I cut my finger and the provider (Num-Boatemaa) stapled my finger instead of suturing. They did not use any numbing medication before stapling. This was super painful. The wound care instructions were keep it wrapped and come back in 7 days. read more

Front off staff is sick, coughing non stop. I came in with a rash/ hives / possibly shingles ... not sure. I didn't want to use the blood pressure cuff because they use it patient after patient without cleaning it (I know because I asked) and I don't want to get sick not transfer anything from my open oozing sores of my forearms to anyone else. Because I refused to have my blood pressure checked with the dirty pressure cuff I was reduced care instead of cleaning it off or making other accommodations. I'm a reasonable person but also not going to expose and ahold of elderly person to what could be shingles or something contagious and I also don't want to get sick with what everyone else had coughing (including staff) read more

I'll start this review by saying that if I was able to review the front desk and doctor separately I would. I give credit where it is due! My visit took place on 11/08/24 around 5:30pm. I did an online check in for 5:40 and arrived 10 minutes early as advised. The front desk finished my check and took my payment. Normal front desk stuff. She was very friendly, I don't recall her name but she was the only one working the front desk. She was also the nurse that took my 9 year old daughter's vitals. My complaint is directed at the actually physician! Upon reviewing their website I learned his name is, Donald Hicks, PA-C. I brought my daughter in due to circles on her stomach. We were concerned it could be chickenpox or something contagious. Upon examining her, he looked at me and said that in all of his career he has never seen anything like it. He went on a 5-8 minute ramble about having had looked at dermatology books and nothing he has seen has looked like this. So I stop him to ask if this is something he hasn't treated before and doesn't even recognize this rash what should we do. He simply told me to put OTC Hydrocortisone Cream on it. He said if it didn't clear up within 24 hours to go to their Conroe Location on Saturday. I asked not knowing the answer if they were closed on Saturday's. He was like no we aren't but that location just doesn't get a lot of people because not many people know it's there. I asked if he could prescribe something stronger then OTC creams. He refused and said to just go to the conroe location or to call back if it didn't clear up. Here lays the bigger issue - after he left the room he comes back and ask if she could have been exposed to covid. He then proceeds to pull out his phone and show me a picture of another patient and a rash that she had and how she tested positive for covid!!!! He told me all kind of information about this patient. He informed me of her sex, age, diagnosis and displayed pictures of her. Which is a clear HIPPA violation. After he tested her for covid he asked if he could take a picture of her rash. Which I denied and decided it was time to leave!!! I fully intend on reporting him to the medical board!! So I spent $108 (Cost with my insurance) to be told that he did not know what she had, referred us to another location so we weren't a burden on him, to simply use OTC medicine, his potential HIPPA violation and the request to take photos of my daughter!!! I spent this and then more taking her to another facility and paying another fee to be properly diagnosed and treated. My concerns were ignored about my son for the second time. Instead of listening to me, I was told he was fine. Took him to the Doctor and lo and behold, he was not fine. He is in need of surgery and was told a cast was needed to be placed immediately which is what I requested. I emailed my concerns as well as called and Mr. Kempton told me that they would not be issuing a refund as we were seen and my concerns were not ignored. This is despite the fact that he was not present to witness the interaction. He then assured me he was second to God when I asked who else I could speak to as he was also ignoring my concerns again. Such a narcissistic man to be running an urgent care where people need help. 10/10 do not recommend unless you want to be treated like you are an idiot and basically be told the same. I will edit to address the message from Jennifer- I was told he did not have an orthopedic injury and was fine and insurance would not cover an MRI and he did not need one because it wasn't broken. Does that sound like your doctor knew it was an orthopedic injury? Absolutely not. Sounds incompetent. I was not told what could and could not be done. I was told he was fine. Again, neither of you were present for the appointment. And once again, you are ignoring the bulk of the concerns. I read more

