So amidst the corona virus pandemic meshed in firmly with the flu season, I found myself sick. I am an ER nurse, but I am not an emergency. After trying to battle this cough for a while myself at home, I needed to go to the doctor. I have good insurance but I needed someone to see me the same day. I know lots of places and remembered seeing this place on Facebook, so I went to check it out. I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism. Prices are prominently displayed so there's no question of cost. I was impressed to see they treat things like kidney stones and pneumonia and do so much more. Desi was friendly, spent actual time with me to discuss my issues, and even asked about treatments beforehand and cost effective means of care. I was there for viral stuff, but saw they do STD tests with discretion, wellness, weight management, and physicals for school and work. The prices are about what I would pay for my copay, very reasonable. Plus, I was in, had labs, treatment, a plan of care for discharge, and follow up after I left! So thankful and grateful for first response clinic and the awesome staff! They always make you feel at home once you walk through the door and address you like you're family. When were were looking for clinics and urgent care offices in the Conroe area to perform COVID test in late March, they were one of the few that offered the exam for us and Desi conveniently performed the exam for us in our vehicle. We recently went to the clinic again for complaints of difficulty breathing and long story short they staff told us that all the symptoms were indicating congestive heart failure and we were immediately encouraged to go to the emergency room. Same day admission to the hospital and the next day we went to the Cath lab after being advised of a heart function of only a 25%! Our family has used First Response numerous times. When you walk in, you are immediatly signed in and taken back. We love this fee concept. It is an incredible value and the staff takes care of the patients instead of fighting with insurance. We have mediocre insurance but are happy to pay about the same at First Response as we would for our Co-Pay. I originally went to see Desi for a cold but appreciated the experience so much I moved all of my health care and RX over to her. I have felt involved in the decisions and approach we have taken. We have 2 kids away at school/work and have used the Tele-Medicine visit for them. This has saved us hundreds over sending our kids to an urgent care. I am now going to have them help me with some weight management. They have tons of options for supporting weight loss and I am excited to get started! I was a patient today at the clinic, completing my medical physical for my fire department. I was seen by Lauren Evan's RN and nurse practitioner intern. During her assessment she inquired about a 20 year old medical issue I've had. I explained to her I had seen a dr several times and was told it's just something I'd have to deal with and there was nothing they could do. She called me later in the day and said my situation had been bothering her. She took it upon herself to do some research and use her background in nutrition and fitness to find an alternative solution to my problem. She went above and beyond to advocate for me and provided customer service that is typically not experienced in the medical field these days. Awesome provider. Can't say enough good things. We've used this clinic a few times now, and I have to say, it has been amazing every single time. Today, I used the tele-doc service so I didn't even have to leave my bed. Desi is always so professional and compassionate. My prescription was called in 5 minutes after I hung up with her. They don't take insurance, but the fees are pretty similar to my copays with insurance, and there are no surprise bills weeks later. They're bilingual, and I just don't have enough good things to say. Go visit them in Conroe or call in using the tele-doc service for any minor needs. You won't be disappointed! read more

I love this place! They were friendly and so quick! My boyfriend was not feeling well and I made one call and was able to have a video visit after hours and all with an hour he had meds and was set. I was trying to break up my dogs fighting when my arm went between them. I raced to the clinic. I knew I did not want to go to the ER filled with Covid patients. Her husband came out to the car. My boyfriend is a cancer patient at MD Anderson. The day before Thanksgiving he needed to be seen but MD Anderson referred him to his primary physician.
