here a few times and always get a prime rib and a daily special to split. The prime rib is enormous! Even the 12 oz is more than enough meat to satisfy anyone. This past visit we had the jumbo scallops special drizzled in a balsamic reduction and on top of spinach risotto. Oh my goodness! These scallops were amazing! We have had some great scallops in several major metropolitan cities and there held their own. Now onto the main attraction, the prime rib. For some reason my family just loves prime rib. Willow does an excellent job and their meat is always full of flavor and tender. You also get a side salad and side, which this time I got the pasta which hit the spot. The staff has always been professional and attentive. If you are looking for a nice meal to celebrate a birthday or event, definitely give them a look! They do take reservations as well. read more

In town for a wedding and chose Willow because it had good reviews, close-by and not a chain. Although it was early they only had seats at bar available. While my experience expectations dropped at the thought of bar eating, they were quickly dispelled by the warm welcome and great service. It was a hot day and the chilled moscato was a perfect accompaniment to the drunken pasta. It was nicely seasoned and had a generous amount of Italian sausage. Honestly we could have ordered one serving because it is A LOT. However we agreed the fight for the sausage would have left both less than happy . I had reservations for 2 at 5:30. When I gave my name, I was greeted with, "Right, table for 4." I politely stated it was for 2. Then we were seated at a high table in the entry way. I asked if we could have a low table since the majority were empty. I was told those were reserved. Umm... so now I know I must reserve a low table. As I was waiting for my friend I realized that there werr e empty high tables so I requuested one oof then to get out of the way of traffic. The owner/manager told me he had never desly worth someone as difficult as me! I was at a half full restaurant and I realized the crowd would arrive later. Finally he moved me to a low table but told me that he needed the table by 7:30. I told him he made me feel unwanted. I seriously thought about leaving but my friend wanted dinner there. I ordered the filet kabob which was $30. A little pricy. I ordered it med rare but it was closer to med well. However, by now I wasn't going to say anything. The rice was gummy. I will not be going back due to the way I was treated. I will say in my way out the manager/owner apologized. The waitress was a ten and went out of her way to assure great service. read more

I came all the way from Maryland to celebrate my aunt's 60 and my cousin's 46 birthday. We had a reservation for 20 people at 7:30. When we arrived, and no seats were reserved for us. When we did get our seats, it took a little over an hour before we got acknowledged by a waitress. We did not even have menus. We did not get a menu until the "Public Relations" lady came and gave them to us after we got our drinks. When we got our drinks, the waitresses gave us a glass bottle of water and said for your refills. My table was the only table in the restaurant that did not order alcoholic beverages. It then took almost 20 minutes for us to put in our food orders. It took about 20-30 minutes for us to get the side salads that came with our order, but the entrees never came. We also asked them to turn on the heat which because we were on a outdoor patio that was enclosed in a back corner. We never got our food. When it hit the two-hour mark, we tried to leave, and we explained to them that we never got our food. We were given the impression that our food was never even cooked we were told we couldn't. The male host ran into the kitchen to see what was going on. Then the bartender asked us what was going on. We told her our issue, and then she ran into the kitchen. They both came out, and the waitress got frustrated and told us, "just leave, just leave" multiple times. One of the persons in my party got upset with the person and then the bartender yelled "this is fine dining" (which it is not). I would not recommend this place for large parties or for people who do not drink alcohol. read more