Summary: Terrible service RUN RUN RUN AWAY! Sent my 18 yr old step son to this location. He arrived about 7:20 in the evening. He has Champ VA health insurance. His mother and I were just on the phone with the insurance company making sure everything was good to go before sending him down. We receive a call from him at 7:32pm to inform us that the woman at the front desk could not verify his insurance. My son placed her on the speaker phone so we could find out what the problem was. The woman stated she called champ va and was unable to reach anyone. She made several excuses about how the system couldn't verify him and that she attempted to contact them and there was no answers possibly because it was after hours. We immediately hung up the phone with her and called Champ VA we had a live person on the phone and verifying his insurance in 1 minute and 15 seconds. We instructed our son to turn around and while we had the insurance company on speaker tell the lady at the front desk. She however turned out the lights and locked the door. She then told him we are not going to take you come back tomorrow. She drives a chevy Camaro and has a shit attitude and even worse customer service. The fact of the mater is she never tried to check his insurance and decided to lie about it and make excuses. If these are the type of employees working here I can only imagine the piss poor health care they must provide. Now my kid will have to suffer through the night until he can find somewhere else tomorrow. Way to go Dr. Brian Kempton, you obviously have impeccable standards while scraping the bottom of the barrel for employees. I will make sure I go out of my way to let anyone and everyone in the area know what wonderful service you provide. Absolutely the WORST URGENT CARE of any Medical Urgent Care I've experienced. We had just moved to the Bentwater area this Fall, and I had not established a Primary Care Physician yet, so I initially went to this location on 11/15/21 to get seen and a prescription for Shingles that I've had for 5 years. Medication I regularly use when it flares up. Despite the wait..... the Physician's Assistant who saw me ~ Jennifer was at least nice (compared to the horrible follow-up experience I had). Fast-forward 2.5 weeks later.... while my symptoms subsided and 90% of them went away within a week, they resurfaced this week (12/2/21). So, I called in, to ask for the Asst. (Jennifer) who helped me last time, and get a refill on my medication. I waited all morning, and called back to ask for her again, and was told that the prescriptions were on Jennifer's computer, and she was going to send them in to the KROGER next door, the minute she finished with the customer. After another few hours of hearing nothing back, I was told by someone who answered the phone that Jennifer couldn't talk to me, that they don't do refills, and there was nothing they could do but have me come back in, and pay the $150 out of pocket again to be seen. I asked to speak with DR. THOMPSON who I knew was a Dr. there, and wanted to explain it was the same symptoms just milder, and I wanted to "NIP IT IN THE BUD" this time. She said he wasn't there today, that there was nothing she could do, and disconnected me!! I thought wth? Earlier Jennifer was going to call in a refill for me, and now she's not allowed to? I thought the hang up was a mistake, so I called back, and this time, a lady who claimed to be the OWNER, said that they don't do REFILLS, and I'd have to go back in, even though it had only been 2 1/2 weeks and under 30 days. She said they only do refills within 3 days, which I find HARD TO BELIEVE..... since the medicine prescribed was for 7-10 days, so 3 days made no sense, and it obviously was something other than helping me get relief of Shingles with a refill. She then tells me there's nothing she can do, but to schedule me to come back in for ANOTHER $150 evaluation. Since I'm a cash paying customer, I asked if she would work with me on a discounted rate, since I had just been there less than 3 weeks ago, to which she said NO, and she was sorry. That's it. This person has no business owning an URGENT CARE with such blatent disregard for people who had gone in to their Medical Center for a medical condition, and needing a refill. Apparently, she is more interested in REFILLING HER REGISTERS with money. While I understand I needed to go back in and get seen to get my prescriptions refilled, I was totally shocked of how uterly RUDE she was. She actually said, I KID YOU NOT.....said: "What do you want me to do? And then said she doesn't give discounts to people, and HUNG UP ON ME! Her CALLUS, and blatent lack of concern to help me with pain relief, or work with me in any way, speaks VOLUMES of what a horrible women she is. This place is a joke. They refused to see my son because I supposedly owed $88 but they couldn't tell me for what or when or why. After I agreed to go ahead and pay it anyways Latishia (unsure on spelling because no one there wanted to give me her name) was laughing and snickering and when I asked if something was funny she became even more amused. I then asked for my money back and to speak with a manger who they told me was not on location, however when I called back five minutes after leaving (was hung up at first by Latishia) Brian Kempton the medical director was somehow magically on location. After telling him about my experience, he seemed not at all interested, and claimed he's known Latishia for a long time, so I guess that means it's ok to treat customers rudely. read more

Wonderful staff - friendly, polite, thorough. The location worked well for us as we were from out of state visiting local friends. I was a walk-in patient which was an added benefit to this location. Staff quickly sorted my insurance and the visit with the doctor was also very positive. read more

I am not someone who frequently goes To Dr.offices or urgent clinics . I have never been to this location before so I was hesitant as I'm already uncomfortable in these types of environments . First of all, the place smelled amazing! SO CLEAN. The waiting area was comfortable and everyone I spoke with during my visit was kind. I don't take that for granted ! I decided to give this urgent care or try because it was new in my neighborhood. I got there about 9:20 AM gave the guy my card and drivers license. Sat there for 30 minutes with one other person only to find out they did not except my insurance. He did however offer me a discounted rate but they would still bill me after. I just found a little frustrating that they were only a handful of insurance providers and they did not know which ones they except. So I had to sit there and wait 30 minutes before being told I needed to go somewhere else basically. Not a great start guys read more
