This is by far my current favorite stop along the Sunny Slope Wine Trail. I get to check out the Idaho wine scene once every few years due to family in the area. On my last trip this past December, my aunt rented us a private limo bus from Idaho Towncar and we stopped at the lovely Williamson to taste. The first thing I did when I hopped out of the limo bus was take a few snapshots of the gorgeous orchards and vineyard, both of which were lightly dusted with fresh snowfall. It was a moment. Yes. Anyhoo. Once inside, I was welcomed by the folks at the tasting counter, where my family were already getting to work on the long tasting menu. We tasted a Sangiovese here that was fruit forward perfection with a gorgeous garnet hue, and at less than $20! I brought a bottle all the way back and have yet to open it. Perhaps I'm saving it for a special occasion with the fella, because it's a special wine with a lovely memory attached. Everything I tasted at Williamson I very much enjoyed. There wasn't even one so-so varietal. I recommend the Syrah, Harvest Moon Red, and the Reserve Cabernet in addition to the apple of my eye, Sangiovese. Even as a long-time, faithful fan of both Koenig and Ste. Chapelle, I would have to say I recommend Williamson as on par with both of them and definitely worth a stop if you're in the Caldwell area tasting. Don't skip out on this five star location! Warm hospitality was another reason they stood out to me and the rest of the fam. My cousins were dead bored and sitting at a table looking at YouTube videos *mostly* quietly and I felt that we were all welcomed equally. No looks or comments about the younglings were given. I loved Williamson Orchards & Vineyard and will be back on my next visit to the Sunny Slope! Website: http://www.willorch.com Parking: Small to medium lot

Picking a bucket full of cherries

My family and I came to pick cherries and apricots July 2022 at Williamson Orchards. Fairly easy to find, almost in Marsing, you pay per bucket and can pick as much as you want. There was plenty of apricots and cherries on the trees! The workers at the entrance advised us to go down the hill a bit, and trees were packed full in the area we went. We were given permission to eat as much as we wanted while picking, and we certainly got our money's worth between the six of us! It may not be cheap but it's more about the experience than getting a deal, a lot of fun with little kids. I highly recommend them!

Stopped here on a lovely wine tour day. This was our first stop so we were all amped up! Walk into the the wine tasting area, and its very country/cutely decorated. They have coolers with different cheeses, chilled wines available to purchase. There is also crackers, chocolates and more. We decided to basically build our own charcuterie board to enjoy while we sipped wine! This is fun!!! We grabbed a table outside (tall with stools) that was a little wobbly on the grass, but they had other tables/chairs on the cement, too. There was a mini corn hole game set up in the grass! That's a fun touch! I really appreciated the way Steve & Joyce brought out the wines. Tho it was a S L O W pace, they were informational and told us a bit of the Williamson family history. This is important to me on a wine tasting stop! I want to learn about the grapes, the barrels, and the family story. Our table's favorite was the 2018 Windmill Red. I think I will wait a year or so to open it. I think with a little bit more maturing it will really be a knock out red! without trying I also bought a bottle of the Nectar - for $14, why not! It's a sweet dessert wine, and I'm excited to try it! Go for the snacks! Stay for the Wine! Play corn hole! Great job Williamson, we will be back!

Stopped at this winery on our tour of Idaho. The price was reasonable and the winds were good. We sat outside. Social distancing procedures were in place. The service was rather slow. We had to go inside to get our bill when we were done. But the location is beautiful the scenery is wonderful was sipping wine. They have some small offerings for food.

We went to Williamson for cherry picking and the kids loved it! Brought our cherries home and dried them to bake with. (We tried to recreate the amazing cherry white chocolate cookies we bought after cherry picking!) definitely recommend!

Wine was good, especially the cabernet. The tasting room was quaint with family memorabilia, set in beautiful countryside.
