Parent groups try to make families feel welcome. My biggest complaint is their program for kids with learning issues. There is an additional $4500 charge for a learning program, which is a testing center & the same study hall everyone else gets for free. There are so many kids in that class that need help, it is difficult to get assistance. There is little parent contact when there are academic issues. There are O accommodations, which we found out the day before school started. It is egregious to allow anyone in for $4500 and then leave them to sink or swim. As a private school with a "dedicated program" they have an opportunity to help kids with learning issues, but we were made to feel like a bother. They could really make a difference if they would put some additional measures in place & hire teachers that cared.

So disappointed! Her teacher never even said good morning or good bye to her!! Also I've repeatedly asked for the owner of this site to respond to me personally. So disappointing. My 4 year old used to go to a Church preschool that had little funding but the teachers were passionate about the students. I was able to text the teachers whenever and get a response asap and even got pictures sent to me throughout the day. I spent 3 times more here at primerose expecting they'd do the same since obviously I'm paying more. So disappointed! None of the teachers would greet my daughter when she arrived at school. My mom would be the one to pick up my daughter but she couldn't locate the teacher anywhere in class. I never got pictures of her or even knew what she did daily. Quit the place right away since my daughter who used to love school cried everyday she had to go here. Never again! And will be spreading the word to others who live near by!

Our son attended first grade at this school during the 2025-2026 school year. During the admissions interviews, we informed the administration that he had undergone GI reconstruction and requires immediate restroom access when he says he needs to go. Waiting can lead to accidents due to his medical history. This was communicated during admissions, again at meet-the-teacher night, and in writing to his teacher on the first day of school. Despite those communications, our son reported several occasions during the year when he was asked to wait to use the restroom. From our perspective, the agreed-upon accommodation was not consistently implemented. These situations resulted in embarrassing accidents in front of peers and significantly increased his anxiety about attending school. After the first incident, we asked that the teacher speak with him directly to help repair the emotional impact. To our knowledge, that did not occur. As time went on he became increasingly fearful that he would not be allowed to go when needed. At one point, the class was given a general instruction to "try to hold it" until the end of a lesson. While this may work for many children, it did not apply to our son's medical condition. He was not separately reassured that the instruction did not apply to him. The day the instructions were given, he came home visibly distressed and worried about not being able to comply. We emailed the school asking that someone clarify with him the next day that he would not be expected to "hold it." We later learned the message was not seen before the school day began and no clarification occurred beforehand. Wanting to follow classroom expectations, he attempted to hold it and had another accident. During this same period, our son also reported repeated unkind interactions with another student, including being called names such as "dumb," "stupid," and "not smart," as well as playground interactions that made him feel intimidated. While we understand that peer conflict can be complex at this age, the pattern of reports concerned us. As his anxiety increased, we sought medical evaluation. During the appointment, he told his physician he felt unsafe at school. His doctor noted elevated blood pressure and explained that it can be consistent with prolonged stress. These symptoms were not observed outside of the school environment. We shared both the peer concerns and the medical findings with the administration. Based on medical guidance, we kept him home for a week following the elevated blood pressure reading. An investigation was conducted after he returned. While we appreciate that the school reviewed the situation, we were informed that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the reported bullying. It was difficult for us to reconcile that conclusion with our child's consistent reports and the physical stress symptoms documented by his physician. He was later moved to a different classroom. Unfortunately, he reported additional concerning interactions there as well, including being threatened with being punched in the face by another student and another instance where he reported being told to wait to use the restroom which resulted in another accident. In several situations overall, we were told certain behaviors were developmentally typical for this age group. While we understand young children are still learning social skills, the cumulative impact on our child was significant. On a separate occasion, our son reported that a student said he would bring a firearm to school. We notified administration immediately and were told the comment was addressed and that our son was reassured he could feel safe. We were not provided further details. There were also periods during the year involving extended teacher absences with limited notice, which contributed to concerns about classroom consistency. Ultimately, based on medical guidance and the observable impact on our child's emotional and physical well-being, we made the decision to withdraw him. Our priority is his health. While finances were not our primary concern, we were disappointed that a medically necessary withdrawal did not allow flexibility with the remaining tuition. For us, it was less about the money and more about acknowledgment of the situation. One we feel might have been prevented with consistent implementation of his medical accommodation and clearer communication. We understand that challenges can arise in any school environment. However, consistent implementation of documented accommodations and clear communication are essential, and in our experience, those expectations were not consistently met. This review reflects our family's personal experience during that school year and is shared to help other families make informed decisions.

Our family has five children enrolled at Mercy Culture Preparatory, and this year alone we are paying over $50,000 in tuition. We chose this school because we believed we were choosing a truly Christ-centered environment where Jesus, honor, character, and protection of children came first. Our experience has been heartbreaking. Our son has a speech impediment, which is a recognized disability, and he already struggled with self-confidence because of it. Throughout the school year, a student at Mercy Culture Preparatory repeatedly harassed, antagonized, and bullied our son. This student's family is very involved at the school, and one of the teachers' boyfriends lives with that student's family. That relationship made the school's lack of action feel even more concerning to us as parents. After this repeated harassment and bullying, our son's emotional health declined significantly, including depression and suicidal thoughts. In our view, this was not normal childhood conflict. This was repeated emotional and psychological bullying of a vulnerable child. The school knew. I personally informed the superintendent twice. Multiple adults were aware of incidents involving this student and our son. Yet from what we experienced, this student received no consequences. There was no detention, no in-school suspension, no out-of-school suspension, no serious protection plan, and no intervention that actually stopped the pattern. The other child's parent later told me the school had not even contacted them about the prior incidents. That is very hard to reconcile with a school that repeatedly talks about "honor." Our children had never received a detention, in-school suspension, or out-of-school suspension before this. Quite the opposite, they have been praised for their attitudes, behavior, and performance at the school. Then, after our son finally reached a breaking point and handled the situation the wrong way, the school immediately disciplined him. We do not excuse the physical altercation, and we told our son that in this particular situation, it probably should not have reached that point. But we also believe this situation should never have been allowed to reach that point in the first place. We were first told he would receive a two-day out-of-school suspension. The very next day, the school changed it to three days. Then, during the suspension, he was not allowed to receive his schoolwork to complete from home. For a child already emotionally impacted by repeated bullying, it felt like the school failed to protect him before the incident, then punished him academically afterward. What hurt even more was that when we pushed for accountability, we felt questioned as a family. In one conversation, the pastor connected to the school made a comment that came across to us as suggesting we may not "belong" there. For a family with five children enrolled, asking for basic protection for a vulnerable child, that was deeply painful. Mercy Culture Preparatory presents itself as deeply godly and Christ-centered. But in our family's experience, when our vulnerable child needed protection, documentation, parent notification, accountability, and compassion, the response did not match the values being promoted. A Christian school is not proven by how often it says "Jesus" or "honor." It is proven by how it treats the child who is hurting, isolated, vulnerable, and inconvenient to protect. Based on our experience, I would strongly caution families who are looking for a safe, truly Christ-centered school to look very carefully before trusting Mercy Culture Preparatory especially if their child has a disability, social vulnerability, or needs adults to step in with courage and consistency.

Well of them my child getting pushed or hit...When brought up to the teachers you could tell they were doing their best but simply could not watch everywhere. I then had a meeting with the director where she told me "we understand group childcare isn't for everyone we don't take it personally"...interesting take from the director when my child has been in daycare her whole life, absolutely no solution suggested. Within hours of that conversation the final insistent happened where my child was shoved and the children got in a shoving match until one was on the ground-again teachers did nothing. We immediately withdrew her from the school, when meeting with the director to withdrawal she said "as we discussed this morning group childcare isn't for everyone" I was so frustrated by this dismissal of the actual problem, the teachers being overwhelmed and not able to ADEQUATELY supervise these kids. Would caution ANYONE looking to put their child in school here that not only the teachers are spread thin the director doesn't know the kids or care to know the kids enrolled. Not at all solution oriented or invested in their kids happiness, comfort, and frankly safety. But don't worry she "doesn't take it personally". They just didn't care.
